How To Catch And Evolve Galarian Slowpoke In Pokemon Go
Pokemon Go Galarian Slowpoke will be appearing in Raids with the start of the Ultra Unlock Part 3 event as well as hatching from 7km Eggs. What makes Galarian Slowpoke different from its Kanto counterpart is the way it evolves.
Normal Slowpoke evolves into Slowbro by feeding it 50 Slowpoke candy. However, to get Galarian Slowbro, trainers will need to make the Slowpoke its Buddy. While Galarian Slowpoke is a buddy, trainers must catch 30 Poison-type Pokemon and then feed it 50 Slowpoke candy.
Luckily for trainers, Poison types are common in the overworld with Gulpin, Zubat and Tentacool usually plentiful. Ghastly are also part Poison-type so trainers can catch a few to help get to the 30 catch threshold.

As is typical in any Pokemon title, including Go, precisely how strong a Pokemon is and what moves it uses may vary depending on the individual, but there are a few things that remain consistent across all of any given species of Pokemon.
The easiest of these to exploit is often Type.
Galarian Farfetchd, unlike its Normal/Flying dual-type Kanto based cousin, is a pure Fighting-type. The wild duck that chose violence. Fighting-Types are a fairly well-balanced type, they have a strength or two and a weakness or two to match, giving us a nice set of options to work with to defeat them.

Fairy-Types will perform pretty solidly here, with a resistance to both Bug-Types and Fighting-Type attacks and no relevant weakness to note. Psychic-Types do get an advantage against those Fighting attacks but fall down against Fury-Cutter, and as Farfetchd has only two Fast Attacks, 1/2 of all matchups will be against Fury Cutter.
Flying-Type is the overall winner for this one though, resisting all of Farfetchd attacks except for Brave Bird, which deals standard unmodified damage at a rate of 100%.
