How To Catch Eevee
You can catch an Eevee on Route 4 in Pokemon Sword and Shield. It’s very rare, but sometimes you’ll see it in the overworld! Be aware, the Gigantamax gift Eevee you get for having Let’s Go Eevee saved data will not evolve!
If you want a Hidden Ability Eevee, you will have to catch one during a rare Max Raid Battle. Look for a purple beam with clouds around it at a den in Bridge Field of the Wild Area.

Daily Pokemon In The Trophy Garden
Eevee can be found as a special Daily Pokemon in the Trophy Garden in the Pokemon Mansion on Route 212 after obtaining the National Pokedex.
The Daily Pokemon which appears in the garden is selected randomly from an available set, so talk to Mr. Backlot in the east room of the mansion to confirm which Pokemon will be available to catch that day.
How To Evolve Eevee Into Vaporeon
Vaporeon is a Water-type Eevee evolution, and is one of the original three Eeveelutions.
To evolve Eevee into Vaporeon, simply give it a Water Stone.
You can find Water Stones by the circle of rocks on the hill in the Lake of Outrage region of the Wild Area, and can also receive them as rewards from the Digging Duo in the Wild Area.

How To Choose Your Eevee Evolution
Here are the Eevee evolutions that are available and the codename that you will need to choose who they turn into:
- Vaporeon – Rainer
Here’s all you have to do:
If you don’t change the name, the Eevee will evolve into any of the forms that are available in Pokemon Go: Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Umbreon, Espeon, Leafeon or Glaceon.
But what are these names you have to change? They are the names of the Pokemon owners, dug out from Pokelore. So, for example, Espeon was Sakura’s, and one of her older sisters is Tamao, who owned Umbreon.
The original Eevee evolutions – Sparky, Rainer and Pyro – that you’ll need to control evolution to Jolteon, Vaporeon and Flareon respectively, again come from the Eevee brothers in Pokemon anime.
Why Won’t The Eevee Name Trick Work
If the name change didn’t stick, change it again and restart again. Further to this, if you already evolved a Eevee into a Vaporeon by using the Rainer name, it will not work again, and the Eevee will just change into a random evolution, like Jolteon or Flareon. How To Play With And Feed Your Buddy In Pokmon Go
Let’s start with the basics. To play with your Buddy in Pokémon Go, make sure you’re first Trainer Level 2 and have a Buddy assigned, then tap the Buddy icon in the lower left corner of the screen, next to your Trainer Profile.
Next, press the Play! button. Your phone camera will then activate. If you are in AR mode, you must find a flat surface. Point towards it until yellow footprints appear, then tap.
If it then says you are too close to your Buddy, back away a step or two, and it should appear.

Is It Better To Evolve Eevee Early Or Later
If you evolve Eevee fast, theyll learn better moves quicker. For example, if Jolteon learns a specific electric move at level 30 and you evolve Eevee at level 35, theyve missed it. If you plan to load your Eeveelution up with moves specific to their type, then it might be a good idea to evolve as quick as you can.

Go Beyond Level 40 With Eeveelutions
With the recently announced increase in the level cap, reaching the top levels in Pokémon Go now requires completing Special Level-Up Research. For level 42, Trainers need to evolve one of each of Eevee’s unique evolutions. This task isn’t retroactive either, so you will need to evolve all seven again, even if you have them already. In 2020, there are more evolutions available but unfortunately, we dont have Sylveon just yet.
Fortunately, there is a workaround to evolving Eevee. All you need to do is change the nickname to get the evolution that you want.
As discovered by people on Reddit, renaming your Eevee Rainer, Sparky or Pyro before its evolved will give you the corresponding evolution. For example, if youre after a Flareon, you should rename your Eevee Pyro, save and restart your game and then evolve it.
This hack is also true of the Pokemon Go Gen 2 update for Espeon and Umbreon. If you have 25 Eevee candies saved up, you need to do the following to incorporate the two new evolutions to your collection: use the name Sakura on your Eevee to evolve it into Espeon, and use the name Tamao to evolve your Eevee into Umbreon.
Its a similar story to Pyro, Sparky and Rainer the names Sakura and Tamao are references to the original anime series Pokemon. Sakura and Tamao feature as two of the five Kimono sisters.
