Cliff is the first of the Team GO Rocket Executives and their counterpart to Team Mystic’s Leader Blanche. Cliff brings in a team of three Pokémon with the second and third being chosen from a pool of different strong Shadow Pokémon. Fortunately, you can battle an Executive as many times as it takes to beat them. What Is Team Go Rocket

How To Encounter Sierra In Pokmon Go
Encountering Sierra in Pokémon GO requires a Team Rocket Radar before she has the potential to spawn. With a radar active, Sierra can spawn through an air balloon or on specific Pokéstops. A Team Rocket Radar can be earned through gathering six Mysterious Components. These components will drop whenever a Team Rocket Grunt has been defeated.
The Team Rocket Radar can also be bought directly from the in-game store for a price of 200 Pokécoins. In one out of three spawns, Sierra will appear. There will also be a chance to face off against the other Team Rocket leaders Arlo and Cliff.
How To Beat The Team Go Rocket Leaders
As always counters are going to be very important when fighting the Rocket Leaders, but there is some other strategy that you should know as well. These important tips for how to beat Arlo, Cliff and Sierra will help you regardless of which Pokemon they are using or you are using. As a rule of thumb you should always put your lead Pokemon in the second or third slot, then swap to them immediately. This will make the Team GO Rocket Leaders pause their attacks and you can get some free hits in. By doing this correctly right when the battle begins you get some quick damage and charge up your Charge Attack. The second big tip to beat the Team Go Rocket Leaders is to use the aforementioned Charged Attack. Charged Attacks used at the beginning of this fight in quick succession can take down the shields for Arlo, Cliff and Sierra.
Using those two tips + the correct counters for the Team Go Rocket Leaders and you should have no problem beat them. Now lets get into the best counters for Arlo, Cliff and Sierra for November 2021.

- Lucario, with Counter and Power-Up Punch

The Best Counters For Sierra In Pokemon Go
The Team GO Rocket Leaders in Pokemon GO are the equivalent of boss battles.
Having said that, Sierra is perhaps the toughest of the three. With the “Season of Mischief” beginning and September having already started, there might be a shift in her Pokemon lineup.
Pokemon GO trainers can always jump into this battle with their most powerful Pokemon and hope for the best. However, that isn’t advised. Players must assess Sierra’s Pokemon and their strengths to gain an upperhand in this contest.
Counters For Second Pokemon
Excadrill is a great choice with Mud-Slap/Earthquake. If it goes against Ampharos or Gliscor in this Pokemon GO battle, it can deal supereffective Ground-type damage.

Currently, she always uses Shadow Nidoran as the main Pokémon. You can battle with one of these Pokémon at random:

Locating Team Go Rocket Leaders
Every once in a while in Pokémon Go, you’ll have the chance to battle Team Go Rocket Grunts, and whenever you defeat one, they will drop an item called the Mysterious Component. If you manage to collect six of these, you’ll be able to combine them and craft a Rocket Radar.
This handy item reveals the location of any Leader Hideouts that are in close proximity to you. Once you’ve equipped your Rocket Radar, tap the Rocket Radar button to view the Leader Hideout locations.
As shown in one of the screenshots below, the Leader Hideouts resemble regular Pokéstops on the map. And once you’re nearby, one of the Team Go Rocket Leaders will be standing right by the Leader Hideout.
Before you fight, keep in mind that Leaders are a lot tougher to beat than regular Team Go Rocket Grunts, so make sure that you line up your best Pokémon and that they’re at full health before the fight.
Once you’ve defeated a Leader, your Rocket Radar will disappear, so you will need to either purchase a new one from the Shop or locate and combine six more Mysterious Components in order to battle more Leaders.
Earning Or Purchasing Rocket Radars To Challenge Team Go Rocket
After you’ve constructed your first Rocket Radar, additional Rocket Radar can be purchased in the PokéShop for 200 PokéCoins each. While $2 worth of PokéCoins might seem like a small amount to pay for a Rocket Radar, previous Community Days have featured paid special research that included a Rocket Radar among the generous rewards for only $1 and other events have rewarded Rocket Radars as well. You will still need to track down the right Executives to battle, but if you don’t have to fight your way through several grunts each time, this could make completing the Team GO Rocket Special Research a little more doable.

Pokemon Go Rocket Leaders How To Battle Rocket Leaders In Pokemon Go
In order to challenge Rocket Leaders in Pokemon Go, you’ll first need to collect Mysterious Components. You get these items from defeating Rocket Grunts at PokeStops once you’ve collected six, you’ll be able to combine them in order to form a Rocket Radar, which you can use to locate one of the three Rocket Leaders in Pokemon Go.
Once you figure out where either Arlo, Sierra, or Cliff is hiding, you can challenge them to a battle.

Which Pokmon Does Sierra Have In Pokmon Go
The only thing thats guaranteed when battling Sierra is that she will start out with Sneasel. After that, Sierra can throw out a big variety of Pokémon. Her Pokémon for the second and third rounds can be either electric, fairy, ground, fire, and much more. All in all, Sierra has a hard lineup this month with a lot of types that arent always the easiest to defeat.

The first possible Pokemon that Sierra can send out after Carvanha is Hippowdon. This Pokemon is a pure Ground-type, making it weak to Grass, Ice, and Water-type moves. It however also greatly resists damage from Rock, Poison, and Electric-type moves.
Sierra’s Hippowdon can know a large variety of “Fang” fast moves of different types, so players should be careful to not get caught off guard and suddenly deal with a weakness themselves. Even so, some of the most recommended Pokemon for this battle are:

Team Go Rocket Aerial Attacks
As of July 7, 2020, Team GO Rocket has now taken to the skies. Four times a day, a Team GO Rocket balloon can appear on the map. These encounters work almost identically to Team GO Rocket PokéStop Invasions. Under normal circumstances, Trainers can expect:
- Without a Rocket Radar, you will encounter Grunts.
- Jesse and James in their Meowth hot air balloon are no longer appearing, but should they return, they give you the chance to earn two Mysterious Components for the one balloon.
- With a normal Rocket Radar equipped, you will encounter one of the Team GO Rocket Executives.
- With a Super Rocket Radar equipped, you will have the chance to encounter Giovanni, himself.
- The first balloon will show up between midnight and 6 AM local time.
- The second balloon will show up between 6 AM and noon local time.
- The third balloon will show up between noon and 6 PM local time.
- The final balloon will show up between 6 PM and midnight local time.
The line ups for Shadow Pokémon are the same as if you encountered Team GO Rocket at a PokéStop. If you don’t beat the Executive or Giovanni, your Radar will remain intact until you are able to defeat a Team GO Rocket leader.
Pokemon Go Rocket Leaders How To Beat Rocket Leader Arlo
Arlo’s team in Pokemon Go is nothing to scoff at. As with all of the other leaders, Arlo’s team is made up of three Pokemon, but each slot has the chance to be one of multiple Pokemon. While you might luck out and have a Fire-type to counter his Steelix, he could just as easily use Blastoise as his second Pokemon instead.
