How To Make Team Rocket Costumes! Jessie and James Cosplay! No Sew Tutorial

I do wish the outfits were not an entire package, like separate the gloves from the shirt, from the pants, etc. I have a suspicion they are doing this to avoid the clipping graphic issues with the other clothes.

It’s areal shame, I would have loved to wear the white Rocket shirt with the black Rocket pants. Ah well.

I want Jessie’s hair for my avatar

…I only see Jessie.

Darnit are they gonna not let me dress like Mah Boi because my avatar is female? I mean James gets to wear women’s clothing all the time , why can’t I wear his? ūüôĀ

I mean thats almost the same outfit, they just preferred to call it by either name instead of white team rocket.

Dude same I really want James pants ūüôĀ

That would take too much time for Niantic to code /s

just change your sex in the customization menu

i wish to have James beautiful hair on my avatar

A different hair style than spikes? Is this not 1993 anymore?

Go figure, the one outfit I would have spent real money on…

same here. I was ready to open my wallet.

I cant believe theyre giving it away lol Made my day

The only way this could be better is if you got the outfits for free after defeating them.

Well, that and it not being gender locked.

Jessie’s Verbal Abuse Of James

Okay, so Jessies treatment of James is kind of hilarious. What would be Team Rockets dynamic if not for Jessies constant stream of insults being hurled towards James?

Even so, similar to the problem pointed out in the previous post, Jessies constant mistreatment of James certainly set a bad example for young viewers out there.

Of course, it should come as no surprise that Jessie treated James badly when we see the way Jessie acted more generally short tempered, vain, narcissistic. Even so, the way she treated James is just not okay.

Not that James really helped his case. As he most often just accepted his fate as on one of Jessies minions, he made Jessie think it was okay to treat him that way. If he were to stand up for himself, perhaps wed have had different results.

When Jessie Slapped James

So maybe Jessies verbal abuse towards James could in some way be passed off as forgivable but physical abuse? That’s just beyond the pale.

In the anime, the episode The Ghost of Maidens Peak involved Jessie, James, and Meowth hunting down Ash and his friends as they attended the annual Summer Festival. Here, Brock fell in love with a beautiful girl. As Team Rocket followed closely behind, James caught a glimpse of the beautiful girl too, and stopped in shock.

To bring him back, Jessie slapped him. Hard. As usual, Jessie shows us she is not to be tested, especially when it comes to vanity. To be fair to Jessie, the shocking move worked, and Team Rocket continued on their mission in stalking their prey.

So That Happened: An Episode Of Pokemon Was Banned Because Of Inflatable Boobs

For the most part, the history of TV and movies has been a wondrous and larger-than-life adventure, expanding our imaginations and our emotions. But sometimes that history has gotten weird. Thats where we come in. Welcome to So THAT Happened, a corner of the internet devoted to dredging up some of the most surprising pop culture moments and reminding you how weird pop culture history actually is.

Hey there all you Pokemon trainers! We know youve been getting your workout in as you attempt to catch them all. All of this 90s nostalgia is great, but in our quest to remember the best, we ran into a few Pokemon-shaped skeletons in the closet. Specifically, Im talking about Pokemons banned episodes.

Its not too odd that the series would have banned episodes. After all, Pokemon: Indigo League came from Japan, and rating barriers are notoriously different country to country. Other animes that have gained popularity in America, including Sailor Moon and Dragonball Z, have also had banned episodes or at the least heavily censored moments. The reverse has also occurred. Though the creator of Adventure Time has confirmed that two of the shows female characters, Marceline and Princess Bubblegum, have dated, the creators have stated that relationship will likely never be seen onscreen because of international restrictions. However, in Pokemons case, the shows most well known banned episode is less sweet and more scandelous.

Team Rocket cosplay

Team Rocket is one of the most notorious and famous rivals of Ash and the gang. They are a team working for a bigger criminal organization set to take over the world by capturing and stealing Pokemons.

Jessie and James wear matching outfits that differing only a little. They both wear white long-sleeved cropped tops with a big R in the middle. Jessie wears a white pencil skirt and grey knee-high boots. James wears white pants and grey boots. Both of them wear a grey gloves. Heres everything you need to look like Team Rocket.

Who Is Team Rocket

In the anime series, Team Rocket is typically composed of Jessie and James. Theyre merely two members of the larger organization that seeks to use Pokemon for their own ends, but Jessie and James show up most often throughout the show.

In the games, Team Rocket is the organization that seeks to impede the progress of the player as they steal or capture rare and strong Pokemon for sale to fund their experiments on Pokemon, even killing them. Theyre certainly darker in the core game series.

In this particular case, well focus mostly on Jessie and James as theyre the most recognizable characters associated with Team Rocket. We can include Meowth and Wobbuffet as well. Ever wondered which Team Rocket character youd be? Take this short quiz to find out :3

When James Flaunted His Inflated Chest At Misty

Yes, James has cross-dressed several times, sometimes tastefully, other times less so. In the episode Beauty and the Beach, however, it is safe to say his cross-dressing was definitely inappropriateso inappropriate, in fact, that the episode was banned in many countries.

Essentially, Jessie and James feel the need to dress in bikinis and compete against Ashs tween friend Misty. In one scene, we see James strutting his stuff, sporting inflatable breasts. He goes further than that, though, by grabbing his own, taunting Misty, and shaming her for her smaller cup size.

There are so many problems with this scene that its difficult to pinpoint just one issue. Suffice it to say, this was undoubtedly one of Team Rockets most inappropriate moments, so much so that it may not have even been funny.

    Their Treatment Of Pokmon

Although Team Rockets overarching mission always seemed to be some kind of abstract form of world domination, their method for achieving this always seemed to somehow surround the use of Pokémon. In doing so, Pokémon would often wind up abused and mistreated, being used by Team Rocket in the most wretched ways.

And its not even just other Pokémon that they would treat badlyindeed, arguably the Pokémon most psychologically and physically abused by Team Rocket was their own pet, Meowth.

As inappropriate as this behaviour was, the theme of the show was actually meant to highlight that this was not okay. Because Team Rocket would constantly fail, a theme that kids could pull from this is that being evil and treating animals badly is not beneficial in the long run.

    List Of Team Rocket’s Disguises

Pokémon the Series: Sun & Moon

Jessie, James, and Meowth, like other Team Rocket members, often use a variety of disguises in order to carry out their schemes. The obvious and bizarre costumes serve as a running gag in the anime, where Ash and his friends usually fail to recognize Team Rocket until it is too late.

With this super-easy costume from Keeping It Simple, you can truly be the very best — yes, like no one ever was. All you need are basic sewing and painting skills to pull this one off like a pro.

What you’ll need for the vest:

    • 1 blue vest
    • Yellow felt, enough for a band around the bottom of the vest and the pockets

What you’ll need for the other pieces:

    • 1 red hat plus white and black felt to attach to it
    • Glue
    • 1 small styrofoam ball, plus white and black paint
    • Green gloves

The creator of this particular costume sewed the shirt into the vest, but if you’re going to wear a different shirt under the vest, you can just cut the collar and sleeves off, then sew them to the inside of the vest — which might be the easier route to take. For the gloves, you could cut the tips off the fingers of any green pair of gloves.

The yellow felt lining gets sewn onto the inside of the vest, both for pockets and bottoms. Hand-sewing might be easier because of the location of it, but you could use a sewing machine if you’ve got one handy.

Jessie And Misty Are The Same Person

I may have embellished a bit, but little-known fact about Jessie’s voice actress, Rachael Lillis is that she also provided the voice for a handful of other characters, including ones in Pok√©mon. Given her vocal range, she was able to go from a sultry feminine voice to all manner of animalistic and often-times silly noises.

Her ‘Pok√©dex’ of credits include Jigglypuff, Goldeen, Horsea, Poliwag, Venonat, Torchic, Silcoon, and Beautifly. She also voiced Chansey, which is ironic considering Jessie’s history, and even Pikachu. In a way, she was trying to find herself all along…

And of course, her voice was also lent to the character of Misty, of one Ash’s closest friends. It’s a fact that often surprises many fans of the show. Just goes to show how much voice talent Rachael really has.

Pokémon Lets go pikachu Team Rocket Jessie and James final battle Team Rocket costume 2

Team Rocket has made a glorious return in the latest season of the Pokemon anime, threatening the world of Ash Ketchum, Go, and Pikachu with a serious power up. Given a device by their boss to help empower their organization, Jesse, James, and Meowth can now access some of the strongest pocket monsters around to aid them in their quest. Besides this new found ability, Team Rocket are still the lovable foes that bungle their way through the adventures of Ash Ketchum and company and now, one particular event from the past has been highlighted by even the official Pokemon Twitter Account!

Jesse and James have long been a pair that have been relegated to something of a joke, appearing before Ash and his pals in ridiculous costumes to attempt to get the upper hand. While most of their disguises have been hilarious, one of the best being when they sported wedding attire with a twist. As James pretended to be the bridge and Jesse the groom, this image has once again been making the rounds on social media!

Pokemon’s Official Twitter Account shared a number of different periods in time throughout the anime when Jesse and James, and sometimes Meowth, wore disguises in order to attempt to get the upper hand on their opponents and swipe some Pokemon for their boss:

    Their Many Deadly Pitfall Traps

As one of Team Rockets most effective and hilarious tricks, the Team Rocket Pitfall Traps are truly iconic. However, have we ever stopped to think just how dangerous they really are? Under any normal circumstance, the trio would likely be charged with first degree murder, considering the holes were usually several feet deep and also quite well-hidden.

Most notably, the pitfall traps from the episodes The Stolen Stones, Heres Looking at You, and Right on, Rhydon could have easily killed someone, or at least severely injured them.

But maybe thats the beauty of the traps. While effective, they never actually killed anyone, despite that being a feat of gravity. The intention was still to stop Ash and friends in any way possible, though, which means Team Rocket may have in some ways hoped that someone would die falling through. Either way, the attempt was rather inappropriate on their part.

    The Electric Tale Of Pikachu

Jessie appears in The Electric Tale of Pikachu along with her teammates James and Meowth.

Her first appearance is in Pikachu’s Excellent Adventure. She, James and Meowth tag along with a group of lost Pok√©mon, including Pikachu, to try to find the Hidden Village. When they arrive, she and James attempt to steal the Pok√©mon living in the village, but they are quickly expelled by a Kangaskhan. In this chapter, she uses an Ekans in battle.

Jessie’s next appearance is in You Gotta Have Friends. She and James attempt to steal a herd of wild Pikachu. At this point in the manga, Jessie’s Ekans has evolved into Arbok, though its evolution is not depicted in the manga.

Following this, Jessie and James begin regularly appearing in the manga, following Ash to the Pokémon League championship at Indigo Plateau and cheering him on at the Orange League. Jessie, along with James, seems to maintain a friendship or at least acquaintance with Ash, as he has the Team Rocket trio deliver a letter to his mother as they are passing Pallet Town in Epilogue: Wild Type. In this epilogue chapter, she is shown as slightly older with a shorter hairdo.

While in the anime, the nature of Jessie’s relationship with James is not explicitly stated, in the epilogue of the manga, James is shown confessing his love to Jessie. They are shown afterwards married with Jessie visibly pregnant.
