Japanese Pokmon Heartgold And Soulsilver Sets
When the Heartgold and Soulsilver Pokémon trading card lineup was released in Japan, it was done differently from in America. It also had an abnormally long waiting period in between the first and second sets.
Heartgold and Soulsilver Collection
Heartgold and Soulsilver Collection is the first Japanese set based on the Heartgold and Soulsilver games. It has 140 cards in total, including the following special cards: Alph Lithograph, Ursaring Prime, Crobat Prime, Typhlosion Prime, Meganium Prime, Blissey Prime, Donphan Prime, Ampharos Prime, Feraligatr Prime, Lugia LEGEND, and Ho-Oh LEGEND. Starting from this set, the Trainer cards in Japan have been renamed Goods cards. It has been renamed in America as HeartGold SoulSilver, or HS.
Heartgold and Soulsilver special decks
The Heartgold and Soulsilver special decks were released in between the releases of the first and second Heartgold and Soulsilver sets. Expert Deck: Leafeon vs. Metagross is a set of two 60-card decks with a CD for online play. In addition to being more powerful than most theme decks, the Leafeon and Metagross decks have special cards that weren’t released in any other Japanese sets. There are also Battle Starter decks, which were released with special cards only available to their specific deck. The decks are named Offense , Defense , Speed , and Skill .

Best Pokmon Tcg Cards
With all that in mind, here are ten of the best Pokémon cards from throughout the trading card games long history and many expansions. They include the powerful and the beautiful, the common and the rare, the familiar and the more obscure. The one thing they have in common, though, is youve gotcha catch em all.
List Of Pokmon By Alola Pokdex Number
In addition to the overall order, the Alola Pokédex splits Pokémon into four sub-listings: the Melemele Pokédex , with 120 Pokémon the Akala Pokédex , with 130 Pokémon the Ula’ula Pokédex , with 130 Pokémon and the Poni Pokédex , with 100 Pokémon. In-game, the Pokémon in each island’s listing retain their general Alola Pokédex number, such as Pikipek‘s number being #010 in all of the island listings even though it is the first Pokémon in all but Melemele’s list.

Pikachu And Zekrom Gx
Pikachu and Zekrom GX was among the first wave of Tag Team GX Pokémon cards, and it made a shocking impact on the metagame. Tag Teams boasted more powerful attacks and higher HP with the only downside being an additional Prize Card lost when they’re knocked out.
This proved to be little concern with the likes of Pikachu and Zekrom GX. With Trainer cards like Electropower, Electromagnetic Radar, and the Thunder Mountain Stadium to back it up, Pikachu and Zekrom GX came out with a ton of support and little to stand in its way.
Arceus And Dialga And Palkia Gx
Arceus and Dialga and Palkia GX is the granddaddy of all Tag Team Pokémon despite requiring two types of Energy cards to attack. Its basic attack, Ultimate Ray, deals a load of damage while charging your Pokémon with Energy. However, Altered Creation GX is the main selling point, as it powers up your Pokémon’s attacks while making it so you take one more Prize Card for each knockout.
Combine this with a powerhouse like the new Zacian V or Mega Lopunny and Jigglypuff GX, and you have an easy win on your hands, especially with how common Tag Team GX cards still are in the metagame.

Variations Between English And Japanese Editions
- The Japanese variations of the cards did not have a numbering system till the release of Pokémon VS, and the number featured on the cards before that represents the Pokémons Pokédex number.
- The English numbering is based on an alphabetical sorting, with descending rarity, a sorting that would stay the same till the release of Black & White. The Japanese order is based on type, and ascending rarity, and stayed this way until the release of e-Card 2.

Charizard & Braixen Gx
Topping the charts with a price tag of $170, the tag team hyper rare commands a spot in the charts for good reason. Not only are they one of the more useful cards on the field, most rare cards that have a Charizard on the front only increase in value as time passes by.
This card also puts the spotlight on the Generation 1 legend, something that it’s predecessors have put on the companion Pokémon. In addition, its attacks come with a flurry of status inducing issues and high damage rates making it one to look out for.

Some Pokémon cards stand out just a little bit more than the rest – either due to your own childhood nostalgia from playing the video games and memories of picking up the basics of how to play the Pokémon TCG, because theyre especially popular or powerful, or simply because theyre really beautiful cards thanks to the extraordinary art of the Pokémon TCG illustrators, showcase with alternate artwork and full-art cards. Rare and powerful cards are what everyone’s looking for, a range of unique legendaries to fill out your deck.
It’s not easy though. With thousands upon thousands of cards and would-be Pokémon trainers each having their own preferences for types, Pokémon and abilities, it’s hard to pin down what makes the best Pokémon cards – do you measure the success of a card by how well-known it is or how far it carries a competitive pro player in the Pokémon TCG World Championships?
Everyone has their own list of favourites, but one thing is certain: the most important thing about a card is the ability for players to have fun with it. That could be by collecting it, playing casual matches with friends or even securing a place in the next round of a major tournament. Every card you choose to include in your deck makes it unique, and if its important to you – for any reason – thats as good a reason as any to include it.

Reshiram And Charizard Gx
Reshiram and Charizard GX was obviously going to be a dominant card from the second it was revealed. With attack power that ranges from 230 damage to 300, 270 HP, and ample Trainer card support, there was little that was going to slow this creature down.
With the Welder and a Volcanion to cheat out Fire Energy, Fiery Flint and Fire Crystal to ensure you have Fire Energy in your hand at all times, Heatran GX as an alternate win condition, and Heat Factory for draw, there is little that isn’t available to the player in a Reshiram and Charizard GX build.
Lucario And Melmetal Gx
It’s always fun to see one of Pokémon’s best visual designs with one of its worst, and Lucario teamed up with Melmetal is a perfect example of that amusing disconnect. Still, it’s an excellent recent card with a very good defense ability in Full Metal Wall GX, to the point where it’s one of those cards you could pratically build a deck around. Or just imagine the bizarre buddy comedy between Nutblob and the Kung-Fu Fox, it’s up to you.

Gardevoir & Sylveon Gx
Mint version of this card sells for $70, and lucky they do, otherwise this card wouldn’t be on the list. Having extremely niche battle uses, the tag team is only effective when there’s an abundance of Fairy energy cards in play, cards that are also very niche.
While the attack’s damage is nothing to sneeze at with Magical Miracle GX delivering 200 damage, each one requires large amounts or affects Fairy energy. With Magical Miracle GX requiring 6 energy cards to be attached for full effect, the artwork and rarity seem to be the driving factors in its worth.
