Pokmon Go’s Next Community Day: September Times And Date Explained

Here’s everything you need to know about September Community Day:

Featured Pokémon: Oshawott

Time: 11am to 5pm local time

Bonus 1: Oshawott will be attracted to Rainy Lure Modules

Bonus 2: x3 Catch XP

Bonus 3: Incense activated during the event will last three hours

Bonus 4: Lure Modules activated during the event will last three hours

Exclusive Moves: Hydro Cannon and Razor Shell, which Samurott will still be able to learn after the event ends

How useful is this Community Day?

Oshawott Community Day is, as always with the starter Pokémon Community Days, perfect for trainers who haven’t been able to add this Pokémon or their full evolution line to their Pokédex yet. With the increased Oshawott spawns and a healthy supply of Pinap Berries, you’ll quickly be able to gather all of the Candy you need to complete these evolutions.

This Community Day is also great for shiny hunters, because it sees the release of the shiny forms for Oshawott and the members of its evolution line. Here the increased spawns will help again help in tracking down the Pokémon you need!

Community Day Hours Features Only

These features will be available only during Community Day hours each day.

  • Eevee will appear more in the wild. You may also get a splendid chance to encounter a shiny Eevee.
  • If a player activates Incense during the Community Day hour will last for 3 whole hours.
  • The usual hatch distance is also decreased.

Berries And Great/ultra Balls

These tips may be even more relevant this Community Day, only 2 weeks after Julys Mudkip CD.

Its always a good idea to stock up before CD. The themed research Catch 3 Ralts can be easily accomplished to help keep the Pokeballs flowing during the event. So it may not be necessary to stock up beforehand in all areas. Active Pokemon from Lures and Incense can also deplete your resources. Players low on resources should remember to always open 20 daily gifts and to upgrade item bag storage as soon as possible. It is an investment that quickly pays for itself, especially if youre able to occasionally grind and stock up on items.

Youll want to make room in your Pokemon Storage if you havent already. Delete room for Weedle so you can IV check them after. Clear 100 slots for your banked encounters and clean even more space for wild encounters. Youll want as much room as possible going into CD and youll want to make sure you spend as little time switching menus as possible so that you can catch anything that pops up. Even common spawns during this even grant as much dust as youd normally receive for a Stage 1 Pokemon on a Star Piece.

1st and 7th Day Streak Catch bonuses are added onto dust value based on evolution stage.

*It is unconfirmed that streak bonuses, increased due to COVID lockdowns, are additionally increased for triple dust events.

Because this bonus can be quite large and you’ll likely be using a Star Piece to make it even larger, it can be beneficial to avoid catching Pokemon after midnight on the day of Community Day.

You can view your current streak progress at the bottom of the Today view.

How To Prepare For Pokmon Go Community Day

THE END LUCK IS REAL! Pokemon GO Community Day | August 2018

First of all, the secret allure of Community Day is the introduction of a shiny version of the highlighted Pokémon, which will have a boosted rate during the event. That, combined with the increased spawns, makes it easy to get a a handful of shinies across the six hours.

Remember, unlike high IV Pokémon, shinies don’t appear in the same place for everyone like high-IV Pokémon – there’s a random chance of each one you encounter could be a shiny. If you’re struggling, try ‘shiny checking’, by tapping a Pokémon, then backing out without catching, then moving on to the next.

Second, there will be bonus Field Research. Community Days also have their own special Field Research tasks based on the specific Pokémon the day is highlighting. The rewards are usually just consumable items – Berries and the like – but it’s an additional thing to complete as you play.

Third, every Community Day offers 3-Hour Lures. This is the perfect day to catch as many Pokémon as physically possible, and with the increased spawn rate, increase your chances of finding a shiny.

The best way to take advantage of these bonuses is to find a set of PokéStops that are in quick walking distance or one another. You can then set up a Lure Module in one and then walk between the PokéStops taking advantage of the Lure and ensuring that you don’t run out of Poké Balls or Berries.

July is such a busy month in Pokemon GO that were only three days in and the months Community Day has already been and gone.

That means, that once the anniversary celebrations and GO Fest are out of the way, people are going to be looking ahead to the August 2021 Community Day.

So, as I like to do, with varying success, here are my predictions for next months August 2021 Community Day and the Pokemon we may see.

to let fans vote on which two Pokémon would be the next two community day events. Weedle and Gastly were the top two picks of that poll. June’s community day featured Weedle, while July’s community day featured Gastly. Dataminers have uncovered the next choices that fans can vote on for August and September. Those Pokémon are Caterpie, Charmander, Grimer, and Porygon.

Charmander previously had a community day, but the other three Pokémon will have the opportunity to have their first community day centered around them. A community day event will increase the spawn rate of the featured Pokémon significantly, and trainers will have the chance to catch a shiny version of the Pokémon. These events typically last three-six hours and will unlock special bonuses like double Exp or reduced egg distances.

Pokemon Go August 2021 Community Day: Eevee Is Back In The Spotlight

Everything you need to know about this weekend-long event.

As spotted by PokeMiners, Niantic, the developer of Pokemon Go, has revealed the featured Pokemon for August 2021s Community Day event: Eevee.

Eevee was previously featured in the Community Day event that took place in , but at the time, Sylveon wasnt available. Now that Sylveon has been released, Eevee is heading back to the spotlight for a weekend-long event.

The August 2021 Pokemon Go Community Day event will take place on August 14 and August 15 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. local time.

During these two time windows, Eevee will appear more frequently than normal in the wild, and youll have the chance to encounter Shiny Eevee. Plus, you can take Snapshots of Pokemon to encounter even more Eevee.

For Augusts Community Day event, Eggs will hatch after walking only 1/4 of the normal required distance, so long as theyre placed into Incubators during the event period. In addition, Incense and Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours each.

While these features will be available from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. local time on both August 14 and August 15, even more features and bonuses will run all weekend long.

Specifically, from Friday, August 13 at 10 a.m. PT until Monday, August 16 at 10 a.m. PT, any Eevee thats captured or hatched will know the move Last Resort. When you evolve Eevee into any of its eight evolutions during this time, it will learn a different move:

    Should You Be Incubating

    Pokemon GO August Community Day

No. With multiple upcoming Stardust bonuses from GO Fest Yokohama, theres no reason to blow through Incubators this Community Day.

Youll certainly want to keep an egg in your infinite orange incubator throughout the event, but dont be tempted by the ¼ hatch distance. For many players, this is not a bonus at all.

Though youll hatch eggs faster, this bonus will not allow you to hatch more eggs. If youre low on Incubators, this is basically an irrelevant bonus.

In the same way that we view Incubators and Super Incubators the same in price analysis on the legacy special box list, 1/4 hatch distance doesnt really improve what youre hatching.

If youre currently batch hatching, feel free to keep doing so, and do so throughout Community Day, if you please. If youre not batch hatching now, theres 0 reason to start during CD. It’s not crazy to start incubating but this event shouldn’t be considered as a factor as it wont give you extra candy, dust that it wouldn’t outside of the event. Reasons to not hatch includes saving incubators for future, events, future Pokemon and shiny releases, as well as not wanting to bother with hatch animations during CD.

    • Only incubations started during CD will have reduced distance

    • Reduced distance remains in effect after the event ends

In addition, evolving Sylveon will only require seven buddy hearts: Ill go over those requirements in a different post, so watch out.

The Bonus: In addition to the usual three-hour incense and lures, all eggs will now hatch at a quarter of the distance. Pretty lame, overall. I want my catch experience.

Shiny: All the evolutions have their own shinies, naturally, so check out this handy little graphic to see. Some are more dramatic, some less so. I think I like the subtle shift of Glaceon the best.

Research: Weve got timed research, as usual, as well as a Special Research available in the shop called What you choose to be. Im curious to see if this research changes the format weve become accustomed to.

What Community Day Moves Do The Eevee Evolutions Learn

When evolved any time from Aug. 13 at 1 p.m. until Aug. 16 at 1 p.m. EDT, your Eevee evolution will learn the following:

    • Vaporeon: Scald
    • Glaceon: Water Pulse
    • Sylveon: Psyshock

In addition to this, any Eevee caught or hatched during the event will learn Last Resort.

Based on past years, if you miss the Community Day period, youll likely be able to evolve your Eevee during the December Community Weekend event to get its respective move. You can also use an Elite TM to teach legacy Community Day-only moves.

Synchronoise is a definite upgrade for Gardevoir. This move is now its cheapest charge move, which was lacking on the frail Pokemon. Use it for added versatility and occasional shield baits for Shadow Ball.

Gallade could also probably make use of the move though Confusion users don’t really need a Psychic-type charge move too . Leaf Blade will still be Gallade’s go to charge move, with Close Combat generally being the more useful option for overall coverage as a 2nd charge move.

Eggs will hatch in 14 the usual time if you put them in an Incubator during the event period, so you should definitely hatch any long-distance eggs youve been holding on to. Incense used during the event will also last a whopping three hours, so you should use one to increase your Eevee spawns further.

Set Alarms For Items And Evolving

Before the event, consider setting an alarm on your phone for various CD intervals to remind yourself to reapply premium items if youre using them. Theres a lot to keep track of during Community Day between quick catching, shiny checking, appraising, and talking and catching up with friends! Setting some alerts the night before could potentially earn you thousands of Stardust youd lose out on if you forgot to break a Star Piece.

The Technicals: Catch Rate And Iv Checking

Ralts will likely have its Base Catch Rate changed to 40% as we have seen with previous CD spawns.

Our easy-to-use catch rate calculator can be found here if youd like to do your own calculations. Here are the breakdowns for players with a Gold Fairy and Psychic badge. These calculations also assume maximum radius Great! throws. Your ability to reliably throw into smaller bonus radiuses may also increase throughout the day, increasing your catch rate.

    • Ralts levels 1-7 have an 89% chance or higher to be caught with a curved Poke Ball Great! Throw. Poke Ball Pinap anything under 73 CP and consider up to 105 CP.

    • Ralts level 12 and below have a 90% chance or higher to be caught with a curved Great Ball Great! Throw. Great Ball Pinap anything under 129 CP and consider up to 184 CP.

    • Ralts level 20 and below have a 90% chance or higher to be caught with a curved Ultra Ball Great! Throw. Ultra Ball Pinap anything under 215 CP and consider up to 308 CP. Even a level 35 Ralts has an 82% chance to be caught per throw using a curved Great! Throw Ultra Ball, allowing for proficient throwers to utilize Pinap berries every throw. Consider not quick-catching Ralts above 308 CP or using a Razz Berry while doing so.

Throwing with no bonus will eat through your resources faster making it worthwhile to learn how to consistently throw Great! Throws The following will result in a 90% catch rate with curveballs and no throw bonus:
