The Electric Tale Of Pikachu

Pokemon Fire Red/Leaf Green – All Moon Stone Locations

In Clefairy Tale, Ash, Professor Oak, and Bill witnessed a Clefairy evolution ceremony involving a large Moon Stone.

The focus of the chapter To Evolve or Not to Evolve, That Is the Question! was Evolution stones. Misty hoped to buy a Water Stone for her Poliwhirl in Stone Town, a town on Dream Island where all the Evolution stones in the Pokémon world come from. However, she couldn’t afford one, remarking that an inexpensive one might make the evolution go bad.

Misty was later given a Water Stone by Mikey, who was being pressured to join the “Knights of the E Stone“, a club which requires members to own a Pokémon evolved by an Evolution stone. By battling club members, Ash and Mikey proved to the club leaders that Pokémon which have evolved by Evolution stone are not necessarily superior to their unevolved counterparts.

There are some Pokémon that require the use of Evolution Stones in order to evolve, some of which changed over the course of each generation.

Not all Pokémon evolve equally, as some of them require the aid of outside items in order to achieve new forms. There are lots of Pokémon that require the aid of special Evolution Stones in order to evolve.

In Pokémon Red and Blue, the vast majority of Pokémon evolve through leveling up. A handful of Pokémon could only evolve through trading and some required Evolution Stones. There were only four Evolution Stones in Pokémon Red and Blue, but more were gradually introduced over time. There were even two Evolution Stones cut from the series, as the leaked beta of Pokémon Gold and Silver had a Heart Stone and a Poison Stone that were planned but never made the final cut.

Where To Find A Moon Stone In Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl

Unlike most of the other Evolution Stones in Brilliant Diamond& Shining Pearl, players won’t be able to find any Moon Stones out in the overworld, but that’s not to say that they aren’t still fairly easy to come by. The first method for finding them involves catching either a Clefairy, a Cleffa, or a Lunatone all of which have a 5% chance of holding one of the stones out in the wild. Mt. Coronet is therefore a good place to look, as both Clefairy and Cleffa spawn there.

As is often the case with Evolution Stones in the gen 4 remakes though, the Grand Underground is arguably the best place for players to look for Moon Stones, as they occasionally show up while digging. Granted, they’re quite rare when compared to Fire and Thunder Stones, but players shouldn’t need to spend more than about 20 minutes looking for one. As an added bonus, they’ll probably stumble upon some other great items in the process.

Your First Badge

The first thing to do when you arrive atPewter City is to heal your Pokemon, andbuy some Potions and other useful items to prepare for your first gym battle. When you’ve got everything taken care of, you’re ready to get your first badge.

Go into the Gym and you’ll first fight a trainer. He uses Rock-type Pokemon, just like the gym leader. After that, save your game and fight with Brock, the leader of the Pewter Gym. All he has is a lv. 12 Geodude and a lv. 14 Onix, butyou’re going to have a hard time with a Charmander. Using Bulbasaur or Squirtle is a peice of cake. After you beat Brock, you will get TM39 – Rock Tomb and a TM Case. This is a Key Item that can be accessed to view a list of your TMs in order toteach it to a Pokemon. Of course, he’ll give you what you really came for: the Boulder Badge. From here on,there’s seven more badges to go.

Now what do you do? Well, there’s really not much to do now in Pewter City. The museum here is a waste of time and precious money it’ll only be worth a visit later in the game when you get Cut. You can then Cut your way into the house next tothe museum, and obtain an Old Amber, which can be ressurrected into an Aerodactyl. Leave the city through the East. Before you can leave though, one of Prof. Oak’s aides will come up to you and give you a pair of Running Shoes! Hold “B” while moving in any direction to speedup your traveling.
