How To Get Umbreon In Pokemon Go
Umbreon is #197 in the Pokedex and is the second Eevee evolution from Johto. This Pokemon is a dark type, so it’s useful against psychic and ghost types.
Like Espeon, the fastest way to get an Umbreon is to evolve an Eevee with the name cheat. For Umbreon, name your Eevee “Tamao” before evolving it.
Evolving a shiny Eevee or an Eevee with a special appearance will result in a shiny or special-looking evolved form. For example, a shiny Eevee can be evolved into a shiny Flareon or a shiny Leafeon.
Much like Espeon, evolving an Eevee into an Umbreon under special conditions will be an eventual “A Ripple in Time” quest, so its worth waiting until you receive that quest before getting your Umbreon.
Like the Espeon quest, you’re tasked with walking 10km with your Eevee before evolving it with 25 candies. Unlike the Espeon quest, though, youll need to evolve Eevee at night to get an Umbreon.

Evolving Eevee Into Espeon
Espeon, a psychic-type variant, sits at #196 in the Pokedex. It is ideal for combating poison and fighting types. Like some of the Eeveelutions on the list, it requires 25 Eevee candies. Another option is to take your Eevee for a walk as a buddy, covering 10km. Once done, evolve it when it is daytime. Lock your Eeveelution by renaming it with “Sakura” before evolving.
And even if you don’t want to do that at the moment, Pokémon Go will require you to do so over time, under the particular research quest A Ripple in Time. So, you can retain your candies for this particular moment. As a note, avoid switching buddy Pokémon while walking your buddy.

To obtain another Espeon or Umbreon, you need to make Eevee your Buddy and walk 10 km with it. Once youve done that, evolve Eevee using 25 Candy during the day to get Espeon, or evolve it at night to get Umbreon. However, there are times that the actual time in your area and the time in the game are not in sync. Thus, youll have to check the color of the sky in the game rather than just looking out the window to make sure that you get the Eevee evolution you want.

How To Get Espeon In Pokemon Go
Espeon is #196 in the Pokedex and is the first Eevee evolution from the Johto region. This Pokemon is a psychic type, meaning its a good one to use when battling against fighting and poison type Pokemon like Grimer.
The quickest way to get an Espeon is to change an Eevees name to “Sakura,” then use 25 Eevee candies to evolve it. Alternatively, you can walk with it as your buddy for 10km, then evolve it during the daytime.
Its important to remember, though, that all Pokemon Go players will eventually be asked to evolve an Eevee into an Espeon as part of the “A Ripple in Time” special research quest. So its worth saving your candy and waiting until you’re given this specific quest, which requires you to make an Eevee your buddy and walk with it for 10km. Once youve walked that distance, evolve the Eevee with 25 candies during the daytime and it should turn into an Espeon.
Make sure you don’t switch buddy Pokemon while doing this, and only evolve Eevee during the daytime.

Pokmon Eeveelutions: Espeons Shiny
Espeons Shiny version is perhaps one of the most surprising of the Eeveelutions. This Gen 2 Psychic-type Pokémon evolves from Eevee with high friendship in the mainline Pokémon games. Notably, Eevees with high friendship will only become an Espeon if it evolves during the day.
Most Espeons have a light mauve or lilac coloring and purple eyes. As a Shiny Pokémon, though, Espeon turns into a vibrant, neon green and has eyes that are deep blue.
Buddy Method For Espeon And Umbreon
- You must have walked at least 10km with the Pokémon as your buddy, and have collected at least 2 candy.
- The Pokémon must be your buddy when you evolve it.
You can then choose between Espeon and Umbreon depending on whether you evolve your Eeveeduring the day or at night.

Eevee Evolution What Are The Changes Made In Shiny Eevee In 2020
Eevee one of the interesting Pokemon in the Pokemon Go show since it can evolve into several different forms.
Back in 2018, Eevee was starred in a Pokemon Go Community Day event. Which has given the players a high chance of tracking down the Shiny redaction of the Evolution Pokemon.
If you yet have not played Pokemon Go previously, by getting the claimed number of Shiny Eevee to account for each evolution at this point could be tricky.
Considering that, we are here with a sneak peek of all those different Shiny Eevee evolutions in Pokemon Go. Therefore you can pick whichever you desire to prioritize first.
To put it simply, Shiny Pokemon are color exceptions. There is one Shiny color variant only per each Pokemon. A few variants are clear like Shiny Gyarados is red rather than blue.
Others are further subtle, like Squirtle or Shiny Bulbasaur, which have similar color yet slightly different shade. In the core games, every Pokémon will have a shiny variant. But in Pokémon Go, they are unlocked during C-Day, other special events, or with updates.
If it is not opened, it will not matter how many similar Pokémon you caught, however, you can never find a Shiny Pokemon hereafter.

Sylveon is one of the most in-demand species in Pokemon Go at this time.
The Fairy-type Pokemon is the 700th entry in the Pokedex and was introduced to the series during generation six when the X and Y games were launched back in 2013.
Described as a quadrupedal, mammalian Pokemon covered with pale cream-coloured fur, Sylveon possesses ribbon-like feelers that emit a soothing aura. When hunting, it swirls its feelers as a distraction while the aura weakens feelings of hostility in its prey. It will also wrap its feelers around the arm of its Trainer, which allows it to read their feelings.
While Pokemon GO players, of course, cannot experience these characteristics, it is another entry in the Pokedex that needs to be filled, and another Eevee evolution avenue to navigate and complete. This now totals to eight, with Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Espeon, Umbreon, Leafeon and Glaceon being the other forms.
In the base games, Eevee evolves into Espeon and Umbreon based on the Pokemon’s overall happiness – depending on which generation you are playing. As well as this, times of the day will also have an effect.
Obtaining your own Sylveon is far from straightforward. In Pokemon Go, you will need to accumulate 70 hearts with your Eevee before you can evolve into Sylveon. This is quite extraordinary – and requires a significant amount of in-game grinding to get the job done.
That being said, getting yourself a Shiny version of this Pokemon, is a different story.

An age-old problem for Pokémon players since the very first games has been how to choose between the multiple Eevee evolutions. Back then, of course, there were only three choices, but nowadays you have to choose between eight different Pokémon, known as Eeveelutions.
Finding an Eevee is easier in the modern games than in the original Red and Blue, but knowing how to evolve Eevee is another question altogether and the answer is slightly more complicated than you might think. You see, Eevee doesnt evolve like most Pokémon simply through levelling up and each of the Eevee evolutions have a unique way to obtain them. Depending on the Pokémon you want Eevee to evolve into, youll have to try a different tactic.
To make things even more complicated, the rules for how to evolve Eevee in Pokémon GO are completely different. But well get to that later, after weve covered the eight different ways to evolve Eevee in Pokémon Sword and Shield. Whether you want to use Jolteon in Pokémon Sword and Shield ranked, Umbreon in Pokémon GO ranked, or just a Sylveon to join you on your travels, weve got you covered.
Were here to help you choose which Eeveelution you want and help you get it! Dont worry, its not as complicated as it sounds.

How To Get Leafeon And Glaceon In Pokemon Go
Leafeon and Glaceon are obtained using two in-game items. Evolving your Eevee at a Pokestop that has the Mossy Lure applied to it will give trainers a Leafeon. Evolving at a PokeStop where theres a Glacial Lure will give trainers access to Glaceon. These items can be purchased from the in-game store for 200 coins each, and they work like normal lures, except they attract Pokemon of specific types.
Pokmon Eeveelutions: Leafeons Shiny
Of all the Eeveelutions, the Grass-type Leafeon has the most minor changes between its regular version and its Shiny. This Gen 4 Pokémon evolves from Eevee either when near a Moss Rock or when exposed to a Leaf Stone. Leafeons cream-colored fur and brown feet, eyes, and ears are all darker if it is Shiny. Additionally, the green accents of Leafeons usual coloring are less vibrant in comparison to the Shiny version.

What Does Shiny Eevee Look Like In Pokmon Go
You’re far more likely to find a shiny version of the highlighted Pokémon on its Community Day – not only because the shiny rate will be higher, but catching more of the same type increases the likelihood of finding one too.
It’s easy to tell when you’ve found a shiny Pokemon because the encounter will begin with a flurry of stars, a ‘shiny’ icon will appear next to its name, and its colouring will be different.
Shiny Eevee isn’t new to the game – we’ve had an Eevee Community Day before, back in August 2018 – so chances are you’ve already seen these on your travels, or even got a few shinies yourself. But here’s a preview of all the shiny Eevees you can collect:
Thanks to VozMicke on reddit for the shiny Sylveon image above.
If you want to evolve a shiny Eevee and use that evolution for competitive reasons, we recommend waiting until the tailend of the Community Day to ensure you have one with the best IVs. You discover which is the best Eevee by searching your Pokémon collection using 3* and 4*.
Don’t forget – you have until 10am PDT / 6pm BST on Monday to earn the exclusive move via evolution. After that, you’ll have to use an Elite Charged TM.

New Eevee Evolutions Coming To Pokemon Go
The Pokemon Go game frequently updates with the addition of more and more Pokemon species from the main titles on the Gameboy, Gameboy Advance, Nintendo DS, Nintendo 3DS, and Nintendo Switch consoles. So, while not all Pokemon are in the game just yet, all of them will be added eventually.
When Pokemon Go first launched, it only had the original three Eevee evolutions Jolteon, Vaporeon, and Flareon. With subsequent updates though, Espeon and Umbreon were added and eventually followed by Leafeon and Glaceon.
Any other new Eevee evolutions debuting with Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield are expected to come to Pokemon Go as well.

Go Beyond Level 40 With Eeveelutions
With the recently announced increase in the level cap, reaching the top levels in Pokémon Go now requires completing Special Level-Up Research. For level 42, Trainers need to evolve one of each of Eevees unique evolutions. This task isnt retroactive either, so you will need to evolve all seven again, even if you have them already. Fortunately, most veteran trainers have tons of Eevee Candy, so even the random chance of Vaporeon, Flareon, and Jolteon shouldnt been too hard on your existing stash of candies.
