Pokemon Code Cards Value

Chilling Reign: Blaziken Vmax

How to Redeem Pokemon TCG Online Code Cards on iPad! (UPDATED 2021)

Shigenori Negishi’s art for Blaziken VMAX is divisive, but its bold colours and thick lines certainly make it the most eye-catching card of the year. Blaziken is up there with Charizard as being one of the most popular start Pokemon, so it makes sense it’s doing so well in Chilling Reign. Its value has held out pretty well since Chilling Reign’s launch too, having only lost about $30 since June.

Do Pokemon Code Cards Go Up In Value

It depends.

To be honest with you, most Pokemon code cards dont have a whole lot of value anyway. While they may sometimes creep up in value, it is rare.

You have to remember that the entire Pokemon card game has been built around the standard format. While expanded formats exist, the main goal has been to create a format that works for a few expansions and moves on.

This means that the older cards never hold a huge amount of value since there arent any major tournaments built around them.

The only cards that really seem as if they climb in value are those that come from promo packs. This is because these packs often contain unique cards that you cant get anywhere else. A lot of them will also contain card packs, etc. People love those and, once they have been discontinued, they can rapidly climb in value.

Pokmon Base Set 1st Edition Shadowless Holo Machamp #8

Heading back to before the turn of the millennium, the 1999 set contains yet another expensive card featuring one of the original 151 Pokémon.

The fighting-type Machamp is the third and final evolution, starting with Machop and Machoke.

As for Machamp, hes flexing two of his four arms in the image, surrounded by a holo swirl of energy.

There are just a handful of pristine shadowless first edition versions, which makes sense as it wasnt particularly sought after in the first place.

What Is A 1st Edition Card

For the most part, the early Pokémon sets that were printed by Wizards of the Coasthad a 1st Edition print run, not all of them, but most did.

These can be identified by a small 1st Edition Symbol located as follows:Pokémon – Near the bottom left corner of the picture.Trainer – Bottom left corner of the card.Energy – At the top next to Energy.

Aside from Base Set 2, Legendary Collection, Expedition, and Skyridge and promos the rest should have 1st Edition Prints.Additionally several promos were only printed with the 1st Edition symbol.

Most Valuable Pokemon Card In The World

Bulk 50x Crimson Invasion Pokemon Codes

Opinions may differ but the most expensive Pokemon card in the world as of June 2021 in our opinion is the 1999 Base First Edition Chaziard Holo #4 Logan Paul Pokemon Card with a BGS 10 Pristine grade.

Please note although this card may be worth more than a million dollars, the most expensive SOLD to date is the Pikachu Illustrator Extremely sold for $900,000 in February 2022.

The card was purchase by Paul in December of 2020 and was recently worn in his fight with Floyd Money Mayweather. He claims the card is worth 1 million dollars and we think he is actually pretty close.

We value the 1999 First Edition Chaziard Holo #4 Logon Paul Pokemon Card between $1.2 million if HE sold it. It would be dubbed the Logan Paul Charizard card right? Insert mic drop.

Find The Set The Card Belongs To

If there is no logo on the right side, its Base. Every other set has an indicator.

When looking into what set a card belongs to, make sure to see if there is any logo on the right side, just underneath and to the right of the illustration. If there is no symbol, the likelihood is that its a Base set card.

There have been error cards that do not have a symbol, so make sure the year matches with the set.

What Is A Green Code Card Pokemon

A green code card in a Pokemon trading card pack indicates that the only holo card in the pack was a reverse holo. This means that there would be no ultra-rare cards inside of the pack.

Do bear in mind that the color of the card has absolutely no impact on the types of card that you are going to draw if you opt to use that card online. This means that if you are buying cards, you should not ignore green code cards. You will still have the potential to pull some rare cards with it.

Misprinted Fossil Krabby: $2200

How to Get Free Pokemon Code Cards & Packs in 2021 for PTCGO

While misprints might be irritating for the normal player or casual collector, for the hardcore they can be very big money. If a card runs through the printer wrong, is miscut, has a typo on it, or anything else, it can increase the value significantly. One great example of that is this Fossil Krabby,

The difference between these multiple miscuts and a normal card is that part of a fossil symbol to the bottom-left of its art is missing. This seemingly minor difference has driven up the price of these cards immensely, and despite going for under two dollars in its normal state, Pokemon Prices has the card record of a misprint selling for over $2200 dollars.

Psa 10 Kangaskhan Holo Family Event Trophy Card: $225000

Frustratingly for many people, some of the most valuable cards today are those that were given away as cheap, disposable rewards back in the ’90s and early ’00s. A good example of this is the family event trophy prize Kagaskhan, which was given away to parent/child teams who participated in the 1998 Japanese Mega Battle tournament. An important reason behind its value is the expansion symbol to the bottom right of the art this logo was only used on the earliest of Japanese cards, making cards with it, like Kangaskhan, exceedingly rare. The PSA has only ever identified 45 copies of the card, and just 11 given the illusive PSA 10 grade.

At auction, Kangaskhan’s received between $50,000 and $150,000, for those coveted PSA10-graded copies.

Evolving Skies: Sylveon Vmax

Continuing the Evolving Skies dominance of this list, Sylveon VMAX is one of three eeveelution VMAXes found in the top 10 of 2021. A lot of the secret art from this year shows Pokemon just chilling out in serene locations, and the Marshow sliding down Sylveon VMAX’s scarf is one of the highlights of that trend.

Pokmon Neo Revelation 1st Edition Holo Blissey #2

Another card from the 2001 Neo Revelation set, Blissey is the evolved form of Chansey, which takes the fifth spot on our list.

Despite being released a couple of years after the base set, it still suffers from issues relating to the condition due to the white background and the yellow border.

In terms of design, theyve opted for a more realistic blob, but its still surrounded by silver holofoil which is damaged easily.

There are just 10 gem mint copies as of now, making for one of the rarest commercially available Pokémon cards ever produced.

Pokmon Base Set 1st Edition Shadowless Holo Hitmonchan #7

Pokemon TCG: Copperajah V Box

Back to the 1999 base set, where were looking at one of the greatest fighting Pokémon ever.

A homage to the quick fists of Jackie Chan, this humanoid monster sports a pair of boxing gloves, and even throws a jab as a basic attack.

The rarest card weve seen so far, there are just 56 gem mint copies at the current time of writing.

This has translated to sky-high prices, even when compared to many of the other holos seen above.

In any case, its definitely deserving of a place on the list.

The Most Valuable First Edition Pokmon Cards Of All

Its amazing to think that a set that is barely 20 years old will sell for millions if youre looking at a complete collection of pristine graded cards.

The original 1999 release is definitely the pinnacle for now, and they look unlikely to be beaten anytime soon.

There are a couple of decent options from 2000 onwards, but they just cant compete with the popularity of the original 151.

The Charizard was always the chase card, but its still insane to think that it could be bought for less than $10,000 back in 2016. What will the value be in 2026?

Shining Fates : Charizard Vmax

FAST & EASY – How To Find The Value Of Any Pokemon Card!

Remember Shining Fates? The collector’s focused release snuck out at the very start of 2021, and featured dozens of Pokemon in their shiny alternative colours. Particularly valuable cards were found in the ‘Shiny Vault’, which were foil, shiny versions of popular Pokemon, and leading the way in that was this shiny Charizard VMAX.

This year’s been pretty light on Charizard, which is a sure-fire way for an expansion to sell. If you were wondering where the year’s other big Charizard card is, the Celebrations Classic Collection Charizard, which is a reprint of the massively valuable Base Set, is currently sat in 13th place, at $84.62.

Pokmon Game 1st Edition Shadowless Holo Alakazam #1

The psychic-type Alakazam is next up, thanks to a great card found in the original 1999 release.

As you might expect, its another holo shadowless 1st edition card, ticking all of the boxes for serious collectors.

Alakazam might seem weak by modern standards, but he was a fearsome prospect in the original TGC. The evolution of evolution, you would start with Abra, followed by Kadabra.

Once again, there are fewer than 100 PSA 10 copies on the registry, with 88 graded at the last count.

How Do I Know What Set My Cards Are From

Pokémon cards generally have a symbol that you can use to identify specificallythat. With the exception of Base Set, and maybe some promos or a handful energy cards, almost every release has a symbol to identify it by.

Pokémon sets printed by Wizards of the Coast before the set Expedition will havethe set symbols located as follows:Pokémon – Under the right bottom corner of the picture.Trainer & Energy – Bottom right of the card.

Otherwise, the set symbol should always be at the bottom right corner of thecard.

Psa 10 Charizard Gold Star Delta Species Holo Dragon Frontiers: $25400

Pokemon, S& M, Burning Shadows, Machamp GX 64/147, Ultra Rare, New, Mint ...

The first of three Gold Star cards on this list, and surprisingly only one of two Charizards. Dragon Frontiers’ Charizard Gold Star was one of the first times it was seen in its iconic black shiny colouring, which alone is usually enough to make a card shoot up in value.

In February of 2021, PWCC Auctions sold a PSA 10-graded Charizard Gold Star for a massive $25,400. Other sales tend to come a bit lower, although copies have sold for as much as $60,000 in unverified Ebay auctions.

Super Secret Battle No 1 Trainer: $90000

These cards were so cool. Awarded to regional champions in 1999, they served as both the prize for winning a regional heat and as the ticket to enter the Super Secret Battle finals held in an undisclosed location in Tokyo on August 22, 1999.

There are estimated to only be seven of these cards in existence, all of which have been graded by the PSA. A PSA 10 copy of the card sold at auction in 2020 for a massive $90,000, but the seller is hoping to get even more for it, as it is now up for offers from a starting price of $198,000.

Fusion Strike: Espeon Vmax

The last Fusion Strike card on the list is Espeon VMAX, which has risen above Gengar VMAX to become the new most valuable card in the expansion. It’s easy to see why, though, as a sleepy, gigantic Espeon resting on a Tudor-style roof is one of the cutest bits of art released for the game in quite a while.

Do All Pokemon Packs Have Codes

Since the Pokemon Trading Card Game launched online, all Pokemon packs produced by The Pokemon Company will have a code card inside. This is unlikely to change as the online game has rapidly increased in popularity.

You will not find Pokemon code cards in packs that have been put together by a third-party e.g. some of the Walmart or Target specific packs. A lot of the time, the code cards have been removed. If they are still in there, then there is a good chance that they do not correspond to the cards in the pack.
