What Beats Flying Type Pokemon

Pokemon, as we all know, is all about training your pocket monsters to be the very best, like no one ever was. You need to catch, train, battle, and evolve them in order to prove your mastery in the world. Now, with Sun and Moons release, things are no different! You will still have specific types to fight with, and they each have their own strengths and weaknesses. Lets talk about Flying Pokemon!

Flying is incredibly strong against these types in particular:

• Grass
• Fighting
• Bug

Annihilate a Caterpie or a Machop with some flying attack and you will have your battle all wrapped up with those super effective moves. These trusty bird-type Pokemon arent just good for getting around! Heres a list of some notable attacks you can do:

Flying On The Defensive

Here is where the Flying-type really shines. The Flying-type gets some excellent resistances, including ones to Grass, Bug, Fighting, and that delicious immunity to Ground-type attacks. Skarmory takes full advantage of its Steel / Flying typing to gain the upper hand on Pokemon like Scizor, Flygon, and other Physical Pokemon who fail to land super effective hit on it. It can then take the time to lay down a layer of Spikes, which is incredibly beneficial to both stall and balance teams alike. Gliscor uses its unique typing to maintain both the Fighting resistance and keep a neutrality to Rock-type attacks that generally accompany Fighting-type attacks. Lastly, Zapdos makes an incredible check to many top offensive threats, not so much due to its ability to repeatedly take hits from these Pokemon, but due to its ability to take a single hit and OHKO with its powerful special attacks in return. The real pièce de résistance of using a defensive Flying-type Pokemon is their access to the move Roost. This 50% recovery move not only heals the user, but also gets rid of some of the nastier weaknesses associated with the Flying-type. With this move in their arsenal, defensive Flying-type Pokemon can be expected to stick around for a long while in a battle.

Normal-type Pokémon have one weakness and immunity and resist no types of Pokémon.

Resistances

• No resistances, just regularly affected by the elements, magic, mythical creatures, and man-made substances.

Immunity

• Ghost: Perhaps ghosts take pity on the average, or they’re envious and wish to leave them alone.

Best Garchomp Counters In Pokemon Go

Garchomp is a Dragon and Ground-type Pokemon, which means itll be weak against Dragon, Fairy and Ice-type Pokemon. We wouldnt recommend using a Dragon-type, though, because your dragon of choice will also be weak against Garchomps Dragon-type moves.

With that in mind, wed recommend a powerful Fairy or Ice-type Pokemon how about Glaceon as your Ice option or Gardevoir as your Fairy option? Either of those would do the trick nicely. Gardevoir would be handy if Nidoking gets sent out, too.

Logical Reasons For Ghost

Ghost-type Pokémon have two weaknesses, resistances, and immunities.

Weaknesses

• Ghost: In their former life, the ghost was afraid of ghosts.
• Dark: In their former life, the ghost was afraid of the dark.

In Pokemon Go, Every type of Pokemon has four different relationships with other types any trainer should be aware of. That is:

• Strong Against: represented on our type chart as Strong Vs, attacks from the listed type against the type listed here will deal additional damage to your opponent. This is ‘Super Effective’.
• Weak Against: represented here as Weak Vs, attacks from the listed type against these types will do less damage to the enemy. This is ‘Not very effective…’
• Resistance: listed as resist, taking attacks from this type will do much less damage to you.
• Vulnerable: your type’s weaknesses. Attacks of these types will deal more damage – watch out!

So, for instance, Offensively a Ground-type Pokemon/move is Strong against Poison, Rock, Steel, Fire and Electric types, dealing double damage to them. Zapdos is more commonly used as a defensive Pokemon, but it poses a real offensive threat due to its unique typing and base 125 Special Attack, base 100 Speed, and exceptional type coverage. These Flying-type sweepers are the sole reason why people arent throwing around more choiced Ground and Fighting-type attacks.

• Types bolded in square brackets are subject to a further cut in effectiveness in the mainline games these are outright immunities
• If a type is not listed, damage is neutral
• The strength of an attack is increased if the attack type is strong against both types of a dual type Pokémon
• Type resistance and vulnerability effectively cancel each other out on dual type Pokémon

Note that attack and defence type relationships are not identical e.g. types may be resistant to types when defending that they are not super effective against when attacking.

Top Pokmon To Counter Mega Manectric

Best Persian Counters In Pokemon Go

Being a Normal-type Pokemon, Persian is very weak against Fighting-type attacks. Any Fighting-type move that you dish out should do 160 per cent extra damage. With this in mind, something like Machamp or Lucario would be a strong counterattack choice! Lucarios Power-Up Punch or Machamps Cross Chop would both be solid attacks to use against Persian.

One thing you will not want to use is a Ghost-type Pokemon. Persian has a resistance to these ghoulish creatures, with their attacks doing 39 per cent less damage to Persian. So dont use any of those!
