When you first start Pokémon Go, Professor Willow gives you the usual choice of the standard three elemental Pokémon: thats Charmander, Squirtle, and Bulbasaur. However, in the film, Ash misses this and ends up getting a Pikachu instead. And it turns out its pretty easy for you to start off with a Pikachu, too.
When youre asked by Professor Willow which of the three standard Pokémon you want, just physically walk away from the area with the app open, and then return.
You might have to do this around three times, and youll need a good GPS signal too, but soon youll be face to face with a Pikachu everyones favorite Pokémon.
Just remember, youll need to walk a good distance . Pokémon Go was designed to get you up and moving. So try taking a walk around a park or in your neighborhood and back.
How To Get Pikachu As Your Starter Pokmon In Pokmon Go
Seeing as though Pokémon GO, at least for now, features the first generation of Pokémon, the three starters from Generation I Charmander, Bulbasaur, and Squirtle are offered to Pokémon trainers when they begin their Pokémon journey. Trainers are required to catch one of the three starters in order to mark the beginning of their Pokémon journey. However, what most Pokémon trainers dont know and wish they knew before they started playing the game and already chose one of the three starters is that you can also have Pikachu spawn with the three standard starters, allowing you to choose and capture it instead of Charmander, Bulbasaur or Squirtle.
This is probably a wink towards the original Pokémon anime series, in which series protagonist Ash chose Pikachu as his starter Pokémon at the beginning of his journey because Charmander, Bulbasaur, and Squirtle had already been chosen by other trainers. If youre not content with the three starters you are offered and would rather choose Pikachu, arguably the most popular Pokémon of all time, heres what you need to do:

With This Guide Learn How To Catch Pikachu At The Beginning Of The Hugely Popular Pokemon Go Instead Of The Usual Bulbasaur Charmander Or Squirtle
Like other Pokemon games, when someone begins their adventure in the of PokemonGO, one of the first orders of business is choosing a starter. Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle, the three original starter Pokemon, spawn around the player, and most people choose one of them as their first Pokemon. However, it’s been discovered that a fourth starter Pokemon can be caught, and it’s perhaps the most popular of all the pocket monsters.
As it turns out, Pikachu is the fourth choice for a starter Pokemon in Pokemon GO. To make Pikachu spawn, simply walk away from Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle. Walking far enough away from the original trio of starters will cause the creatures to respawn closer to the player, but doing this a few times will eventually cause a Pikachu to appear instead.
From there, catching Pikachu is simple enough: tap on Pikachu, and then fling a Pokeball at its head. Assuming the Pokeball hits its mark, Pikachu is as good as caught, as it seems as though it’s impossible for any of the starter Pokemon to escape their Pokeballs.
Pikachu can also be captured elsewhere in the world, so those that missed out on catching it as a starter shouldn’t worry. To that end, the other three starters can be captured in the wild as well, with Squirtles said to be common near significant bodies of water, like lakes and oceans, for example.

When I’m not knee-deep in a game to write guides on, you’ll find me hurtling round the track in F1, flinging balls on my phone in Pokemon Go, pretending to know what I’m doing in Football Manager, or clicking on heads in Valorant.
Hatch Pikachu From A Two Kilometer Egg
Perhaps the biggest grind of the three options, this will have you finding and hatching as many two kilometer eggs as you can possibly manage. The more you hatch, the more chances youll have of catching Pikachu and when you eventually do hatch them, youll also receive a healthy supply of Pikechu candies, too. Because theres no guarantee youll actually hatch a Pikachu, this could theoretically be the slowest of the three methods. Choose this method if youre confident you have time to spare, and youre alright with walking. A lot.

You will be able to get Pikachu in the Trophy Garden location. This location is on Route 212, just behind the Pokemon Mansion. You can get there by going to Hearthome City. Once there, exit the town and go to Route 212, where you will find a Mansion. Enter the mansion and head towards the back, where you will find the entrance to the garden. The Trophy Garden is a patch of grass located behind the Mansion.
You can find several different Pokemon types here, luckily Pikachu has a 40% spawn rate so he shouldnt be too difficult to run into. This also means that a Pikachu isnt guaranteed to spawn every time. If you find one, defeat the Pikachu and you will be able to add it to your team.
There are plenty of other spawn points where players can find a Pikachu, but this is the easiest to find and has a decent spawn rate. To recap where you can find and catch Pokémon in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl:

- Exit the city through Route 212.
- Search and enter the Pokemon mansion.
- Head towards the back to go to the Trophy Garden

What Are Alolan Pokmon
Alolan forms are regional variants of certain Pokémon species found in the Alola region, which were originally introduced in Pokémon Sun and Moon for Nintendo 3DS. Since the Alola region is a remote island separated from the mainland, certain Pokémon species adapted to the different environment and look a bit different from their Kanto counterparts. These Pokémon have different types than the original versions, so having both forms may put you at an advantage when assembling your team for certain important battles.

Pokmon Go: How To Find Pikachu And Six Other Questions About How To Catch Them All
The monster-catching craze has made a huge comeback thanks to a new smartphone game
n recent days, your social media feeds have doubtless been filled with colourful creatures that you might not have seen since the late Nineties.
Pokémon, which has remained a staggeringly huge franchise while you all grew up, is making a huge comeback thanks to a new smartphone app called Pokémon GO.
If youre feeling left behind and need a quick catch-up on the massively hyped new game, heres all your burning questions answered.
1) What is Pokémon GO?
Its your chance to go and be the Pokémon master you always knew you could be.
The Pokémon games have always been released on handheld Nintendo consoles like the Game Boy and DS. Pokémon GO, however, is a smartphone app that shows you a map of your nearby surroundings and markers for where wild Pokémon are.
You can head out in the real world, look through your phone screen with the app open, and with AR technology youll see one of Nintendos classic little monsters on the screen.
Players have to flick Pokéballs at the screen to catch them, and head to public spaces listed as Pokemon Gyms on the map to fight other trainers.
Basically its the Pokémon you know and love, except if Kanto was your local neighbourhood.
2) How can I get it?
A UK release is expected in the near future.
3) Which Pokémon are on it?

One of the most powerful non-Legendary Pokémon of the original 151 creatures is Snorlax. Snorlaxs appearance in the new Lets Go, Pikachu! and Lets Go, Eevee! games is very similar to how it appeared in the original Red and Blue back in the 90s. For those who may be too young to have played those games, or simply didnt get around to them, heres how to catch the sleepy, blue beast in the newest games.
During your adventure throughout the Kanto region, youll likely notice two sleeping Snorlax blocking your path one east of Vermillion City, past Route 11, on the bridge on Route 12, and the other west of Celadon City in the middle of Route 16. To be able to catch either of them, youll first have to wake them up. To do this, youll first need the Poké Flute item.
Now that you have the Poké Flute, you can wake both of the Snorlax you had previously found sleeping. Simply walk up to one of the Snorlax and interact with it with the A button. It will wake up and attack you, making it one of the few wild Pokémon in the game that you actually have to battle. Before being able to catch it, youll have to defeat it in battle. Use your strongest Pokémon and reduce Snorlaxs HP to zero you will only have five minutes to defeat it. Once you are victorious, you will have the opportunity to catch Snorlax in the same manner as youve caught every other wild Pokémon thus far.
