Well, the bad news is that you’re always going to be wearing your plain white outfit when you’re in gyms.However, you can change into gym outfits that you’ve acquired over the course of the game while you’re in clothing stores and you can wear said outfits in the overworld. You just can’t wear anything other than your Trainer whites when undergoing gym challenges. Yes, it seems a bit redundant since you’re literally given the gear, but we suppose that only Trainers affiliated with those gyms get to wear the gear in-game so it works as an in-lore reason.
Where Can You Wear Alternate Gym Uniforms In Pokemon Sword And Shield
Even though players cant sport a flashy uniform during gym battles, its possible to change into these snazzy rewards elsewhere throughout the game. Simply head to a clothing shop and make your way to the changing rooms. The gym uniforms players have won throughout their journey will come as separate items of clothing, meaning players must equip all of them to wear the full set.

Unfortunately, the answer to this question is no, you cant change gym uniform. Even though you can change uniform in a boutique, this will not affect your gym challenge uniform. You will be able to show off your new uniform in any city or Wild Area, but once you step in any Gym you will change your new uniform with the default one. We even tried to enter the changing room in several Gyms before we fought against Gym leaders, but we only got notification only authorized people are allowed to enter here.

Character customization of the player trainer is nothing new, but in Pokemon Sword and Shield there are two separate kinds of clothes, of a sort – your standard clothes that are made up of a range of different items, and the one-piece gym outfit – a special uniform which is used as part of Sword and Shield’s Gym Challenge.
You see, in the Galar Region Pokemon Gyms are more like sports arenas and the battles therefore treated like sporting events. If youve been playing a lot of Pokémon Sword and Shield recently, theres a chance you might have grown tired of wearing the same color uniform when riding your bike.
To change the color of your uniform, you should head to the man in white outside the Day Care Center in the Wild Area. There, hell offer you a host of different options to choose from.
What you need to do is pick the makeover option from the menu that pops up when talking to him. Through this, youll be able to change the color of your riding attire.
The color will be determined on the type of Pokémon thats first in your party. So if you have a Drednaw, for instance, your costume can be either Blue or Brown .
After choosing the type, your costume will be changed on the spot and youll be free to drive around in your new threads.

Like the Galar Dex, the Isle of Armor Dex isn’t padded out with unnecessary and hard to find Pokémon, meaning that it is very easy to complete. Some of the Pokémon found in the Isle of Armor Dex are also found in the Galar Dex, meaning if players have already completed the first Pokédex, completing the new one is made even easier.
Obtaining all 200 Pokémon found in the Isle of Armor Dex awards players with the Mark Charm, which allows players to find marked Pokémon in the wild much easier.
Can You Change Challenger Uniforms
You cant change your trainer uniform in Pokemon Sword and Shield Gym Challenge mode. We dont know why such an odd limitation, but players can only wear white challenger uniforms. However, you can pick your uniform number before the start of your first match. Bear in mind that you wont be able to change it later.

No, you cannot change gym uniform in the battle arena. Gym Uniforms can be bought in Gym Stores with18,000 Poke coins. However, you cannot wear them inside the gym. While entering the gym, your default clothing is the white jersey.
If you dont want to spend 18000 pokecoins, you must defeat the gym leaders to get the replica jersey.
The jerseys can be worn outside the gym arena but cant be worn inside. I know its a bit odd not to be able to equip any jerseys inside the battle stadium. I guess the gym leader wants no discrepancy. Find A Fitting Room In The Boutiques Of Galar
Money is one of the things that youll constantly be earning in Pokemon Sword and Shield. Whether youre out battling other trainers or exploring the world, this cash is used to keep you stocked up on items. However, once you should have plenty left over to purchase some new clothes as well. Purchasing new clothes and changing into them is done in Boutiques in the game and youll find them at major areas in Galar.
Two early Boutiques include one in Motostoke and one in Wedgehurst. Both boutiques offer you a unique selection of items to purchase, as well as a changing room that you can use to change your outfit.
You can purchase new clothes at a vendor. Your first opportunity to do so is when you head into the first town. There is a clothing shop at the top left of the town. Once you purchase an item you can choose to put it on in the store. If you do so your appearance will change instantly.
When you are in a clothing shop you can use the changing room to change into any clothes that you have available.

How To Change Bike Outfit Color In Pokemon Sword & Shield
To change your Rotom Bike outfit color in Pokemon Sword & Shield, you have to visit the Watt Trader just outside Hammerlocke, in Hammerlocke Hills. Hes to the left of where the Flying Taxi drops you off, right next to the hiker that sells cooking ingredients. Talk to him, and youll have several options to choose from. You can peruse his wares, enter the Rotom Rally, or get a makeover. Obviously, the option you want to choose is the makeover.
When you select this option, the trader will offer clothing options based on the type of Pokemon thats the first one in your Party. In our case, its Drednaw, which is a Water / Rock type. Therefore, he offered us the Water-type color and the Rock-type color. You can, of course, always switch your first Party Pokemon to get different color options. The other option is Rotom color, which reverts you back to the default color you get along with the Rotom Bike.
