HOW TO EVOLVE EEVEE INTO VAPOREON IN POKEMON BRILLIANT DIAMOND AND SHINING PEARL

Whether you picked up Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu or Pokémon Let’s Go Eevee, you can add your very own Eevee to your Pokédex and you can evolve it into one of the three elemental types water, fire, or thunder. Once evolved, Eevee will become either Flareon, Jolteon, or Vaporeon. Here’s how to evolve it in Pokémon Let’s Go!

How To Catch Eevee

You can catch an Eevee on Route 4 in Pokemon Sword and Shield. It’s very rare, but sometimes you’ll see it in the overworld! Be aware, the Gigantamax gift Eevee you get for having Let’s Go Eevee saved data will not evolve!

If you want a Hidden Ability Eevee, you will have to catch one during a rare Max Raid Battle. Look for a purple beam with clouds around it at a den in Bridge Field of the Wild Area.

Is There Anything Else To Be Aware Of

While the naming tricks are the easiest way by far to get a specific evolved form of Eevee, there are other ways as there need to be, given that name tricks only work once each.

How To Choose Your Eevee Evolution

Here are the Eevee evolutions that are available and the codename that you will need to choose who they turn into:

  • Vaporeon – Rainer

Here’s all you have to do:

  • Open up your Pokemon collection and find an Eevee that’s spare.
  • Change the name from Eevee to the codename – so that’s Linnea or Tamao for example – by tapping the pencil next to that character’s name.
  • You’ll see that the Evolve button changes to the silhouette of that Pokemon.
  • Hit the evolve button and your Eevee will change into the evolution of you choice.
  • If you don’t change the name, the Eevee will evolve into any of the forms that are available in Pokemon Go: Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Umbreon, Espeon, Leafeon or Glaceon.

But what are these names you have to change? They are the names of the Pokemon owners, dug out from Pokelore. So, for example, Espeon was Sakura’s, and one of her older sisters is Tamao, who owned Umbreon.

The original Eevee evolutions – Sparky, Rainer and Pyro – that you’ll need to control evolution to Jolteon, Vaporeon and Flareon respectively, again come from the Eevee brothers in Pokemon anime.

Why Won’t The Eevee Name Trick Work

If the name change didn’t stick, change it again and restart again. Further to this, if you already evolved a Eevee into a Vaporeon by using the Rainer name, it will not work again, and the Eevee will just change into a random evolution, like Jolteon or Flareon. This goes for all the Eeveelutions as well.

How To Play With And Feed Your Buddy In Pokmon Go

Let’s start with the basics. To play with your Buddy in Pokémon Go, make sure you’re first Trainer Level 2 and have a Buddy assigned, then tap the Buddy icon in the lower left corner of the screen, next to your Trainer Profile.

Next, press the Play! button. Your phone camera will then activate. If you are in AR mode, you must find a flat surface. Point towards it until yellow footprints appear, then tap.

If it then says you are too close to your Buddy, back away a step or two, and it should appear.

If you’re struggling, remember you can disable AR mode in the Settings, so the Pokémon will simply appear on the screen.

With the Pokémon visible, you can play by rubbing it. You can also feed it by tapping the Berry icon.

Unlike during the catch phase where berries are simply tapped, on the Buddy screen they must be thrown like a Poké Ball to your Buddy’s mouth. You don’t lose your Berry if you miss however, so keep trying!

Once they are fully fed, they will join you on an Adventure, where they can start earning Hearts for that day…

HOW TO Evolve Eevee into Vaporeon in Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon

Player with a few shiny Eevee to spare should definitely set a few aside to evolve into the Gen 4 Evolutions. It hasn’t been confirmed yet, but it seems highly likely that the Gen 4 evolutions will also have the one-time use name change trick. Wait until after they are added to the game and the community has determined whether the name change trick works or not.

Pokemon Go: Evolving Into Espeon Via Travel Distance Or The Nickname Trick

Pokemon GO players, especially those hoping to get an Espeon with the move Psyshock, should certainly utilize the current Community Day festivities centered around Eevee and its evolutions.

For those looking for a quick and easy way to evolve Eevee into Espeon, there is the well-known nickname trick, which can be used to evolve Eevee into any of its available evolutions simply by providing enough candies and without any additional requirements.

This trick can only be used once per account for each of Eevees evolutionary forms, so Pokemon GO players should make sure the Eevee theyre evolving is worth it.

The silhouette of the Pokemon on the button should resemble an Espeon, with large ears and a forked tail. With the nickname trick active, all it will take to evolve Eevee into Espeon is 25 candies.

Under normal circumstances without the nicknaming trick, there is a little extra work to be done to ensure Eevee evolves into Espeon.

Namely, players will need to set their Eevee as a Buddy Pokemon and travel 10 kilometers with it. Once players have traveled a total of 10km with their Eevee as a buddy, all they need to do is evolve it during the daytime while it is still a buddy, similar to its requirement in the Generation II Pokemon games.

Meeting these circumstances should evolve Eevee into Espeon and not one of its randomized options.

This is another exceptional opportunity to evolve an Espeon without having to traverse the 10 kilometer distance required.

    Pokmon Go Eevee Evolutions Ranked

    • 17

As Eevee is the star of the , its time to plan what evolutions you want for your killer collection. But all Eevee evolutions are not created equal.

Each of Eevees eight evolutions has different stats and weaknesses. Knowing these will help you choose what to keep from your mega Community Day haul.

All eight ‘Eeveelutions’ are now available in Pokémon GO: Sylveon, Umbreon, Espeon, Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Leafeon and Glaceon.

In the “classic” Pokémon games, this particular monster is able to evolve into different types depending on what special items you have, its happiness level, the moves it has unlocked and the time of day. Thankfully you don’t have to jump through those kinds of hoops in Pokémon GO.

Instead, you can simply rename your Eevee to one of eight different names to guarantee a particular evolution, or employ some other tricks to get your desired Eevee evolution. There are a few caveats, but these methods definitely work.

How Should You Use The New Appraisal Feature

The new Appraisal feature is a great way to quickly discover how powerful your new Pokemon are. Finding out that an old favourite has a three star rating is incredibly gratifying.

It’s especially useful for when you’re comparing a bunch of the same Pokémon, as you can keep the stat appraisal screen open as you move between Pokémon. This allows you to quickly compare stats and star rankings as you try to decide which Pokémon to keep and which ones to release.

You can even search for Pokémon by their specific star tier, just like how you can search for them by name. To do this, you’ll need to search:

    • 0* = 0 Stars
    • 3* = 3 Stars
    • 4* = 3 Stars with a red background / 100% Pokémon

The new ranking system makes it a lot easier to decide which Pokémon are worth investing your Stardust and Candy in. Though it’s still important to remember a Pokémon’s rarity and whether it’s one of the best Pokémon in the game.

Though by and large the closer to 100% this is the better, depending on the Pokémon, some individual stats are more important than others – so it isn’t the be all and end all.

For example, if you have a Snorlax – one of the best creatures to put in a gym with its high health – with a low HP stat, that makes it a less attractive proposition. But then again, because it’s rare, you might not have any alternative Snorlax to rely on. Of course, an average Snorlax will still perform better than others in its field, so it could still be worth Powering up.

Is It Better To Evolve Eevee Early Or Later

If you evolve Eevee fast, theyll learn better moves quicker. For example, if Jolteon learns a specific electric move at level 30 and you evolve Eevee at level 35, theyve missed it. If you plan to load your Eeveelution up with moves specific to their type, then it might be a good idea to evolve as quick as you can.

Go Beyond Level 40 With Eeveelutions

With the recently announced increase in the level cap, reaching the top levels in Pokémon Go now requires completing Special Level-Up Research. For level 42, Trainers need to evolve one of each of Eevee’s unique evolutions. This task isn’t retroactive either, so you will need to evolve all seven again, even if you have them already. Fortunately, most veteran trainers have tons of Eevee Candy, so even the random chance of Vaporeon, Flareon, and Jolteon shouldn’t been too hard on your existing stash of candies.

    How To Evolve Eevee

Pokemon Go How To Evolve Eevee into a Vaporeon Jolteon or Flareon

In 2020, there are more evolutions available but unfortunately, we dont have Sylveon just yet.

Fortunately, there is a workaround to evolving Eevee. All you need to do is change the nickname to get the evolution that you want.

As discovered by people on Reddit, renaming your Eevee Rainer, Sparky or Pyro before its evolved will give you the corresponding evolution. For example, if youre after a Flareon, you should rename your Eevee Pyro, save and restart your game and then evolve it.

This hack is also true of the Pokemon Go Gen 2 update for Espeon and Umbreon. If you have 25 Eevee candies saved up, you need to do the following to incorporate the two new evolutions to your collection: use the name Sakura on your Eevee to evolve it into Espeon, and use the name Tamao to evolve your Eevee into Umbreon.

Its a similar story to Pyro, Sparky and Rainer the names Sakura and Tamao are references to the original anime series Pokemon. Sakura and Tamao feature as two of the five Kimono sisters.

Its not the first time Pokémon Go has included a nod to the original series. If you want to get Pikachu as a starter Pokémon, you have to loosely follow the plot of the first episode of the cartoon Pokémon, I Choose You!.

The corresponding nicknames for the most currently available evolutions are as follows:

    • Vaporeon Rainer
    • Glaceon Rea

How To Evolve Eevee Into Vaporeon Pokemon Sun And Moon

Eevee is perhaps one of the series most popular Pokemon thanks to its ability to evolve into a plethora of different forms. One of these is the powerful Water-type Pokemon known as Vaporeon who can learn moves such as Hydro Pump, Blizzard, and Last Resort. However, there are a few steps you will need to go through in order to nab this critter.

First, you will need to capture an Eevee which can be done early on on the second island you visit in Pokemon Sun & Moon. They are located either late in Route 4 or can be found in patches of grass along Route 6. You can also either trade for one via the Festival Plaza, which is this titles online platform for players. Once you have this, youll need to progress further in the story until you reach Konikoni City, which will have the Asian inspired district. From here, head to Olivias Jewelry Shop and purchase a Water Stone along with any other stones you might need for your other Pokemon.

After this simply use your Water Stone on your Eevee via the options menu on the 3DS bottom screen. You will not need to raise its happiness or to wait for a specific time of the day. Eevee can be evolved instantly with a Water Stone, but consider waiting on evolving your Eevee as you can miss out on some pretty cool moves such as Baton Pass or Trump Card.
