Youll have to have reached Go Park in Fuschia City. Then youll be given the mystery box. Open that item from your inventory and Meltan will spawn around you for 30 minutes. Use those Pinap Berries and catch as many as you can. You can repeat this process as much as once a week.

How To Get Gmax Melmetal

To catch a GMax Melmetal in Pokemon GO, you will first need to get a Mystery Box in Pokemon HOME. To get one, you simply need to wait for the special events hosted by The Pokemon Company. These events will offer you the Mystery Box. Once you open the Mystery Box, you will be able to catch a Melmetal. After obtaining a Meltan, you will get a Mystery Gift as a reward. Now, you will simply need to open the gift to receive a GMax Melmetal.

This requires a whopping 400 candy, which will take a long time to get without access to Mystery Boxes. It takes 20km to get just one candy by walking with Meltan as your Buddy Pokemon, so using rare candy or catching more is the best way to stock up. Meltan also counts as a Legendary Pokemon, so it can only be traded as a Special Trade once per day at an increased Stardust cost. However, trading a Meltan per day for a far away Pokemon gets you three times the amount of candy compared to transferring it, which may be worth the 800 Stardust cost for Best Friends.

Go into settings in Pokemon GO and tap Pokemon Home. Itll ask you to connect your Nintendo Account before selecting a Pokemon to transfer.
