Hidden Locations In Pokmon Red And Blue Only Experts Found

Pokemon Fire Red: ALL Legendary Pokemon Locations!!!

Pokémon Red and Blue entertained a generation of kids who still have unfinished business with the game today.

Pokémon Red;and;Blue;were the very first Pokémon video games available to the American public, part of the now-historic Generation I games that brought the Pokémon franchise to the world. They may not have seemed like anything special back then– just another role playing game with a gimmick — but they spawned a media franchise that today dominates television, video games, and even mobile games.

Each Pokémon generation has its share of fanatics, but every Pokémon fan remembers Generation I. Later remade in;FireRed and;LeafGreen,;Pokémon Red;and;Blue made an indelible impact on the memories of children around the world. Part of the reason for that was the secrets contained within the games.

The first generation of Pokémon games are filled with places hidden to the casual observer, places that players can only reach through glitches or just good old fashioned hard work. This list is about those hidden locations.

Some of these hidden locations will be obvious to the experienced Pokémon fan, but some will be a little more obscure. Some locations are easy to find in;Red and;Blue as long as the player explores each area of the map thoroughly, but some are only possible to reach if the player manipulates the game.

These are;15 Hidden Locations In Pokémon Red And Blue.

Where To Ev Train In Pokmon Firered & Leafgreen

Its much harder to find good spots to train against wild Pokémon to raise EVs in FireRed & LeafGreen, so youll need to rely on the Vs. Seeker for the most part for EV Training. Keep in mind that some Trainers will level up at certain points in the game this guide assumes youve beaten the game and have unlocked the final rematches against Trainers.

Its a good idea to use a scout Pokémon to locate the Trainer on the route youre looking for so you dont accidentally give the Pokémon youre EV Training the wrong EVs by mistakenly fighting the wrong Trainer. Once youve located the Trainer youre looking for, ride your bike back and forth to reset the Vs. Seeker, register it to your Select button, and then press that after every 1520 seconds of bike riding.

Also, keep in mind that the Power Items are not available in FireRed & LeafGreen, and, on top of that, you cannot contract the Pokérus in FireRed & LeafGreen youd have to trade with Ruby, Sapphire, or Emerald in order to get an infected Pokémon. Because of this, the only way you may have to speed up EV Training may be the Macho Brace.

The Treetops Of Kanto

Some glitches sound a bit more interesting than they end up being. Climbing trees is not something you can do in the original generation of Pokémon games; players would have to wait a few years for that.

If;the player has one of their Pokémon use Cut on a small tree, the tree will disappear. If the player then stands on the spot the tree used to be, saves on that spot and turns the game off, the player will be standing on top of the tree when the game turns back on.

This happens because the game would not remember that the tree had been cut, and every time the game was turned off it would simply load up as if they never had been.

The Rest Of The Sights

Once you’ve completed your errand, return to Viridian City. You may return to the Poké Mart, as the clerk will now let you buy the Poké Mart’s products. In addition to the five Poké Balls obtained from Professor Oak, you may wish to buy more, as well as some Potions or an Antidote or two, out of great caution. Some foes can poison your Pokémon in the Viridian Forest coming up next.

The building immediately above the Pokémon Center is the Pokémon School. You can acquire some good tips by reading them off of the blackboard. There is a potion hidden behind the weird tree in the northwest corner of town. But you can’t go any further north; a sleeping man is blocking your way and won’t move until you’ve made your delivery to Professor Oak.

If you head north, you’ll find that the old man who was blocking your path has finally gotten himself together and out of your way. He will then proceed to give you a lesson on the proper use of Poké Balls. When he’s finished, he will hand you the key item Teachy TV which provides players with plenty of helpful tips and lesson that can be viewed at any time. You can now head past him to Viridian Forest, the area you’ll have to cross to get to your next destination.

Whatever the case, the Fly HM is all yours and the backtracking was all worth it. There are a couple more things to bear in mind, though.

As such, youll want to take the western exit out of Lavender Town from Route 8 to the short underground path to Route 7. Pass through this route, and youll find yourself back in Celadon.

How Many Evs Youll Actually Gain

Its important to keep in mind that all of the numbers listed above for how many EVs each Pokémon give are their base yield, so thats before any multipliers or bonuses. The actual number youll get should be much higher than that.

  • If you have the Macho Brace but no Pokérus or the Pokérus but no Macho Brace
  • If the Pokémons base EV yield is 1, youll get 2 EVs each.
  • If the Pokémons base EV yield is 2, youll get 4 EVs each.

    Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen

Pokémon FireRed Version and Pokémon LeafGreen Version are a pair of core seriesGeneration III games that are set in the Kantoregion. They were released in Japan on January 29, 2004, in North America on September 9, 2004, in Australia on September 23, 2004 and in Europe on October 1, 2004.

As the first remakes in the Pokémon franchise, the games revisit the original pair of Pokémon games, Pokémon Red and Green Versions. The remakes feature the characters, plot elements, and challenges from the originals, along with several updates introduced in Generation III.

The Game Boy Advance Wireless Adapter was initially included with the games when they were first released, eliminating the need for Game Link Cables when trading between the two games . In later copies, it was sold separately.

FireRed and LeafGreen went on to become the second best-selling games on the Game Boy Advance, only behind Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire. They also received Nintendo‘s Player’s Choice awards.

Cross The Wilds To Viridian City

Pokemon The Last Fire Red Mega Stone Locations

You begin your journey at the bottom of route #1, and must travel north. Route #1 is very peaceful, and doesn’t contain many interesting features. As a result, there’s not a lot of things to do on your first trip to Viridian City. One of the first people you will encounter is a woman who offers you a free Potion. Don’t miss out on that.

Wild Pidgeys and Rattatas abound, but without any Poké Balls of your own, the only thing fighting them is good for is EXP. Be careful that they don’t wear you down, and stick with your damage-dealing regular attacks. To avoid the fights altogether, spend as little time as possible walking through the grassy areas. They’re the only areas where wild Pokémon lurk, so it’s the only time you’re at risk of being attacked.

    Catching And Raising Pokmon

You may want to go straight to Viridian Forest, but don’t be too hasty! Route #1 was full of Pokémon that you can catch anywhere, but the area West of here, Route #22, has a few interesting finds. But don’t go past the grassy area, or your rival might challenge you to a fight when you’re not quite ready. You’ll want to have a bunch of good Pokémon before you attempt to challenge the Viridian Forest. Spend the next few minutes tracking some down in Route #22.

Whether you’re trying to catch all of the Pokémon you see, or just the ones that you need, you should always be prepared for a chance encounter with a rare Pokémon. This means having at least 3 or 4 Poké Balls on you at all times, and at least one low level Pokémon on your team.

The last part is important, since it’s incredibly difficult to catch Pokémon when they’re at full strength. They’re a lot easier to catch when they’re in the yellow damage zone, and a cinch when they’re in the red, but you’ll need a weak fighter to take them down to that level or you may accidentally knockout your target as you whittle away at its health. Sleep, Paralysis, and other negative conditions also make catching wild Pokémon easier.

The Reclusive Trainer On Route 16

The ability to fly from Pokémon Center to Pokémon Center is an important one in the Pokémon games. Walking from town to town is a tedious task, and a fast travel option is pretty much a must-have. Yet the Hidden Machine to teach Pokémon the move Fly, which allows the player to do this fast travel, is not the easiest thing to find.

Theres a reclusive trainer on Kanto Route 16 that will give the player Fly if they agree to keep her location a secret.

You can only reach her house by using Cut on a specific, unassuming tree along the road. If players dont pay attention, they might get stuck walking everywhere without any idea how to unlock a much more convenient way to travel!

Save Time In The Safari Zone

POKEMON FIRE RED ALL LEGENDARY POKEMON LOCATIONS

Safari Zones were once a staple of the series, appearing in several generations. While they function differently in each game, the Kanto Safari Zone in FRLG will allow the player to take 600 steps before they are kicked out.

There’s an easy hack to extend how many Pokémon you can try to catch, though. If you turn and face a different direction without moving to another tile, the game does not process the movement as a “step” toward your 600-step limit. However, turning directions can cause Pokémon to appear.

    Arriving At Viridian City

Upon arriving at Viridian City, there are a couple of new buildings for you to explore. The very first building that you will come across is the Pokémon Center. It is in these centers that Nurse Joy will heal all of your Pokémon for free. You may also use their computers to access your item storage and change your Pokémon roster. Get in the habit of going here first whenever you enter a new town: you don’t want to be unprepared for any of your rival’s sudden challenges.

You can’t go any further north beyond Viridian City for the moment; a sleeping man is blocking your way and won’t move. Above and to the right of the Pokémon Center is the Viridian City Mart. During your very first visit, the manager inside won’t sell you anything. He does, however, run a delivery service on the side, and will ask for your assistance in delivering a package to Professor Oak. It must be important, so help him out.
