Just select Pokemon then select the game youd like to connect to.

What you should know:

  • Pokemon in your party will not be able to be transferred

How To Get A Sylveon

Last and not least is Sylveon, the Fairy-type Eeveelution. Getting an Eevee to evolve into one is much like evolving into an Espeon or Umbreon, however, Sylveon requires both a Fairy-type move and friendship.

Where To Catch Eevee In Pokmon Sword And Shield

In Pokémon Sword and Shield, you can find Eevee on Route 4. After you exit Galar Mine, youll come across some rolling fields that lead to Turffield. Eevee will appear randomly in the tall grass in this area.

Alternatively, head to the Wild Area and take part in some Max Raid Battles to get your hands on an Eevee. Jumping into battles in Bridge Field, East Lake Axewell, Motostoke Riverbank, or Rolling Fields could land you an Eevee. Defeat the powerful Dynamax Eevee using Fighting-type Pokémon and then throw your best ball to capture it. We find Dusk Balls or Ultra Balls work best on Dynamax Pokémon.

Catching One In The Wild

Thankfully, Eevee, isnt terribly hard to catch in Pokemon Sword & Shield. On your way to Turffield for the first Gym battle, youll go through Route 4, which is a great spot for trying to find an Eevee.

It has a pretty low spawn rate compared to the other Pokemon, so just keep wandering around in the tall grass until it appears. Once it does, just catch it like any other Pokemon: weaken it a little, then throw a Poke Ball.

To recap, heres where to get Eevee in Pokemon Sword & Shield:

  • If you played Lets Go Eevee, talk to the boy NPC at the Meetup Spot to get one for free.
  • You can also catch one in the tall grass along Route 4.
  • Thats all you need to know about where to get Eevee in Pokemon Sword & Shield. Be sure to check out our guide wiki for more tips and information on the game.

How To Transfer Pokmon From 3ds Games With Pokmon Bank

Transferring Pokémon from 3DS games – such as X and Y, Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, Sun and Moon, Ultra Sun and Moon – requires the use of Pokémon Bank on 3DS, as well as access to Pokémon Home on Switch or on a smartphone during the move process.

First, get Pokémon Bank on 3DS. If you’re like us and you haven’t used your 3DS in a while, make sure the system firmware is fully up to date, allowing you to then download it.

If you’re doing this within the free Pokémon Bank window, you’ll receive a notification of the offer within the system menu, which contains a direct link to the Pokémon Bank listing in the eShop. Otherwise, go to the Pokémon area of the eShop to find Pokémon Bank there.

Next, make sure you’ve moved all the Pokémon you want from the supported games through to Pokémon Bank.

To move Pokémon from a 3DS game to Pokémon Bank, select the top-most option on the main menu. From there, this operates much the same as it does moving Pokémon in Home – by scanning the save files found locally, then allowing you to access them by dragging and dropping Pokémon between a box from the save file to Pokémon Bank.

Once your desired Pokémon are in Pokémon Bank, then select ‘Move Pokémon to Pokémon Home’ from the main menu. After the warning about it being a one-way trip, select the Pokémon boxes you want to move across.

Now, you need a Moving Key.

Note – you need a Premium Home subscription to use this, even during the free Bank promotion during Pokémon Home’s launch.

How to Get G-Max Melmetal in Pokemon Sword & Shield & Transfer Pokemon From GO to HOME

If youve caught some of your favourite monsters in Pokémon Go, Pokémon Home is the only way you can transfer them to Pokémon Sword and Shield on your Switch. Pokémon Home has functioned as a go-between for transferring Pokémon between main series games for almost a year now, but it is finally compatible with Pokémon Go, the series biggest mobile game.

Once youve connected the two games and sent some Pokémon from Pokémon Go, Pokémon Home will show theyve arrived immediately. However, this guide will help you every step of the way, because it can get fiddly. Like with transferring Pokémon to the Go Park Complex in Pokémon Lets Go Pikachu and Eevee, the process is a little bit complicated to set up, so take your time with it and follow the steps to ensure everything goes as smoothly as possible.

Well also cover Transporter energy, and how much energy different Pokémon cost to transfer between the two games. There are a few rules depending on what Pokémon youre transferring and how powerful it is, so refer to the table below for a quick breakdown.

    Transferring Without A 3ds

If you have a Pokémon Bank account, you can still make transfers even without a 3DS. You will need to enter your Nintendo Network ID to verify the account, and then you can make transfers.

Remember that these transfers need to be made over the internet, so make sure to have a wireless connection. Its also important to ensure that both devices are charged when the transfer takes place. Stay tuned for more news and guides!

    Where Do I Find It

Early on in Pokemon Sword and Shield, you will eventually have to leave the starting towns and progress towards the next town to battle with the first gym leader in the Galar region.

At the next train station which is located in the Wild Zone area, there are two NPCs a girl and a boy next to the door. Talking to the boy will grant you Eevee if you have played Pokemon Lets Go Eevee at all. Talking to the girl with the blonde hair will grant you Pikachu if you have played Lets Go Pikachu.

There Pokemon are essentially the same Pokemon you play within the Lets Go versions and thus cannot evolve into one of the many Eevee evolutions or Raichu.

Pokemon Go players will have to meet certain criteria to make transfers possible

    • Pokemon Go players can send Pokemon to Pokemon Home
    • They can then be used in Pokemon Sword and Shield on the Switch
    • Go Transporter is used to send Pokemon from Go to Home

Pokemon Go players will now be able to transfer their Pokemon creatures to another game with Pokemon Home connectivity. The feature allows players to send the Pokemon they have collected in the highly popular mobile AR game to the cloud-based service Pokemon Home that connects with other Pokemon games. Essentially, players can send their creatures to Pokemon Home on the Nintendo Switch, from where they can be used in Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield. However, it is a one-way transfer and you won’t be able to get your Pokemon back.

As described on the official Pokemon support page, Pokemon Go and Pokemon Home can be linked together. Players will need the mobile version and the Nintendo Switch version of Pokemon Home, both of which need to be linked to the same Nintendo account, in order to transfer creatures to Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield on the Switch. Also, you will need a paid Nintendo Switch Online membership to transfer Pokemon.

The Go Transporter can store up to 10,000 energy at once and players need to be at level 40 to transfer Pokemon from Pokemon Go to Pokemon Home.

Pokemon Go Is Now Compatible With Pokemon Home But The Restrictions Are Kind Of Ridiculous

Pump the brakes on transferring that Shiny Groudon to Pokemon Sword and Shield.

Opinionby Kat Bailey, Editor in Chief

    11 November 2020

As of today, Pokemon Go is now compatible with Pokemon Home. This is exciting news for Pokemon fans, because it greatly expands the number of monsters that can be transferred from Niantic’s popular mobile game to Pokemon Sword and Shield. It wouldn’t be Pokemon if there weren’t a lot of hoops to jump through, though, and Pokemon Go throws up quite a few barriers to getting your beloved Shiny Groudon over to the Nintendo Switch.

    Niantic

As of right now, if you want to complete a transfer from Pokemon Go to Pokemon Home, you need to fit the following requirements:

    • You have to be Level 40 in Pokemon Go
    • The “Go Transporter” item must have a sufficient amount of energy
    • You must have already caught the Pokemon in Pokemon Sword and Shield, so you can’t use Pokemon Go to fill your Pokedex
    • Mega Evolutions, Shadow Pokemon, and unique costumes can’t be transferred

Those are some pretty onerous restrictions, making it effectively impossible to transfer your entire collection over to Pokemon Sword and Shield in one go. Indeed, as someone currently trapped at Level 32 in Pokemon Go, I’ve yet to be able to access the feature at all. Alas, poor Shiny Dragonite, you appear to be doomed to remain trapped in the purgatory of Alameda, California.
