Okay How Do You Hatch A Pokmon Egg
You hatch your Pokémon Eggs by placing them in Incubators and then walking around until you reach the number of kilometers indicated by the Egg.
Everyone gets one free “Infinite” Incubator that lets you incubate a single Pokémon Go at a time. Pokémon Go will also give you free three-use Incubators when you reach level 6, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30, and four free when you reach level 40. To use them:
You can also buy additional three-use Incubators, as well as three-use Super Incubators from the Shop. They cost 150 PokéCoins and break after three uses.
You can also buy them from the Store screen if you’re not already on the Egg screen. And you can buy as many as you like simply by tapping the Exchange For button repeatedly.
There are also Super Incubators available for 200 PokéCoins in the PokéShop with a 1.5x hatch rate, so your eggs will hatch 50% faster. Like the regular Incubator, it comes with three charges.
How To Hatch An Egg In Pokmon Go
To hatch an egg, simply tap the Pokéball, tap on the ‘Eggs’ column, select an egg, then hit ‘Incubate’ and select an incubator. Alternatively, you can select an incubator using the icon on the bottom right of the eggs column, then select an egg.
All players receive a single infinite use incubator, but if you want to hatch a lot of eggs at once you can acquire additional limited use incubators from the shop or as a reward for completing special research quests such as that for Mew and Celebi.
Once an egg’s sitting in an incubator, simply walk the specified distance to hatch the egg.
- If you enable Adventure Sync you don’t even have to have the app open while you walk
- Note that during certain events, Pokémon GO developer Niantic may halve hatching distances – this stacks with the super incubator .
What Kind Of Pokmon Eggs Are There In Pokmon Go
Each type of Pokémon Egg can hatch different kinds of Pokémon and the potential Pokémon change periodically, along with the rates at which they hatch. The Pokémon in an Egg is determined when it is picked up, as well as where it is picked up. If you picked up an Egg a few weeks ago and new Pokémon are added to the pool this week, your Egg won’t have something new in it. Likewise, if you pick up an Egg in the US, it cannot have a Mime Jr. in it since Mime Jr. is exclusive to the UK.
There are seven kinds of Pokémon Eggs in Pokémon Go:
- 2 KM Eggs with green spots.
- 5 KM Eggs with yellow spots.
- 5 KM Eggs* with purple spots.
- 7 KM Friend Eggs that are yellow with pink spots
- 10 KM Eggs with purple spots.
- 10 KM Eggs* with purple spots.
12 KM Strange Eggs with red spots
Note: Weekly Fitness Reward Eggs are visually identical to the standard 5 KM and 10 KM Eggs received from Pokéstops but have a much smaller pool of potential Pokémon.

Pokemon Go Egg Hatching: Getting Eggs Hatching Eggs And Speeding Up Hatching
As we mention above, Pokemon Eggs can be obtained in Pokemon Go through Pokestops, gifts from friends, defeating Leaders in battle, and adventure sync. The egg types are as followed, named after how far you must travel to hatch them: 2km, 5km, 7km, 10km, 11km, and 12km.
Most Pokemon Eggs are obtained through simply going to Pokestops and swiping them, as with other items. Some eggs are different, however. 7km eggs can only be obtained from gift packages sent by friends. Both 5km and 10km eggs can drop through Adventure Sync – but Adventure Sync eggs have a different hatch pool than the standard versions of these same eggs. The 12km ‘Strange Egg’ is a random drop from defeating a Team Go Rocket leader in battle, so long as you have enough space in your egg inventory.
You can only carry 9 Pokemon eggs at once – if you have 9 and find one at a Pokestop, you’ll be forced to leave it behind. None will drop from gifts at all if your egg inventory is full. You’ve been warned.
Once you’ve walked the distance indicated by the egg name, a Pokemon will emerge. As you’d expect, rarer Pokemon come out of longer-distance eggs. Keep in mind if you’re cycling or riding as a passenger in a car that Pokemon Go only seems to track the distance traveled towards your egg hatching if you’re traveling at slower speeds – around 10mph or less.
Do You Have To Have Pokmon Go Open While You’re Traveling
Not anymore! With the implementation of Adventure Sync, you can now hatch eggs just by having your phone on your person and turned on, without Pokemon Go running. Go into the Settings menu and make sure Adventure Sync is turned on, and your game will track distance and prompt you to hatch eggs when you open the app next.

Players Disagree On Whether 10k Eggs Are Tied To Levels
At first, Pokemon GO players theorized that 10k eggs might be attached to your level. But it seems less likely that this is the case. On Reddit, accounts of whos been getting eggs are conflicting: some have been getting them since before Level 10, some got 10k eggs from the moment they started collecting eggs, while another player reached Level 23 without getting a single 10k egg.
Then, there was the sad Pokemon GO trainer who posted on Reddit that they were level 26, had visited 1,164 Pokestops, and had never gotten a single 10k egg. Meanwhile, a Level 17 player said in the same thread that theyd gotten eight to ten 10k eggs so far. Some people might just be really unlucky.
How To Hatch Pokemon Go Eggs
You can only carry 9 Pokemon eggs at once, so get to incubating. You only have one permanent reusable incubator, meaning you can only hatch one egg at a time. Through the Pokemon Go shop, you can purchase Incubators with three charges for 160 coins, or Super Incubators, also with three charges, that hatch eggs 1.5x faster for 200 coins. There are usually bundles in the shop, especially around Community Days, that offer good deals on incubators in bulk.
In addition to Super Incubators, you can speed up hatching eggs through special events. For example, over the December 2018 Holiday event, eggs hatched faster than usual. Keep an eye out for seasonal events and Community Days with egg bonuses, only placing eggs in incubators when the event is active as the distance bonus will not be applied retroactively.
Walking with Pokemon Go open isnt the only way to progress towards hatching eggs. Riding as a passenger in a car, at extremely slow speeds, will also count progress towards eggs. Through Apple Health and the Pokemon Go Plus, you dont even need the app open to track distancethe programs will sync for you! This is great if you have battery concerns.

Players can use their Bonus Egg Storage to hatch more Pokemon in Pokemon Go. This guide will show players how they can use this new Bonus Egg Storage. Pokemon Go is currently hosting its most involved Team Rocket event yet. Grunts, Leaders, and Jessie and James are all active in the game to challenge, defeat, and liberate their Shadow Pokemon. One of the new Special Research tasks requires players to bring down Team Rocket in every possible way. While this event is happening, the game also introduced a quality-of-life improvement to help make the game a bit easier on players. Here’s how players can use their Bonus Egg Storage in Pokemon Go.
Originally, players were able to hold 9 eggs at a time. Once one of the eggs hatches, players will be able to collect other eggs from PokeStops or from gifts from friends. Here’s how players can use the Bonus Egg Storage.
Pokemon Go Players Disagree On 10k Eggs Being Tied To Level
First, there was a theory that 10K eggs might be tied to levels, but this seems highly unlikely. Many users on Reddit have conflicting claims: some users reported of getting the 10K egg past 10 levels while some reported of getting the same from the moment they started collecting eggs. There have also been players who didnt get a single 10K egg until 23rd level. All in all the level concept doesnt stand conclusive.

Can You See How Far You’ve Traveled With A Pokmon Go Egg
Yup! As you walk, the Pokémon Egg screen will update to show you the distance you’ve walked each Egg up to one decimal place. For example, if you walk 1.3 KM, you’ll see 1.3 / 2 KM, 1.3 / 5 KM, or 1.3 / 10 KM.
If you tap on a Pokémon Egg, you can see the distance up to two decimal places.
The distance is updated every few minutes so, don’t worry if you walk for a bit and don’t see any immediate changes.

Where Do You See Pokmon Eggs When You Get Them
Pokémon Eggs are hidden away, but once you know where they are, you can check on which ones you have, and how many, at any time.
You can have up to 9 Pokémon Eggs at any one time, so make sure you have space for Eggs before attempting to get another. There is an exception, however, for Weekly Fitness Eggs and Strange Eggs. You may hold three additional Eggs if your nine spots are filled when you earn a Weekly Fitness Egg or a Strange Egg.
What’s The Rule For Pokemon Go Weekly Distance Rewards
Every week , Pokemon Go looks at your fitness app to figure out the total distance you have walked. Based on that, you will get a weekly reward or walking rewards.
Rewards fall into the following three categories:
- Pokemon Go 5km : You get 20 poke balls
- Pokemon Go 25km : You get 20 poke balls, 5km Egg or one rare candy, ten great balls, or 500 stardust.
- Pokemon Go 50 km : 20 poke balls, 5km egg or 10km egg, ten great balls, and either 1500 stardust, three rare candy.
- Pokemon Go 100km : 20 poke balls, 5km egg or 10km egg, ten great balls, and either 16,000 stardust, three rare candy.
Don’t expect addition and more significant rewards for walking more than 100km, at least, as of now. Many game users think that a 5km egg is not a useful reward for covering a 25km distance.
To combat this, you should close all Egg Spots to get a reward of either one Rare Candy or the 500 Stardust.
When it comes to gifts, ensure that you have an open Egg Spot so that you can receive one. Moreover, the egg pool offers different from the main pool. It may focus on smaller or rarer Pokemon groups.
As it keeps changing, it can become challenging to track even your standard egg chart. You should keep a journal to keep track of your Pokemon Go 50 km rewards.

Add Pokmon To Your Pokdex
You should also consider that the GPS on Pokémon GO does not work if the player is moving too fast, so if youre driving at 70 miles per hour, then the distance is not being recorded. Once the required distance is covered, the phone would vibrate and the screen would show you the word Oh written on it. Tap on it to watch the egg hatch and the Pokémon would be added to your Pokédex.
You should be patient during the egg hatching process because the game is still new and there are additional features, and bug fixes being done on a daily basis to improvise and improve the application further.
How To Get 10km Eggs In Pokemon Go
When it comes to eggs in Pokemon GO, having a few in their incubators as trainers go about their daily business is usually good practice.
Like eggs of other required walking distances, 10 kilometer eggs are acquired at Pokestops by spinning their photo disks. All Pokemon GO trainers need to do is to approach a Pokestop on the in-game map, tap the Pokestops icon, and spin the central disc in order to acquire items.
However, it is important to keep in mind that Pokestop rewards are randomized and it may take some time in order to get a 10km egg. Additionally, players with Adventure Sync may achieve egg rewards for reaching their fitness goals. However, these 10km eggs typically possess different Pokemon hatches.

How Fast Can You Walk To Hatch A Pokmon Egg
It’s currently believed the optimal speed for hatching a Pokémon Go is 10.5 KM/H . Go slower, and it’ll just take you longer to hatch. Go faster, and Pokémon Go will discount the distance you’re traveling or, if you go fast enough, ignore it altogether.
If you reach 35 KM/H , you’ll get the speed-lock popup. At that point, little if any of your distance will be counted.
