Successful Shiny Hunting Galore
Its common to see Pokémon fans now sharing their shiny collections from Lets Go!, including kicking off shiny hunting livestreams and contests for their viewers to participate in. Content creators like Pokémon Master Holly and Mystic7, huge names in the Pokémon Go community, are among those regularly sharing their conquests.
These can both inspire jealousy and some secret drive within you to go out there and find your own shiny Chansey or Charmander or Ponyta or whatever else strikes your fancy. Lets Go!s version of hunting is definitely a lot easier than trying to find them in any previous Kanto-region game before.
Using The Shiny Charm In Pokemon Let’s Go
After you complete your Pokedex you can visit the Game Director in Celadon City. Theres a man with a buff Poliwrath standing outside the building youre looking for. Head in and youll find a floor with the in-game Game Freak team. The Director is wearing casual clothes because hes a proper dude.
Chat to him and hell commend you for catching em all. Hell give you a neat certificate and the Shiny Charm, which you never have to do anything with. Just keep it in your bag and it will work on its own, increasing the odds of encountering a shiny from 1 in 4,096 to 1 in 1,365. Dont sell it or its gone. Selling it would be very silly. I was only checking to see how much it was worth, alright?
Catch Combos Heighten Your Chances Of Encountering A Shiny Pokemon
If you catch the same species of Pokemon in a row, you’ll start racking up a catch combo. The higher your catch combo, the more likely you are to see a shiny of the same species spawn on the map. Keep it going by making sure that you don’t catch anything else, and ensuring that your intended target doesn’t flee, because unfortunately – despite the fact that often these things are out of our control – that will also break your combo.
It is looking very likely that the shiny catch combo is locked at 31. Without any kind of catch combo, it seems that you have a 1:4900 chance of catching a shiny, but if you get anything above a maximum catch combo of 31, that chance goes up to 3.9/4900, which still isn’t great, but better odds than before. But what it does mean is that 31 catch combo is the maximum, so you could catch 500 or 31 and it would still offer the same chance of catching a shiny.
That means that racking up combos doesn’t guarantee a shiny appearing, it just increases your odds. This is coming from someone who spent an entire evening trying to get a shiny Zubat and got to 307 catch combo before throwing in the towel.

Fleeing Pokemon Breaks Your Combo
Yes, I know I mentioned it before, but seriously, it’s ridiculously frustrating when a Pokemon flees the battle and that counts as breaking your combo. To ensure that you’re going to have the best chance of that not happening, I would stock up with Ultra Balls, make sure you’ve got a pocket full of Razz Berries and never linger too long between Poke Ball throws. It’s also worth remembering, as I’ve mentioned in our Pokemon Let’s Go tips, that a Pokemon can flee at any point during the catching process, whether that’s post berry feeding or mid-throw. It’s worth noting that the higher your combo, the easier the Pokemon is to catch – green rings rather than red – meaning you can drop down to cheaper balls as you go up the combo scale.
Crown Tundra: Dynamax Adventures Shiny Rate
Catching shinies is even easier for players who have access to the Sword and Shield Expansion Pass. Youll be able to visit a snowy region known as the Crown Tundra. Within the caves of a snow-topped mountain, players join together to battle against several Dynamax Pokémon one after the other until finally culminating in a battle against a Legendary Pokémon.
I myself have caught a shiny while participating in the Dynamax Adventures with a Shiny Charm. One thing to note is that the Pokémon dont appear shiny until the battles are completely over. So when you get to that page where you only get to choose one Pokémon to keep, youre going to want to check all of the Pokémon you caught along the way to see if any have unique coloring.

- Shiny Pokes will appear a different color only after you enter the encounter.

Building Catch Combos To Boost Shiny Encounter Rates
Catch combos are a new feature in Pokemon Lets Go that reward you for monotonously catching the same Pokemon over and over again. For instance, if you catch 10 lovely Magikarps in a row, youll have a 10 Magikarp combo. The good thing about this is that catch combos actually serve a purpose. We’ve got a full page all about catch combos and how they work.
The odds of encountering a shiny increase at combos of 11x, 21x, and 31x, with the last one increasing the odds of encountering a shiny to roughly 1 in 273 if used with the methods mentioned above. Lots of people are going for catch combos of 150+, but thats a bit pointless, really, because the odds increase caps at 31x.
I could send you on your way now that you have the information required for maximum shiny odds, but Im going to provide an example I used last night that netted me two shinies within four minutes of achieving max odds. Any combo works for all Pokemon. What I mean is, if youre on a 31x catch combo of Pidgeys, you still have a 1 in 273 chance of encountering a shiny Dragonite. With that in mind, dont waste a million Ultra Balls on things that are hard to catch.
Combos only reset if the Pokemon runs away, you catch a different Pokemon, or you turn the game off . Running into other Pokemon is fine once you dont catch them and you can leave the map as often as you like. Trainer battles also have no impact on the combo, so battle to your hearts content.

Primeiro: Um Pokmon Shiny Mais Forte

How To Find Shiny Pokemon
Nearly every installment in the Pokemon franchise has some form of Pokemon chaining, where players can encounter the same Pokemon over and over again to get a better chance at finding a shiny, and Pokemon Lets Go is no different. In fact, Pokemon chaining in this game is the easiest its ever been. Catching the same Pokemon back-to-back without breaking the chain will increase the chance of finding a shiny Pokemon as well as finding a version of that Pokemon with perfect IVs. In Lets Go, this is called a catch combo.
To perform this trick, players simply need to catch the same Pokemon repeatedly without breaking the catch combo. The game lets players know how many of a specific Pokemon they have caught in a row, making it easy to keep track of the combo. There are a few things that will break the combo: having the Pokemon flee from an encounter, catching a different Pokemon other than the chained Pokemon, and closing the game software. Chaining Pokemon not only increases the chance of shiny and perfect IV Pokemon, but its also great for leveling up Pokemon as well.
While Lets Go is missing some mechanics that Pokemon fans have come to expect from the series, this combo mechanic definitely comes in handy when trying to snag shiny Pokemon. The higher the combo is, the better the chances are of finding a shiny Pokemon or a Pokemon with perfect IVs. The combo streak is broken up into tiers, with each tier increasing the odds of finding these special Pokemon:

Introduction To Shiny Pokmon
For newer players, shiny Pokémon are recolored Pokémon that get a sparkling animation when they appear. They are sought after for their rarity in games and valued highly by the dedicated Pokémon collectors. This makes them a special commodity in any Pokémon game, and Pokémon: Lets Go is no different from the rest.
Before diving headfirst into serious shiny hunting techniques, lets take a look at the chances of getting a shiny Pokémon throughout a regular playthrough. Since Generation VI, the base rate of finding a shiny Pokémon in the wild is 1/4096. Because multiple Pokémon can spawn simultaneously, this slightly increases the odds to X/4096, with X being the number of Pokémon visible on-screen.
With all this being said, if you encounter 1000 Pokémon, it does not mean that your chances are gradually lowered in any way the chance for each regular encounter will always be 1/4096. This is also the case for gifts and Alolan trades. However, there are multiple ways to manipulate your shiny chances, and we will dive right into them.
Before starting your shiny hunt, it is worth talking to the Fortune Teller in Celadon City if you wish to choose your targets nature before hunting.

Can I Transfer Shiny Pokmon From Pokmon Go
You can! This is another way to collect shiny Pokémon in Pokémon Let’s Go! If you already have shiny Pokémon in Pokémon Go, either from random encounters or increased rates, you can pass them over to Pokémon Let’s Go! permanently. You can do this through the Pokémon Go Park in Fuchsia City – and if you’re not sure how to transfer them yet, we have a guide showing exactly how.
Pokémon that are shiny in Pokémon Go will keep their shininess in Pokémon Let’s Go! and will appear as shiny in Pokémon Go park. You won’t be able to send them back to Pokémon Go, though, so choose which game you want them in wisely!

Getting The Shiny Charm
If youre adamant about getting shiny Pokémon, then youll want to get the Shiny Charm. This is a reward you receive for completing the Galar region Pokédex. To do that, youll need to trade Pokémon with friends or people online to get the version exclusive Pokémon not found in your game.
Once you have all 400 Pokémon, travel to Circhester and go to the first hotel you see in the city. Youll need to take the elevator to the top floor and then head to the room thats farthest on the left of the building. Enter the room and talk to the doctor in the back. Hell give you the Shiny Charm, which will increase your chances of coming upon a shiny Pokémon to 1/1365.33. When combined with all of the other catching methods, your odds go up to 1/458.
If youre close to getting the Shiny Charm before playing through the Isle of Armor or Crown Tundra DLC, its probably worth finishing up your Pokédex quickly. Youll run into plenty of wild Pokémon during the DLC, and as you explore the new areas, so its a great time to run into an accidental shiny. Having a Shiny Charm will make your chances even better.
