How To Use A Pokmon Go Cp Calculator To Work Out Your Evolution Cp Purified Stats And Ivs

Pokemon GO – WATCH THIS BEFORE YOU EVOLVE! (CP Calculator!)

What even is a Pokémon Go CP calculator, and why would you ever need it? To be quite honest, its a complicated system of guesswork and estimation. You use a CP calculator to work out approximately how strong your Pokémon will be when you evolve it. Well go into the details below, but thats all you need to know to get started.

However long youve been playing Pokémon Go, youll have a variety of Pokémon all sitting with different CPs, but even then you might not know exactly what a Pokémon Go CP calculator is. Personally Ive got everything from a 4138CP Mewtwo to a 10CP Pikachu wearing an adorable Mimikyu costume. We wont go into how meta it is that Pikachu is wearing a costume of a Pokémon thats disguised as a Pikachu, but my point is that Mewtwo is clearly a lot stronger than this electric rat, no matter how cute she is.

Generally, the higher your Pokémons CP, the better. However, there are certain situations where you might want a Pokémon with a lower CP, for instance to compete in the Go Battle League tournaments that implement CP restrictions. But first, how does it all work?

The Basics Of Gym Battles

Gyms work like this: A player takes over a gym by winning battles, claiming it for their team. That player can then leave one Pokémon from their collection behind to guard the gym, and other people from their same team can also add Pokémon to the gym, up to a total of six Pokémon. Other players can then challenge the gym and the Pokémon that are in it with their own team of Pokémon. Eventually, the gym will be defeated and change hands to another team, and the cycle begins again.

To challenge a gym, youll need to be close enough to the real-world location to select it, which will give the option to begin a battle. Youll be able to assemble a team of up to six of your own Pokémon to battle against that gyms team. If you win battles, the CP of the Pokémon in the gym will be reduced when it finally hits zero, that Pokémon is kicked out of the gym and returns to their trainer. You can battle a gym an unlimited number of times, so long as you have Pokémon with HP to fight in it so this is where the use of Potions and Revives comes in.

How To Find Out Approximate Cp And Iv Values Within Pokmon Go With The Appraisal Feature

Niantic originally released the Appraisal feature in 2016 in an effort to combat third-party apps. While the feature was useful, the information it gave about a Pokémon’s CP and IV value was rather vague. After three years, however, Niantic has revamped the feature, making it much easier to discover which of your Pokémon are the very best.

To get an Appraisal of your Pokémon, tap the menu in the bottom right corner and select Appraisal when viewing, and then your chosen Team Leader will give you the rundown.

The new Appraisal feature is divided into two stages.

In the first stage, your chosen Team Leader will comment on the size of your Pokémon, telling you how small or how bizarrely big your Pokémon is. This information doesn’t factor into the prowess of battle – so feel free to ignore it.

In the second stage, the Team Leader will tell you when or where you caught the Pokémon , but, more importantly, they’ll show you the Pokémon stats – Attack, Defence and HP.

Each stat has a bar that shows you where it ranks out of 15 on the IV scale. To help communicate this information, the stat bars are divided into three different sections:

  • First section – 1 to 5
  • Second section – 6 to 10
  • Third section – 11 to 15

The higher the IV stat, the better the Pokémon’s Attack, Defence or HP will be.

If a stat has an IV ranking of 15 – the maximum possible stat – then the bar will be coloured red. On the other hand, if a stat bar is completely empty, then the IV ranking for that stat is 0.

Pokemon Go Raid Times

Caught my strongest Pokemon yet (75 CP)! Anyone else have ...

Generally speaking, Pokemon Go raid times are completely random. There’s no way of knowing when an egg will appear above a specific gym, nor what Pokemon will hatch, but there are a couple of guidelines.

Pokemon Go raid eggs will only spawn between 5:30am and 7:45pm local time. This means the time raid bosses will be available is 6:30am to 9:30pm, once an egg has hatched. This is because Niantic doesn’t want players roaming the streets in the middle of the night, for obvious reasons. You can however join remote raids in different timezones, provided you have a friend that can invite you and you have a Remote Raid Pass.

Every Wednesday, from 6pm to 7pm local time, will be Raid Hour. This is when most, if not all, gyms in the vicinity will spawn level five raids with whichever legendary Pokemon is in eggs at the time. This changes frequently, so make sure you check the in-game news section for details on the latest legendary raid boss switch.

Pokemon Go: List Of Max Cp Attainable By Pokemon In Pokemon Go

In Pokemon GO there arent any levels and a Pokemons strength is represented by its CP.

CP starts off from single digits and goes up to the thousands. So in most cases the higher CP your Pokemon has, the stronger it will be. Now CP isnt the only stat that matters since a Dragonite will always be stronger than a Pidgeot at the same CP but its an easy number for most cases.

Each Pokemon in the game is locked at a certain max CP level which isnt made clear in the game. Luckily for us, Gamepress managed to get the max CP numbers attainable by Pokemon in the game from the games code. So these numbers are fairly accurate.

Check out the table below for the list of Max CPs attainable by Pokemon in Pokemon GO.

When To Power Up Or Evolve Your Pokemon

Before we answer the question, lets take a look at the all powerful CP stat.

All pokemon have a max CP value which is determined by your species and trainer level. When you capture a wild pokemon, it gets a random CP value somewhere between 10 and this max value.

The semi circle above the pokemon shows how close it is to its current max CP potential. If you catch a wild pokemon thats already near its max CP potential , then the cost of powering up the pokemon to its max CP is relatively low.

HOW IVS, CP & LEVELS WORK IN POKEMON GO | POKEMON STATS ULTIMATE GUIDE!

There is no specific Pokémon Go purify calculator used to understand what your Pokémons CP will look like after you purify it from a Shadow form but there is a trick you can use.

Using a CP calculator like the one we used earlier for Kangaskhan, follow these steps:

  • Add 2 to each of your IVs and input them
  • Set your Pokémons level to 25
  • Profit

Purifying a Shadow Pokémon adds two to each of your IVs and improves your Pokémons level to 25. So, adding this information to your Pokémons current stats will give you its new CP.

How Do Remote Raids Work

You can do raids, even if youre not within their range if you use a Remote Raid Pass. As long as you can see the raid or access it from the raid menu, you can complete it with a Remote Raid Pass. You can also invite friends or be invited to raids, even if youre not even close to the area. Doing raids this way also requires a Remote Raid Pass.

Keep in mind that any players remotely battling in raids does less damage, so it may take more remote players to complete a raid than it normally would.

Remote Raid Passes are given out for free from events sometimes, but you can also buy them in the shop for 100 coins each.

How Can I Get More Exact Numbers

Checking IVs in-game only gives a vague idea of where your Pokémon lands, but by using external apps and websites, you can get a pretty specific range.

The Silph Road has an IV checker that asks you to input your trainer level and the visible stats of the Pokémon. After that, theyll let you know how strong your buddy is.

To check IVs on the go, you can use PokeGenie, an app for iOS and Android. The iOS version requires you just to take a screenshot of your Pokémon and upload it. The Android version will let you check IVs from within the app with the tap of a button.

Poke Genie works great, but there are times when there can be multiple combinations of IVs, requiring you to have your leader appraise your Pokémon and inputting what the leader says to get a more accurate reading.

Of course, this only matters so much. If your goal is to simply catch em all and treasure all of your precious new friends in Pokémon Go, the IVs dont need to be perfect. But if youre a player who likes to try to solo or duo high-tier raids, then every stat point counts. Its always wise to check those IVs before you make a big candy investment or transfer your precious mons to candy.

How To Defend Your Gym

If you manage to beat all the Pokémon at a given gym and knock them out of it, you can take it over for your team. Youll have to assign a Pokémon to defend the gym. For a brief time after conquering the gym, you will be the only person who can place a Pokémon there. You may even come across an unclaimed gym while wandering around. If you do, post up one of your stronger Pokémon to defend it on behalf of your team. Be aware that putting a Pokémon in a gym means it will be unavailable to you for other battles until it is defeated and returned to you.

The primary use for holding gyms is that it earns you Pokécoins, which you can spend on premium items like incubators and raid passes. A Pokémon earns coins for the time they spend in a gym, up to a total of 50, so it pays to get your Pokémon into gyms fairly often, especially into gyms that are about to host raids. Once the raid starts, your Pokémon will be inaccessible for battles, meaning theyll rack up time without the possibility of some other trainer knocking them out.

Does It Make A Difference To Cp If You Feed Candies Before Or After Evolving

[Discussion] Raced to a Pokestop yesterday to catch a wild ...

When activating the evolution for a caught Pokemon, it seems to amplify the Combat Power . Thus it seems most beneficial to evolve your Pokemon with the highest CP, if you have multiple of the same kind.

But what I am not sure about is whether it makes an efficiency difference if you spend candies and dust to boost CP before evolving, to gain more from the amplification? Or is it more efficient to just evolve without spending, and then using the leftover candies afterwards, since they now give a bigger CP boost per candy?

I only tested with a Rattata so far, which gained +8 CP per candy before evolving, and +15 CP afterwards. I collected no numbers on the amplification efficiency though, and now ran out of materials for further testing.

Or maybe it is a balanced calculation and makes no difference at all? I would love to have some insight on that.

Some data I collected thus far:

79 CP Weedle evolved to:84 CP Kakuna , evolved at 90 CP to:297 CP Beedrill

Note: The max-CP “half circle” in the profile stayed filled roughly at the same relative position throughout the evolutions.

When you evolve a Pokemon, its CP circle stays as full as it did before.

As a result, it really doesn’t matter in which order you boost a Pokemon. However, you should keep a few points in mind:

  • Powerups cost more Candies the more CP a Pokemon has .
  • Powerups cost more Stardust the more CP a Pokemon has .

Cost will increase every second powerup.

There is no difference.

It should make no difference at all.

Take Advantage Of Berries

You can use Berries on Pokémon to make them easier to catch. Razz Berries are your go-to berry, as theyll increase the probability of a successful catch, but depending on your situation, you might want to use others. Golden Razz Berries greatly increase your chances of a successful catch. Nanab Berries will calm down feisty Pokémon, so youll have an easier chance of making a successful throw. Pinap Berries increase the number of candies you get for your catch, so theyre good if youre working on a particular evolution. Berries are a random drop from Pokéstops, a reward for increasing your trainer level and for completing field research, and can come from gifts received from people on your friends list. Use them by tapping on the Backpack icon when attempting to catch a Pokémon.

Pay Attention To Catching Mechanics

A colored ring will appear around the Pokémon youre trying to catch. Different colors denote the likelihood of catching the Pokémon, with green being the easiest and red the most difficult. You can increase your chances by switching to a stronger Pokéball if you have it, which will cause the rings color to change to the easier colors.

As you hold down the Pokéball, the colored ring will go from large to small. You want your Pokéball to land on the Pokémon inside that circle, and the smaller, the better. Catching Pokémon is based on a probability calculation the game is doing behind the scenes, and it takes into account which Pokéball you use, how small the circle is, whether you land your ball inside it, how you throw the ball, and whether you use any items. If you land your ball inside the circle when its large, youll execute a Good throw, but getting it inside the circle when its small will give you an Excellent throw, which is more likely to be successful. Also, the smaller the circle, the more experience points you get for hitting it on target.

Get good at curveball throws. If you rotate your finger over your Pokéball, you can spin it on the screen. When you throw a spinning Pokéball, itll curve toward your target. This can help you finesse a shot to get it inside the circle. More importantly, curveballs add a little bit to your probability of catching the Pokémon. Players can also get extra experience points if the Pokémon is caught using a curveball.

‘pokmon Let’s Go’ Training Guide: Cp Natures Evs Ivs And More Explained

Training a team of Pokémon can be difficult and time-consuming. And while Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee does away with some battling aspects, the training part largely remains the same.

In fact, Let’s Go makes it a little easier to train Pokémon and build a competitive team, despite not having breeding. Other features introduced in Let’s Go can help trainers determine a Pokémon’s Nature, IVs and even EVs.

Here’s an explainer of certain Pokémon stats and how to determine them in Let’s Go.

COMBAT POINTS

In Pokémon Go, CP was introduced as a way for players to determine if a Pokémon has good stats or not. Before the arrival of the Appraisal feature and IVs, CP was the one stat that Pokémon Go players could rely on, but it’s become more muddied in the new Switch games.

In Let’s Go, CP seemingly has less bearing on a Pokémon’s stats than in Pokémon Go . While it’s still a good visual for determining a Pokémon’s strengths, the implementation of Natures CP is less reliable of a stat. In fact, it’s less of a stat and more of a representation of a Pokémon’s strength.

Natures, IVs and EVs are better ways to determine a Pokémon’s strengths.

NATURE

Natures are very important in the development of a Pokémon, and are the easiest to determine. A Pokémon’s Nature determines which stat grows faster slower than normal.

Here’s each color and the stat it represents:

Red – Attack

Pink – Speed

INDIVIDUAL VALUES

11 – 20 = 2

110 + = 6
