It’s got the highest potential CP outside the Legendary and Mythical Pokémon, and even though you shound’t see it over 3000 in Gyms any more, you will see it really close. It’s dark and rock type, however, makes it weak against bug, grass, fairy, ground, steel, and water types. Its formidable strength cancels a lot of that out, but it doesn’t cancel out this Tyranitar is double weak against fighter types.

• Best counter: Machamp with Counter and Dynamic Punch. Goes through Tyranitar like a Jaeger through a Kaiju.

• Other options: Any other fighter with double fighter-type movesets, which gives them same type attack bonus and takes advantage of Tyranitar’s double weakness. That includes Machamp with lesser, legacy movesets, Haracross . Vaporeon, given its power and Tyranitar’s single weakness to water, is a good fallback as well, with Poliwrath following behind.

How To Catch Tyranitar In Pokmon Sword & Shield

As mentioned earlier, there are two versions of the game. Which version a player chooses to play is usually unimportant, but in this case, it does matter. Tyranitar can only be found in Pokémon Shield. Its bad news for players who only have Pokémon Sword, but there is hope. They can trade a Pokémon Shield player for a Tyranitar. Perhaps they will offer a Pokémon exclusive to Pokémon Sword in return.

For those who have Pokémon Shield, Tyranitar can be found in the Dusty Bowl, which is located within the Wild Area in any weather condition. Its earlier evolutions Larvitar and Pupitar can both be found just beyond the Lake of Outrage. To get to the area where they show up, players will need to have unlocked the bike upgrade that allows them to travel across water. The Pokémon have a small chance to show up, but they can be found if the player wanders around in the tall grass.

Whichever evolution the player goes after, an easy way to capture the wild Pokémon is . Simply throw it at the Pokémon at the beginning of battle, and it has a good chance of capturing the Pokémon outright, with no fighting required. While it is true that this may not be the most fun way to capture a Pokémon, it does ensure that players wont accidentally deal too much damage through a super effective attack or a critical hit, causing the wild Pokémon to faint and forfeiting the chance at capture.

How Do You Beat Rhydon In Pokmon Go Vaporeon

Rhydon received a significant boost in late 2016, with Pokémon Go’s updated formula boosting its potential up to 3000 CP and beyond. That’s made it much more popular in Gyms. Ground and rock type, Rhydon is weak against ground, steel, fight, and ice-type moves, and double weak against grass types. It’s the additional double weakness against water types that really hurts, Rhydon, though, given how powerful and ubiquitous water types are in the current game.

• Best counter: Vaporeon with water gun and hydro pump. It’s a devastating jab with a killer uppercut that puts Rhydon down fast.

• Other options: Any water or grass Pokémon with same type attack bonus will hurt Rhydon. That includes Lapras with hydro pump and Exeggutor, Victreebel, and Vileplume with solar beam. Because Rhydon is also weak against fighting, Machamp is also a damaging option.

There are three different fast moves that Tyranitar can learn. These moves are Bite, Iron Tail, and Smack Down. While Bite and Iron Tail can be learned normally, Smack Down can only be taught to Tyranitar via certain events or by using an Elite Fast TM. This is very worth it though, as Smack Down is the best fast move that this Pokemon can learn at this time, as it provides high damage and high energy toward charge moves.

Tyranitar has a lot more options when it comes to charge moves. This is why it is recommended to open up the second charge move slot. It has the choice between Stone Edge, Fire Blast, Crunch, Frustration, and Return. With these all in consideration, Stone Edge and Crunch are the best picks as both give out great damage and play toward Tyranitars same type attack bonus.
