How Do I Get Premier Balls

Raid during Pokémon GO Fest 2021

Premier balls are exclusive to raids, and are the sole type of Poké ball that you can use to try and capture the raid boss if you successfully defeat it. You cant collect premier balls using the ordinary means, and will instead earn a set number depending on the following factors:

  • Defeat the boss: five premier balls
  • Damage: up to four premier balls
  • Gym: up to two if you control gym
  • Team contribution: you gain extra premier balls depending on the damage your team, as a whole, inflicts
  • Friends: Raid with a friend to receive up to four extra premier balls

So, as you can see, its possible to earn a fair number of extra balls by paying attention to the above.

Raid Invitations And Remote Raids In Pokmon Go

As the global pandemic slowed Pokémon Go play and Raids in particular during the early part of 2020, Niantic began to implement new features to make Raids more accessible. Now Trainers can purchase Remote Raid Passes, which allow them to take part in Raids that aren’t within range for a normal Raid Pass. These Remote Raid Passes will let you join in any Raid you can see on the screen. Additionally, Remote Raid Passes allow you to join into any Raid a Friend invites you to. Raid Invitations were added shortly after Remote Raid Passes, allowing Trainers to invite up to five of their Friends to join in a Raid from anywhere in the world.

Find A Raid With Eggs In Pokmon Go

Raids can be found during the day between 5am and 10pm above the arenas or through the Nearbyfeature at the bottom right of your screen. The raid time in Pokémon GO also shows a specific raid on all arenas every Wednesday of the month between 6pm and 7pm.

Raids are represented by an egg indicating their difficulty level and a timer indicating the time until they hatch. Once the egg hatches, you have 45 minutes to complete the raid and defeat Pokémon in an attempt to capture it.

Depending on the difficulty of the raid, you will need the help of other players who can join your party to reach a total of up to 20 participants.

Level 1 Raids

Raid 1 eggs can usually be defeated on their own without difficulty. Use your Pokémon with the highest PCs and you should win without problems. Duration: 3 minutes

Level 3 Raids

Pokémon found in level 3 raid eggs are rarer and more powerful. We recommend that you gather between 3 and 7 players to ensure victory. Duration: 3 minutes.

Legendary Raids

This is the most difficult raid in Pokémon GO. This legendary raid egg will have you encountering some very rare and overpowered legendary Pokémon . You will need between 8 and 11 participants to be sure to defeat it. Duration: 5 minutes

Mega-Raids

Mega-raid eggs is a fairly new feature that allows you to meet Pokémon capable of mega-evolution as well as the candy needed for their mega-evolution. You can beat their final form easily with a minimum of 8 other players.

Rotating Habitat Schedule Times For Pokmon Go Fest 2021 Explained

During the first day of Go Fest 2021 – Saturday, 17th July – you’ll be able to enjoy four different habitat hours – , Desert Mountain, Ocean Beach and Cave.

Each habitat sees a different selection of Pokémon appearing more frequently in the wild and, if you’re a Go Fest ticket holder, specific Pokémon will be attracted to incense during these hours.

Every habitat lasts for an hour and occurs twice throughout the day, which means each habitat will be available for two hours.

The habitats will rotate global in order of Jungle, Desert Mountain, Ocean Beach and Cave, with this rotation beginning at 10am in the earlier participating time zone, which is UTC+ 14.

This rotation will then continue throughout the event – from 10am to 6pm – and, because of this, the first habitat hour you experience might not be Jungle.

Here are the starting regions for four regions across the globe:

  • UK – Desert Mountain
  • Europe – Jungle
  • US East Coast – Ocean Beach
  • US West Coast – Desert Mountain

If you don’t fill in any of the above regions, then please use the table below to check your habitat rotation and, if you don’t know which UTC corresponds to your time zone, you can use this time zone converter.

Time Zone
10am to 11am2pm to 3pm

Music-related Pokémon, such as Chimecho, Kricketot and Audino, will also be appearing throughout every habitat hour, alongside a new costume Pikachu. It will also be easier to find shiny Pokémon on this day.

Pokmon Go: Current Raid Battles

While you can catch plenty of Pokémon in the wild and hatch plenty of Pokémon in Eggs in Pokémon Go, Raid Battles are where you get some of the best and most powerful Pokémon in the game. While some of the Raid bosses are common and weak, Raids are also one of few ways to encounter Legendary Pokémon, Mega Pokémon, and certain rare species.

Which Pokémon, you ask? Well, the line-up changes pretty often. Each new event brings new and different Raid Bosses, and Niantic frequently changes them up just for fun. Lucky for you, we’ve got the whole list right here, and be sure to chek out our best Pokémon Go accessories so you’re fully equipped on your Pokémon Journey!

Raid Passes And How To Get Them

Unfortunately you cant just partake in Raid Battles anytime you want. Youre going to need Raid Passes and theyre a rather limited resource unless youre willing to spend. By spinning the Photo Disc at the Gym, you will acquire one free Raid Pass per day. This means that if youre being frugal, you can only participate in Raids once a day.

If youre out of Raid Passes and want more, then you can purchase the Premium Raid Pass at the games Shop.

Alternatively if youre one who doesnt want to leave the comfort of their own home then you can use Remote Raid Passes. These passes are special as they allow you to join any Raids nearby or Raids you can tap on the Map.

The only way to acquire Remote Raid Passes is either by purchasing them from the Shop or being lucky enough to have someone gift them to you.

How Do I Catch Raid Bosses

Even with the maximum possible number of premier balls at your disposal, youre still not guaranteed to catch the Pokémon especially if its a legendary at tier five. If you want to significantly increase your chances, youre going to need to use a golden razz berry.

Fortunately, golden razz berries are a reward for defeating raid bosses in the first place, so if you raid often you should have plenty on you to increase the chances of capturing the boss.

Heres a round-up of other things you can do to increase your chances of catching a difficult raid boss:

  • Throw a curveball by spinning the Poké ball before you throw it
  • Get an excellent throw by landing the Poké ball within the circle when its small
  • Get medals for the type of Pokémon youre aiming to catch

How To Catch Pokemon In Raid Battles

When you successfully defeat a Raid Boss, youll get the chance to catch it. Youll be given a set number of Premier Balls to use, but its not guaranteed that youll be able to catch it, especially if its a Legendary.

Here are some ways to increase the number of Premier Balls youll get:

  • Deal a high amount of damage to the Raid boss.
  • Your team deals a high amount of damage to the Raid boss.
  • Controlling the gym that the Raid takes place in.
  • Participating in Raids with friends.

Remember, you can also use Razz Berries, or even better Golden Razz Berries, to help catch Raid bosses. Getting excellent throws or spinning curveballs will increase your chances, too.

Now youre all clued up on Raids and the creatures you can battle at Gyms this month, its time to get out there and catch yourself some Pokemon and maybe even a Legendary. Good luck, trainers!

Pokemon Go: Legendary Raid Hours Are Coming Each Week In June

Cresselia and Kyogre Raids will appear in large numbers for a limited time.

Over the past few months, Pokemon Go has held experimental Legendary Raid Hours, which cause Tier 5 Raids to appear in greater numbers than normal for a single hour. If you enjoy participating in these kinds of events, weve got some good news: four Legendary Raid Hours will be held this month.

Throughout the month of June, Legendary Raid Hours will take place every Wednesday evening. Specifically, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time, more Tier 5 Raids will appear than normal.

Two Legendary Pokemon will be featured in these events: Cresselia will star in the Legendary Raid Hours on June 5 and 12, while Kyogre will be featured in the Legendary Raid Hours on June 19 and 26. Even if you cant make it out to play on these four dates, youll still have the chance to battle and capture Cresselia and Kyogre this month.

Cresselia is appearing in Legendary Raid battles until June 18 at 4 p.m. ET. After that point, Kyogre will begin appearing in Raids, and will stick around until June 27 at 4 p.m. ET.

Theres one more Pokemon thats being featured in the games current Legendary Raid schedule: Groudon, which will appear in Raids from June 27 at 4 p.m. ET to July 10 at 4 p.m. ET. We wouldnt be surprised if Groudon was the star of its own Legendary Raid Hours sometime in July. Well let you know if thats the case.
