The following wall of text is the entire Meltan quest line dialog, from Stage 1 to the very end. Obviously, major story spoilers ahead.

Trainer, its always great to see you! Im sure you know this, but your help in progressing my research has been essential to major breakthroughs in my work. Thats why Ive come to talk to you again. You probably already know what Ill be asking! I need your assistance in learning more about the newly discovered Pokemon that has really sent me and other Pokemon researchers into quite a tizzy. Can you believe an undiscovered Pokemon just appeared out of the blue? You can imagine how everyone is talking about it! I was checking a nearby habitat when I ran into a nest of them, and I was so excited, I dropped my camera! Dont worry, though Im sure the repairs wont cost me too much at the shop Although each Pokemon turned out to be a Ditto using the move Transform, that didnt put a damper on my day! So many Ditto taking on this unique Pokemon form must mean that the real Pokemon is truly out there, just waiting to be found.

Can I Get More Than One Mystery Box

Seeing as catching and transferring multiple Meltan will be your most reliable method of gathering Meltan candies, you’re likely wondering whether you’ll have more than the 30 minutes your first Mystery Box gives you to catch more. That answer is yes.

It has been confirmed that players will be able to earn more Mystery Boxes at regular intervals. There’s an unspecified timer that dictates when you’ll be able to earn another Mystery Box, and once we know the details of that timer we’ll share them with you. For now, just know that your path to Melmetal should be walkable so long as you have regular access to Pokémon GO and Pokémon Let’s Go.

Get Meltan Through The Mystery Package

Fortunately if you don’t want to start a quest divided into nine different sections you can always try to get the legendary Meltan pokemon using the mysterious package object.

The Mysterious Package is a particular object inside Pokèmon Go that is able to make the pokemon appear on the game map to get such a Package you need to complete an exchange of any kind from Pokemon Go to Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee. The Nintendo accounts associated with the games must be different, so you need to exchange a monster with a friend and not with your copy of the game.

Once the surprise pack has been used it will close again after a certain amount of time.

Lets Go Meltan Part 8 Of 9

The eighth part of this challenge asks the player to complete the following tasks:

• Capture 2 Omanyte or 2 Kabuto
• Catch 2 Lileep or Anorith
• Catch an Aerodactyl

By completing all these small requests you will get the following items as a reward:8000 units of stardust, one unit of Stardust Piece.

On top of that Meltan officially begins to appear for the game map.

How To Get A Shiny Meltan And Melmetal In Pokmon Go

Like all Pokémon species, Meltan and Melmetal are available in “shiny” forms in Pokémon Go. Shiny Pokémon have a special color variant. They appear completely at random and are incredibly rare.

Encountering one is purely a numbers game, i.e., the more Meltan you encounter in the wild, the greater the chance of you seeing a Shiny one.

A couple of special Pokémon Go events have increased the odds of Shiny Meltan appearing in-game.

How To Transfer Meltan From Pokemon Go To Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu And Let’s Go Eevee

If we got Meltan on our smartphone to pass it to our Nintendo Switch, we need to perform a series of steps, so we’ll see how you can exchange pokemons between the two platforms and get the most out of the connections between the two games.

First you need to continue inside Pokemoin Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee until you reach the city of Fucsiapoli. In the vicinity of the city, in fact, there is a complex of facilities that is essential to achieve our goal: the GO Park.

How To Catch Meltan: The Mystery Box And Transfers Between Pokemon Go And Lets Go

Heres what you might have missed: Professor Oak has discovered a mysterious Metal Box that is made up of the same materials as Meltan itself being that it is a Steel-type Pokemon that has liquid metal as a large part of its body. Its clear that this mysterious box is going to have a major impact on your ability to catch it.

Its all about that previously-mentioned cross-game synergy: players will be rewarded with a Mysterious Box the first time they transfer a Pokemon from Pokemon Go to Pokemon Lets Go. Subsequent transfers will get more standard rewards like Pokemon Candy, but the first time you transfer the Mystery Box is your in-game reward.

Opening the Mystery Box in Pokemon Go will then allow Meltan to appear for real in the game for a limited thirty minute period. These are real Meltan not those Ditto-like appearances from earlier and players can catch as many as spawn around them during the thirty-minute period after opening the Mystery Box.

Heres the good news once youve retrieved the mystery box, its yours forever. Itll remain closed for a week once opened, however, so youll have to wait before opening it again, and each time you re-open it youll need to sync up with Pokemon Lets Go. In essence, you get one week of Meltan catching time per week and thats a challenge, given how much candy youre going to need for the creature to evolve.

Of course, the ultimate goal of opening the Mystery Box is to nab all the Meltan that emerge from it, and over the course of that half an hour you’ll get quite a few of the little beasties. Catch them, and tuck them away in your Pokemon Go box. From here you can trade them to fellow Pokemon Go players, or try to evolve it.

That is a lot of work for a small Pokémon, but Meltan and its evolved form, Melmetal, is the only Mythical Pokémon that can be placed in gyms. Meltan isnt super great at attacking or defending and is more of a Pokédex filler, but Melmetal is a pretty OK defender. It does, however, require 400 candy to evolve, so unless youre planning on walking a lot with a Meltan, you should work on grabbing extra Meltan through other methods.

Lets Go Meltan Special Research

The Pokémon Go Meltan quest is the primary way to obtain the Pokémon for those who dont own a Nintendo Switch. The quest, “Lets Go, Meltan,” is available to all players, and is found under the Special tab in the Research menu.

To open the Research menu, tap the binoculars icon from the main game screen.

There are nine phases in total to complete the Lets Go, Meltan Special Research quest, with each phase having three tasks that must be completed before proceeding.

After the eighth phase is completed, Meltan appears and you can capture it as you would a regular Pokémon. Capturing Meltan completes the ninth phase and finishes the Lets Go Meltan research.

What Is Meltan And The Mystery Box

Meltan is a Mythical Steel type Pokémon that was originally introduced in Pokémon Go. It was the first of its kind as all other Pokémon have been introduced in either the core games or through the Pokémon animation. Meltan has very limited availability and its evolution, Melmetal can still only be evolved in Pokémon Go. Up until recently, there were only two ways Trainers could catch this Mythical Pokémon: Special Research or linking your Pokémon Go account to Lets Go, Pikachu! or Lets Go, Eevee!.

Now, players have an additional means of catching Meltan. You can earn a Mystery Box that can open once per week by linking your Pokémon Go and Pokémon HOME accounts. The Mystery Box will act like an Incense but specifically for Meltan, luring dozens of the tiny Hex Nut Pokémon to your location for one hour. It takes time to recharge, but once the timer has run out, you can transfer another Pokémon to HOME and earn yourself another hour of Meltan spawns. If you happen to use your Mystery Box during certain events you can even catch yourself a Shiny Meltan!

• Catch 5 Steel-type Pokémon: Your best bet is to look in cities and urban environments. If you live in a more rural environment, you can use a Magnetic Lure Module to attract steel-type Pokémon.
• Catch 5 Electric-type Pokémon: The best way to do this task is to find an electric biome . Electric biomes tend to be in locations that are industrial in nature. They can be found near schools, railroad tracks, or even universities. It’s not completely clear cut, but people do tend to report biomes online, so you may be able to find one close to you. Hatching will not count as progress for these tasks. However, there are other field research tasks that grant you relevant rewards. “Make 5 Nice Throws” will grant a Voltorb. “Use a Super Effective Charged Move in 7 Gym Battles” will grant an Electabuzz. • Earn 5 Candies walking with your buddy: Refer to the stage 3 section for reminders on good options for earning 5 candies walking with your buddy. I would remind you that if you are short on any candy required to complete evolution tasks, this could also be a good time to walk with the require Pokémon. Cmo Evolucionar A Meltan En Melmetal

El único problema de transferir a Meltan es que no existe ninguna forma de hacerlo evolucionar en Pokémon: Let’s Go, así que esto es algo que tendremos que hacer en Pokémon GO. ¿Cómo? Pues como con casi cualquier otra criatura: dándole de comer caramelos. La mala noticia es que necesitaremos darle la friolera de 400 caramelos, por lo que tardaremos una buena temporada en llegar a esta cifra.

La clave aquí consiste en conseguir más cajas misteriosas para poder invocar más Meltan. El único problema es que tendremos que esperar siete días entre una y otra, por lo que una vez utilizada, no recibiremos una nueva por transferir nuestros monstruos a Let’s Go hasta que el contador se reinicie.

Por lo tanto, os recomendamos encarecidamente que uséis Bayas Pinia para duplicar el número de caramelos que cada Meltan capturado os dé. De esta manera, le sacaréis mucho más partido cada semana y solo necesitaréis utilizar la mitad de cajas de lo que sería habitual. Lo normal suele ser capturar entre 10 y 12 Meltan cada semana, así que también tenéis que sumarle los caramelos extras que os den por transferir al profesor Willow los que no queráis.

Por supuesto, tampoco os olvidéis de poner a Meltan como vuestro compañero para que genere caramelos mientras paseáis. Una vez evolucionado, podréis optar por transferir a Melmetal a Let’s Go y así completar la Pokédex con las 153 entradas posibles.

The Mystery Box Holds The Key To Catching Meltan

We now know that Meltan appears in Pokémon GO. In order to catch Meltan, it is essential to have a Mystery Box, which can be received by sending Pokémon from Pokémon GO to or

The Mystery Box closes itself after it’s used once. The only way to open it again is to wait a set amount of time, and then send another Pokémon to or You can also get a Mystery Box for sending Pokémon to a friend’s Nintendo Switch game, but you can only have one Mystery Box at a time!

You can then bring the Meltan you catch in Pokémon GO to or , where it can follow you around during your adventure in the Kanto region. Even if you don’t catch Meltan in Pokémon GO yourself, you can ask a friend to send one that they’ve caught into your Nintendo Switch game.

Can I Get Meltan Or Melmetal Without Pokmon Go

Yes and no. While Pokémon GO is required to catch Meltan, you yourself don’t have to play a single bit. That means you can court some family or friends to help you out by trading whatever they catch and evolve to your Pokémon: Let’s Go game.

Of course, you’ll want to do it all yourself if you can, especially if you’re hoping to get a shiny version of Meltan or even just get one with improved stats. Better to have your own equipment and to do it on your own time than having to rely on others, we say!

• Hatch three eggs .
