Find Excadrill In Pokmon Sword & Shield
Excadrill are available exclusively in the Overworld and only spawn under certain weather conditions. The highest chance of finding Excadrill is at Giant’s Mirror in Sandstorms, Snowstorms, Snow, or Intense Sun, once players have reached Level 31-34. Under each of these conditions, Excadrill has a 60% chance of spawning.
Players can also find Excadrill in a few other locations and under a few other weather conditions. These are:
- Lake of Outrage: During Sandstorms at Level 55-58
- Giant’s Mirror: At Level 31-34, in Normal Weather, or when it is Overcast, Heavy Fog, or Raining
- Giant’s Cap: Wandering here during Intense Sun or Sandstorms
If players want to simply evolve Excadrill from Drilbur instead, they will have the best chance of doing so at either Giant’s Mirror during a Sandstorm at Level 28-30 or in the Dusty Bowl during a Sandstorm at Level 42-47. Other places Drilbur is found, though less often, are the Galar Mine, Motostoke Outskirts, Stony Wilderness, Hammerlocke Hills, and Giant’s Cap.

How To Get Gothita In Pokemon Sword & Shield
To get Gothita in Pokemon Sword, youll have to look for it in Giants Cap, the Wild Area southwest of Hammerlocke. Check out the images below to see where Giants Cap is on the map. Anyways, Gothita appears in the first two areas of Giants Cap, and only when its foggy . Fortunately, once you have the location and weather you need, its not hard to find a Gothita. Its a fairly frequent spawn, so you wont have to fruitlessly run in circles before a wild one appears.
To get a Gothita in Pokemon Shield, youll have to trade with somebody that has already caught one in Shield. Yup Gothita doesnt appear in Pokemon Shield at all the only way to get your hands on it is to trade. Its one of those Pokemon that Nintendo uses as an excuse to sell two virtually identical games as completely different products, but I digress. Dont forget that youll also have Pokemon that the folks playing Sword wont have, such as Sableye. Use it to your advantage.
Gothita is a Psychic type Pokemon, and stays so throughout its evolutions. Speaking off, on level 32, Gothita evolves into Gothorita, and then Gothitelle on level 41. Interestingly enough, we found all three of these in the same Wild Area, mere minutes apart. So, yeah keep that in mind, those of you planning to trade your way to glory.
Location : Go To The Lake Of Outrage

When you are in the Wild Area, also consider visiting the Lake of Outrage, where you will find another Dawn Stone in Pokemon Sword and Shield. The game has daily drops of stones here that you can collect by picking up the sparking objects from the ground.
Each shiny spot would present a random evolution stone that you can locate right below the giant rocks located in the Lake of Outrage. It is recommended to visit this spot daily to get random evolution stones of all kinds.

First things first: Solrock can only spawn in Pokémon Sword. Its counterpart, Lunatone, can only spawn in Pokémon Shield. So the idea is to catch two, and trade a friend for the other game’s Pokémon.
To get those Solrock, look in either Route 8 or Giant’s Cap in the Wild Area. It has a much high spawn rate at Giant’s Cap, so you’ll have an easier time finding it there. It should be just floating around.

Catch Excadrill In Pokmon Sword & Shield

Excadrill is a Ground and Steel-type Pokémon, so it is weak to Fighting, Ground, Fire, and Water Pokémon. Players should use one of these to weaken Excadrill and catch it quickly. Players will want to avoid attacking with Poison or Electric-type Pokémon, as Excadrill is immune to those attacks.
If players are looking to evolve Excadrill instead, they will need to level up Drilbur to Level 31. Depending on the location where the player found a Drilbur, it may already be at the appropriate level. In this case, if the evolution does not immediately trigger, players should level Drilbur up by one level using EXP Candy. At this point, Drilbur will become Excadrill. To level up more quickly, in addition to EXP Candy, players can add Drilbur to the party for battles, engage in training, and show it affection and friendship.
Pokémon Sword & Shield are available for the Nintendo Switch.
