Alolan Graveler Alolan Golem

As previously mentioned, Golem is a powerful Pokémon, and its Alolan version is even stronger. Alolan Golem is a Rock/Electric-Type Pokémon, and its unique typing makes it one of the strongest creatures in Lets Go. Alolan Golem is a Rock/Electric-type Pokémon, and its unique typing makes it one of the strongest creatures in the Alolan region. Unfortunately, fans cant catch this Pokémon by themselves because it will require an in-game trade to be able to obtain one.

Players will want to attain a normal Geodude from Mt. Moon or some place else and then alternate it for an Alolan Geodude inside of the Vermilion City Pokémon Center. This isnt always too tough of a undertaking for running shoes, and maximum gamers need to be able to finish it as long as they are able to seize a Geodude within the caves of Lets Go. Alolan Golem may be received by trading Alolan Graveler with some other player, after which gamers can have their very personal Electric/Rock-type to defeat all the effective gyms in the Kanto area!

Trading Between Game Generations

Pokémon can be traded between Generation I and Generation II games using the Time Capsule feature. For compatibility purposes, the Pokémon to be traded from the Generation II game must be a species that existed in Generation I and cannot have any moves introduced in Generation II. The Time Capsule exploit can be used to trick the game into trading Generation II Pokémon back to Generation I as well, but they will become glitch Pokémon like MissingNo.. Additionally, the trade evolution learnset oversight can also be used to trade a Pokémon with a Generation II move back to a Generation I game, though it will become a glitch move. This is the only instance in the series in which Pokémon can be sent back to games from a previous generation.

It is not possible to trade between Generation II and Generation III games.

Starting in Generation IV, Pokémon from previous generations can be transferred to newer generations through a variety of methods, though none of them involve trading.

How To Evolve Pokemon In Pokemon Lets Go

Catching pocket monsters isnt the only way to update your Pokedex. Some mon can actually transform into stronger forms through a process called evolution. Heres how to evolve Pokemon in Pokemon Lets Go.

There are over 100 different types of mon to collect in Pokemon Lets Go, with most of them lurking out and about in the wild. However, there are certain creatures that are locked behind evolution, meaning you wont be able to catch them in Kanto.

Evolving mon is a pretty simple process, although there are several ways to do it. Not all mon transform the same way nor do all of them actually evolve. There are some monsters with only one particular form, such as Farfetchd and Chansey. Moreover, most mon can only have two evolutions, with Eevee being the only exception in Pokemon Lets Go.

    Legendary Pokmon Take Flight

To be fair, threeof the four Legendary Pokémon in Pokémon:Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’sGo, Eevee!Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltrescan be encountered before becomingthe Pokémon League Champion. But you need to decide whether you want to attemptto catch them before or after taking on the EliteFour. Unlike most wild Pokémon encounters in these games, you will have tobattle the Legendary Pokémon before attempting to catch them. Holding off onyour attempts gives your Pokémon team time to level up more, potentially makingthe battles easier. On the other hand, if you do manage to catch them beforearriving at the Indigo Plateau, you can bring them into your battles againstthe Elite Four.

Articuno can befound deep within the cave in the Seafoam Islands, which is located on Route 20along the southern edge of the Kanto region. This Ice- and Flying-type Pokémonhas a double weakness to Rock-type moves, but Fire-, Electric-, and Steel-type moveswill prove useful as well.

Zapdos hangs out atthe Power Plant, which can only be reached by using Sea Skim on Route 10 to reach the out-of-the-way facility. As anElectric- and Flying-type Pokémon, Zapdos is weak against Ice- and Rock-typemoves. Ground-type Pokémon won’t take damage from the Legendary Pokémon’sElectric-type moves, but at the same time, remember that Zapdos isn’t affectedby Ground-type moves.

How Trade Evolution Works In Pokmon Go

    Pokemon GO

Trade evolution! You love to see it. This feature has been part of the mainline Pokémon games for years, but its only now just coming to Pokémon GO. Basically, youve got to remember that the original purpose of the Pokémon games was to find a good use case for the Game Boy link cable, and to that end the franchise has always encouraged trading in any way it can. Thats why certain Pokémon only evolve when theyre traded between two trainers, ensuring that catching them all requires either two people or one person with two Game Boys. But that was then and this is now, so lets talk about Trade evolution in Pokémon GO.

Trading does not seem to be required for evolving any Pokémon in these games, as per the Pokémon Blog. So if you want to do it the traditional way, by saving up 100 candies, you can still do that. What trade evolution does, instead, is negate the candy cost for evolving a certain Pokémon if you receive that Pokémon in a trade. So if you receive a Machoke in a trade, you can evolve it to a Machamp for free.

Here are the Pokemon that currently benefit from trade evolution:

    • Kadabra
    • Karrablast
    • Shelmet

Luckily, the old methods still work, so the anti-social can still benefit. And the tradeable Pokémon only require 25 candies to get to where they need to be, so random people at raids might still be willing to help you out.

What Pokmon Benefit From Trade Evolution

HOW TO Evolve Kadabra, Haunter, Machoke & (Alolan) Graveler in Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu & Eevee

There are currently eight species of Pokémon who benefit from Trade Evolution. Four are from Gen I, while the other four are new Pokémon from Gen V.

    • Kadabra
    • Karrablast
    • Shelmet

While Trading is necessary to Evolve some other species of Pokémon in the core games, such as Dusclops, most require holding an Item while being Traded. There are only two more Pokémon who Evolve by the mere act of being Traded , and they’re both from Gen VI, which hasn’t been introduced to Pokémon Go yet, so it is unlikely that more Pokémon will be added to this list before Gen VI is introduced.

    Pokmon That Cannot Be Traded

As of Generation VI, Pokémon with certain Gift Ribbons cannot be traded over the GTS or through Wonder Trade.

Additionally, some Pokémon’s alternate forms cannot be traded. Specifically, the Spiky-eared Pichu, Black and White Kyurem, the Cosplay Pikachu, Dawn Wings and Dusk Mane Necrozma, and Ice Rider and Shadow Rider Calyrex are all unable to be traded.

    How To Trade With Friends

If you want to transform one of those mons through trade evolution, heres how you set up trading:

    • Press X to open up the menu
    • Select the Communications option next to Save
    • Choose either the local wireless or internet option depending on how you plan on trading
    • Pick the Link Trade option

Make sure that you and your friend have a link code prepared because thats how youll get matched. The link code is just three icons of mons, so once youve set that up, you can begin the trading process right away in Pokemon Lets Go.

That pretty much wraps up all of the trade evolutions in Pokemon Lets Go. For more tips and tricks on the game, make sure to take a look at our handy wiki. Weve got tons of other guides to help you become the best like no one ever was.

    Take On The Master Trainers

Once you’ve enteredthe Hall of Fame, you will start to notice new Trainers throughout the Kantoregion. These are Master Trainers, dedicated Trainers that have devoted theirlives to training a particular species of Pokémon. Master Trainers can be foundanywhere, so you’ll want to retrace your steps through every route, tunnel, andbuilding to find them all.

Most MasterTrainers will challenge you to a one-on-one battle. The rest want you toimpress them with your training skills by showing them their favorite Pokémonwith an exceptionally high CP. You’ll want to raise these Pokémon to Lv. 100and feed them ample Candy to get their stats high enough to win these MasterTrainers’ favor.

If you do go up againstMaster Trainers, the fight can be very difficult. The catch is that you canonly use their Pokémon of choice during the battle, and no items! Most of theirPokémon will be between Lv. 65 and Lv. 80, so make sure your Pokémon are atleast comparable. If you need to build up your team, head to Cerulean Cave andbuild up a large Catch Combo by catching multiple Chansey. It provides a ton ofExp. Points when caught, so it’s a great way to level up your Pokémon. Be sureto boost your Pokémon’s stats by feeding them Candy, as wellyour opponentshave done the same.

Pokmon Go Trade Evolution List And How Trade Evolutions Work

    Pokemon: Lets Go, Eevee!

Before we get into the specifics of trading itself, let’s start with 2020’s big new feature – trade evolutions.

In the mainline Pokémon games, there’s a set of Pokémon that can only be evolved if they’re traded with another player. When Pokémon Go was released, these Pokémon were all evolved through candy, due to the lack of trading.

Now, however, trade evolution has been incorporated into Pokémon Go, offering a different evolution method for a specific group of Pokémon. These Pokémon are:

    • Kadabra
    • Karrablast
    • Shelmet

Once you’ve traded one of the above Pokémon, the candy cost for evolving them into their third and final evolution will be reduced to zero. This will allow you to quickly add this new Pokémon to your Pokédex, while also gaining a powerful new team member.

If you don’t have any fellow trainers to trade with, however, you’ll still be able to evolve these Pokémon with the candy.

It costs 100 candy to evolve Kadabra, Machoke, Graveler and Haunter from Gen 1.

It costs 200 candy to evolve Boldore, Gurrdurr, Karrablast and Shelmet from Gen 5.

It’s also important to note that Pokémon that evolve using a combination of items and candy in Pokémon Go don’t receive the trade evolution discount. Even though, in the mainline games, a requirement of their evolution is being traded with another player.

    What Is Trade Evolution

In the core games, several species of Pokémon require Trading to evolve at all. You could work a Kadabra all the way to level 99, and it would still never Evolve, but the moment you Traded it, it would Evolve into an Alakazam. Pokémon Go has featured some of the species which Evolve by Trading since day one, long before Trading was even allowed in the game. These Pokémon could be Evolved in the same manner as any other Pokémon in Go: lots of Candies.

Now that Pokémon Go has introduced Trade Evolution, these Pokémon can still be evolved with Candies, but if you Trade them first, they can be evolved for free. That means a whole lot more Candies you can use to power up these Pokémon. Even better, Trade Evolution is retroactive, so any Pokémon eligible for Trade Evolution that you Traded for in the past can now be Evolved for free.

How Much Does Evolve Trading Cost

While all of these Pokemon can be evolved through the regular means of using your Pokemons Candy, trading the above mon with a fellow player takes away some of that need.

When you trade a Pokemon to evolve it, the evolution Candy cost is reduced to zero. Weve listed the cost of evolving each of these mon through Candies below, and you can see that the method takes out a lot of work:

    • Haunter, Graveler, Kadabra, and Machoke: 100 Candy to evolve.
    • Boldore, Gurrdurr, Karrablast, and Shelmet: 200 Candy

Once youve found another player to connect with and trade, youve saved a lot of Candy and a lot of time trying to get that specific Pokemon evolution you want.

So, there you have it. Everything you need to know about all the Pokemon that evolve by trading in Pokemon Go!

How To Evolve Pokemon By Trading

In mainline Pokemon games, a handful of monsters can only be evolved by trading them to another player, but in Pokemon Go, these creatures could be evolved the same way as most other Pokemon: by feeding them a set amount of Candy. Now, however, there’s an alternate method of evolving them: if you receive an eligible Pokemon through a trade, its Candy requirement will be completely removed, essentially allowing you to evolve it for free.

    • Karrablast -> Escavalier
    • Shelmet -> Accelgor

In the main series, a handful of other Pokemon–such as Scyther and Onix–also evolve by trading if they’re holding certain items, but their evolution method in Pokemon Go has not been changed, so you cannot trade for a Scyther and then evolve it into Scizor without spending any Candy only the Pokemon listed above will have their Candy requirement removed if obtained through a trade.

Boldore, Gurdurr, Karrablast, and Shelmet are among the newest Gen 5 Pokemon to arrive in the game. However, a handful of other Gen 5 Pokemon can only evolve using a new item called the Unova Stone. You can read more about how to obtain one of those and which Pokemon it works on in our Unova Stone guide.
