Wtf First It Said I Couldn’t Transfer Shiny Pokemon And Now I Can

When I tried transferring my shiny Pinsir into Pokepark, it wouldn’t let me. It literally said shiny Pokemon couldn’t be transferred. After Choosen undid my edit, I went to get a screenshot of it, but this time I could without problems. Maybe because I caught a Pinsir in Let’s Go Eevee in between events?

Collecting Both Pikachu And Eevee

Just because you choose Eevee version doesnt mean you wont be able to get a Pikachu, and vice versa. Pikachu is easy to find in the wild as early as Viridian City; theyre not the most common finds, but you can grab multiple Pikachu without putting in too much effort.

Eevee, meanwhile, was never available to catch in the wild in the original Game Boy games. Lets Go! draws heavily on these, so we imagine it works the same way: Theres a single Eevee a player can grab, and it requires sneaking into the backdoor of the Celadon City mansion.

Pikachu lovers who want an Eevee will most likely have to rely on trading with someone else someone who already traded themselves an Eevee from Pokémon Go.

Play With Your Partner

You can play with your partner Pikachu or Eevee when youâre not in battle by selecting the Pikachu or Eevee icon on your main menu. The more time you spend with your partner, the more itâll grow to love you! As you become closer, itâll give you high fives or even find gifts for you as you travel. Lots of good things can happen if youâre friends with your partner!

Your starter Eevee or Pikachu will not be able to evolve, but any Pokémon that you catch will. Keep in mind that since the game features first-generation Pokémon, the only available Eeveelutions will be Jolteon, Flareon and Vaporeon.

How Do I Get To Saffron City

Update : The route entrances leading to Saffron City are initially blocked, and the guards say something about wanting a refreshing tea. While you can use the underground tunnels to bypass Saffron, in order to open up those above-ground entrances, you will need to get the tea.

Approach Brock in Celadon City. Hes hanging out by the gym and may only appear after youve defeated it. He stammers something about how skilled the trainers are and then hands you some tea that hes carrying around. Now you can hand it to any of the guards in the entrances to the routes surrounding Saffron , and theyll share it among themselves and allow you to enter and exit as you please.

Which Pokmon Will Be Available

Currently, just the first generation of Pokémon will be available in the games, though their Alolan forms will also appear. Mewtwo has been confirmed to appear, but the status of the other Legandaries is unknown.

Lets Go Eevee: Your Own Pikachu

Just like the other game, you arent unable to find your own Pikachu if you decide to go with Lets Go, Eevee. You wont be able to dress it up or teach it special moves, but just like the original games, Pikachu is available early in the game in Viridian Forest. Much like Eevee, it has a rare appearance rate, but with how large the forest is youre bound to find one soon.

Much like captured Eevees in either game, you can also evolve captured Pikachus into Raichus freely, regardless of which game you’re playing. Your starter Pokémon is the only one you own that must remain in its adorable pre-evolved form.

Colosseum and XD were described as new entries in the vein of Stadium and Stadium 2. By contrast, throughout the conference they called these games part of the main series/mainline series/etc. as mentioned above. Update : Unlike the original Kanto games where after you picked one starter, unlocking the others was not easy you can obtain all three throughout the course of the game. All three can be given to you by various NPCs, though you have to catch a certain amount of Pokémon to be eligible . Additionally, theres also a chance to spot them in certain places in the wild .

What About Trainer Battles

Trainer battles will have the same turn-based move-selecting mechanics of the traditional games.

Update : A new trailer revealed a special type of trainer to battle: Master Trainers. These trainers specialize in just one type of Pokémon and will only battle you after you defeat the Elite Four. These types of battles have a specific set of rules: no items, only one Pokémon the same one that the Master Trainer specializes in. Defeat them, and you win their title. There will be 151 Master Trainers, one for each of the 151 Pokémon.

Update : Kinda. Youll still need to do actions like Surf, Fly and Flash, but instead of taking up precious move slots , your partner Pikachu or Eevee can learn all the usual HMs. Theyre called Secret Techniques and have cutesy names like Chop Down , Sky Dash , Strong Push , Sea Skim and Light Up .

You get Chop Down from the captain of the S.S. Anne; Sky Dash after you beat Giovanni at the Celadon City game center and talk to an NPC outside; Strong Push from the Go Park Warden after you find his gold teeth ; Sea Skim from the man with the Lapras outside the Go Park; and Light Up from a man in front of a small house right outside the Diglett Cave.

To use the Secret Techniques, navigate to the play menu by pushing the X button. The option for Secret Techniques will be on the left, right under Partner Play. Youll be able to select the moves youve unlocked from the menu. You can also select the piece of environment you want to interact with and the game will prompt you to use the corresponding Technique.

Lets Go Pikachu: Your Starting Partner Pikachu

This might seem obvious, but picking this version means youre going to be choosing your true partner as Pikachu from the beginning. Unlike other mainline Pokémon games, you dont choose between a selection of Grass, Fire, and Water-type Pokémon in this one. Instead, you have one Electric-type Pokémon ready and waiting to journey with you.
