The Pokemon Company has revealed the first version exclusive Pokemon in Pokemon Lets GO Pikachu/Eevee.
Similar to previous titles in the series, certain Pokemon could only be found in Pokemon Lets GO Pikachu and Pokemon Lets GO Eevee, so to complete your Pokedex youll need to trade with a friend who owns the opposite version or you have to buy both games.
The first version exclusive Pokemon are as follows:
Pokemon Lets GO Pikachu: Oddish, Gloom, Vileplume, Sandshrew, Sandslash, Mankey, Primeape, Growlithe, Grimer, Muk, Scyther
Pokemon Lets GO Eevee: Ekans, Arbok, Bellsprout, Weepinbell, Victreebell, Vulpix, Ninetails, Meowth, Koffing, Weezing, Pinsir

How To Learn Exclusive Moves In Pokmon: Lets Go Pikachu And Eevee
One of the new features in Pokémon: Lets Go, Pikachu! and Eevee! is the ability for your Partner Pokémon to learn moves that only the Partner versions of these Pokémon can learn. These new moves are called Exclusive Moves and, as you could probably guess from their name, there are some that can only be learned by Partner Pikachu and others that can only be learned by Partner Eevee. These Exclusive Moves tend to be pretty good, so youll probably want to get your hands on them as soon as you can.
The second and much more common way to teach your Partner Exclusive Moves is via Exclusive Move Tutors. These are characters who dress like Tamer trainers, complete with red coat and whip in hand, who hang out in a few specific Pokémon Centers. Keep in mind that, unlike Pika Papow and Veevee Volley, the Exclusive Moves the Tutors can teach your Partner will in fact take up a move slot and can be used anytime during a battle. The first Exclusive Move Tutor youll find will be in the Cerulean City Pokémon Center and can teach your Partner the following moves:
Pikachu
- Zippy Zap
Eevee
- Bouncy Bubble
- Buzzy Buzz
- Sizzly Slide
The second Exclusive Move Tutor is in the Pokémon Center in Celadon City and can teach the following moves:
Pikachu
- Floaty Fall
Eevee
- Glitzy Glow
- Baddy Bad
The third and final Exclusive Move Tutor is in the Pokémon Center in Fuchsia City and can teach the following moves:
Pikachu
- Splishy Splash
Eevee
- Freezy Frost
- Sappy Seed
- Sparkly Swirl
Pokemon Lets Go Pikachu Vs Eevee: Which Is Better
While neither game in the Pokemon Lets Go Pikachu vs Eevee debate is objectively better, there are reasons as to why one of the two might suit you better on an individual level. For example, Im not an idiot, so Im going for Lets Go Eevee.
In all seriousness, there are plenty of things that separate the two games from each other. Eevee suits me better, but Pikachu will inevitably be the best choice for a plethora of other players. So, while neither of the two is better, per se, one of the two will be better for you. This guide is designed to help you identify which one that is based on exclusive Pokemon, exclusive moves, and more.

Procrastinating On Coach Trainers
Coach trainers are new additions to the Pokémon Lets Go games that offer more of a challenge, and more of a reward, than most run of the mill opponents. Coach trainers usually have more monsters in their party than the surrounding trainers and will have a strategy based on a specific move or theme.
Defeating them will earn a trainer a TM, several Rare Candies, or another useful item. Even if the challenge can be daunting with a party weakened by several previous battles, its important to take on coach trainers as soon as possible, as their rewards are usually helpful in upcoming situations and battles.
Lets Go Eevee: Exclusive Pokmon
Lets Go, Eevee has its share of exclusives as well. Specific to this game are the Vulpix, Meowth, Bellsprout, Ekans, Koffing, and Pinsir families. Once again, you can trade with your friends, but especially with Meowths fame in the anime, this might be the version to go with.
Another important note is that one of these exclusives, Pinsir, has a mega-evolution that you can buy a stone for in the Indigo Plateau near the end of the game. If you want an exceptionally powerful bug-type to face Elite 4 and dont have a friend to trade for it, this version is the only one you can easily use it in.

Ner Eevee Exclusive Moves In Pokmemon Let’s Go
These all-new attacks for Pokemon Let’s Go are found in Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee, and can only be learned by the partner Pokemon Eevee in that game. These moves allow that Eevee to cover a variety of elemental bases to help cover your team make-up, and generally help to compensate for the fact your Eevee doesn’t evolve. They’re good moves, as you can see below – so look out for the move tutors in Pokemon Centers and around the world who offer to teach you these moves.
Are There Any New Pokemon
Pokemon Lets Go is based on the first generation and therefore the first 151 Pokemon. However, there is an exception to this. A new Pokemon has been discovered and its called Meltan. Pokemon: Lets Go Eevee And Pikachu Exclusive Pokemon Lists For Both Versions
In Pokemon Lets Go: Eevee and Pokemon Lets Go: Pikachu for the Nintendo Switch, each version has eleven different exclusive pokemon that you can only catch naturally within their respective games.
This is fairly similar to the way the original Gameboy games worked, in that you would have to trade for some pokemon that werent in your version if you really wanted to fill out that pokedex.

Lets Go Pikachu: Your Own Eevee
If you dont want to choose between Eevee and Pikachu and are okay with one that you cant dress up, then do keep in mind that there are other Eevees you can get in both versions. Going to Route 17, you will be able to find them in both Lets Go games, but with a rare rate of showing up.
Theyre hard to find, but you arent completely locked off from Eevees if you go with Lets Go, Pikachu. Also, unlike the starter Eevee, you can evolve captured Eevees regardless of your game into Jolteon, Vaporeon, and Flareon too.
Lets Go Eevee: Special Eevee Moves
With the inability to evolve Eevee, it can be significantly less powerful as a small normal-type. But rather than Lets Go, Pikachu you have not three, but eight possible moves you can learn from the same tutors, with each offering 2-3 different powerful and unusually-typed moves.

Each of these are themed after the evolved forms your partner cant take. Celadons tutor provides Water, Electric, and Fire-type moves, Celadon provides Dark and Psychic-type moves, and Fuschias tutor teaches you Ice, Grass, and Fairy-type moves. These are greatly powerful moves, but also let you customize your Eevees moveset in any number of ways, far more than your partner in Lets Go, Pikachu.

Play With Your Partner
You can play with your partner Pikachu or Eevee when youâre not in battle by selecting the Pikachu or Eevee icon on your main menu. The more time you spend with your partner, the more itâll grow to love you! As you become closer, itâll give you high fives or even find gifts for you as you travel. Lots of good things can happen if youâre friends with your partner!
Track Down Elusive Pokmon
The Kanto region inPokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! will be veryfamiliar to fans who played the original Pokémon adventure. However, there area few key differences now that will affect how you complete your Pokédex. Inparticular, a couple of prominent areas from the previous games have differentfunctions in the updated games.
For example, theRocket Game Corner in Celadon City and the Safari Zone north of Fuchsia City wereonce places to get rare Pokémon, such as Kangaskhan, Tauros, Porygon, and Dratini.This is no longer the case, so you will need to find them through differentmeans. Many of these Pokémon will now be available as wild Pokémon, so makesure to thoroughly explore the many routes throughout the Kanto region. But beaware that some of these rare Pokémon require high Catch Combo counts beforethey will appear.
It’s also worthnoting that a few of these rare Pokémon, such as Scyther and Pinsir, areexclusive to the different versions of the game, so you’ll need to trade inorder to collect them all. And be sure to talk to every person in the gameyoumight be pleasantly surprised to receive a rare Pokémon from a generous Kantoresident.

Get Alolan Form Pokmon
Those who haveplayed Pokémon Sun, Pokémon Moon, Pokémon Ultra Sun, or PokémonUltra Moon already know that the tropical Alola region is home to some wonderfulregional variants of Pokémon that were originally discovered in the Kantoregion. And wouldn’t you know ityou can get these special Alolan form Pokémonin Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee!
One way to do this,of course, is to connect your Nintendo Switch game to Pokémon GO and send theseregional variants from Pokémon GO to the console game’s GO Parks . Another way is to trade for them! As youtravel through the Kanto region, be on the lookout for people who will offer totrade their Alolan form Pokémon for its Kantonian equivalent. These generousTrainers tend to hang out in Pokémon Centers, so don’t miss out on your chanceto make a cool trade.
Alolan form Pokémonare always different type combinations than their Kanto region counterparts, andthey will learn some different moves, so having these Pokémon around is a greatway to have more options when you’re forming your best team!
Spamming Pokballs At Legendaries
While there is some strategy to catching Pokémon in the Lets Go games, often its enough to just throw as many Pokéballs as possible at a monster before they run away. That wont really work for catching legendary monsters, though, as they can emit an aura that blocks any incoming balls or berries.
During these encounters, a player will need to be much more mindful than usual, and only throw balls or use items when they can actually affect the monster. This added challenge pays off, though, as the legendary birds and Mewtwo are some of the strongest creatures in the games.

Lets Go Eevee: Your Own Pikachu
Just like the other game, you arent unable to find your own Pikachu if you decide to go with Lets Go, Eevee. You wont be able to dress it up or teach it special moves, but just like the original games, Pikachu is available early in the game in Viridian Forest. Much like Eevee, it has a rare appearance rate, but with how large the forest is youre bound to find one soon.
Much like captured Eevees in either game, you can also evolve captured Pikachus into Raichus freely, regardless of which game you’re playing. Your starter Pokémon is the only one you own that must remain in its adorable pre-evolved form.
Catching Pokmon Out Of Sequence
Catching Pokémon is easier than ever before in the Lets Go games, but there is a useful trick in making some of the best and rarest pocket monsters spawn more quickly. By catching the same kind of monster repeatedly, a player will start a catching combo.
As this chain of catches grows, so does the likelihood of rare monsters appearing and monsters in the sequence having perfect, or near perfect, stats. Continuing a catching chain also makes it more likely for shiny monsters to appear. You dont have to catch Pokémon in a sequence, but ignoring this feature deprives a player of some rare and shiny monsters.

Ner Pikachu Exclusive Moves In Pokemon Let’s Go
Pikachu has less all-new exclusive attacks in Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu than Eevee does in its counterpart game, but that makes sense in a way: Eevee can usually evolve into many different types of Pokemon, whereas Pikachu has always been a straight electric-type critter . The Pikachu abilities shouldn’t be underestimated, though – giving Pikachu a Flying and Water type move expands its ability to take apart other Pokemon types through their weaknesses considerably, and Zippy Zap is an amazing move. Watch out for the move tutors in Pokemon Centers that teach these moves.

There are a number of creatures remaining exclusive to either Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu or Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee. Fortunately, there’s a way to get the above critters for those unwilling to buy both versions of the game. That’s because the ability to transfer them in from the incredibly popular mobile game, Pokemon GO, is one of the main selling points behind these new Switch titles.
While that’s a nice way to go about changing up the method of delivery for Pokemon fans, there’s nothing quite like meeting up with a friend in real life in order to to exchange recent catches for other characters that can’t be found roaming the confines of your cartridge. Still, Pokemon GO is free to anyone with a mobile phone, so the odds of rounding out the Pokedex increase astronomically for anyone willing to move Pokes form that game to Let’s Go Eevee or Let’s Go Pikachu.

Aside from it simply being a ton of fun tohave another Pokémon follow you around, there are benefits to reap as well.
For example, yourPokémon companion will occasionally spot hidden items as you travel. When yourPokémon stops following you and runs over to a spot on the ground, that’s goodnews for you! The Pokémon may uncover items such as Berries, sellable items , and even stones that can be used to evolve certainPokémon.
A Pokémon thatfollows you around will grow more emotionally attached to you, making it moreeffective in battle. As its love for you grows, you will find that the Pokémongains a bit more Exp. Lets Go Pikachu: Alolan Sandshrew And Alolan Grimer
The exclusive Pokémon dont stop with what you can capture. Lets Go, Pikachu & Lets Go, Eevee also features lots of in-game trades where you give a Pokémon to an NPC in exchange for one that might be rarer. To make these even more special, some alternate-typed species from Pokémon Sun & Moon are available that you cannot trade for in Lets Go, Eevee.
For Lets Go, Pikachu, this includes the Ice-type Alolan Sandshrew, who evolves into Sandslash and is one of the only Steel-type Pokémon in the game. You also can trade for Alolan Grimer, who gains the equally elusive Dark-type in addition to Poison.
Can You Catch All 151 Pokemon
Yes, but with a bit of work. The aforementioned Poke Ball Plus is the only way to get Mew. Of course you can transfer it from a friend and send it back to complete the Pokedex but that would be the only way. Youll also need to trade to acquire the version exclusives.
