This has to be one of the most relaxing pieces of Pokémon fan-art. Inspired by Twitch plays Pokémon, Mizudokei drew the main character and his Pokémon having a rest somewhere around Pallet Town. But thats just my guess.

How To Stream Mobile Games On Twitch

    calendar1 Last Updated

Streaming on Twitch has become progressively more popular over the years. While the platform has mainly showcased PC and console games in the past, there has been more demand for streamers who play games designed for mobile.

Typically speaking, games designed purely for mobile tend to do better on Twitch than games like Fortnite, unless you are an outstanding Fortnite mobile player who can bring a large following from YouTube or other social media to the streaming platform.

Regardless of what you choose to stream, this post will walk you through your options on how you can stream games designed for mobile.

Pokmon Proves Streamers Are Just Like Us

I recently watched one of Twitch megastar Jaryd Summit1G Lazars Pokémon Go streams, in which he nonchalantly said something that I found quite telling.

Yes, I am a human that goes out of my house sometimes, joked Lazar, inadvertently summing up whats so appealing about watching other folks catch em all. When you usually watch Lazar, hes nailing sick headshots in Counter-Strike or pulling off ridiculous heists in Grand Theft Auto V. But when you watch him play Pokémon Go, you get to see him explore his local Colorado neighborhood, interacting with fans both in-person and on the web while hitting up his favorite parks and eateries. Hes no longer just another extremely talented gamer in a chair hes one of us.

By combining two things people love vlogging and Pokémon Twitch streamers have successfully created a wonderfully weird new way to broadcast games. But when you look at the breadth of content on Twitch these days which includes music, art, cooking and, somehow, the Republican National Convention these quirky Pokémon Go streams fit in quite well. Heck, Twitch even added a new category dedicated to watching people eat, which is what youll be doing half the time you view a Pokémon Go broadcast.

The Main Menu And Things To Tweak Before You Stream

Once setup has finished you will be brought to the app, where there are a lot of things to discover. Spend some time familiarizing yourself with the various settings and buttons. Consider how your stream is going to run and what you want to be able to do while its happening.

On the left, clicking the button below Main Screen Share allows you to choose what part of your screen will share with your viewers. You could choose to share an entire monitor or just one particular app.

Hovering over a scene on the lefthand menu will bring up a button labelled Edit. Selecting this will allow you to tweak the scenes to your tastes with lots of customization options, including images, countdowns, Twitch alerts, and more.

Can You Play Anime Music On Twitch

As we mentioned above, you are not allowed to play music that you do not have the rights to play. Play music without a license and youre violating copyright law. Twitchs Terms of Service and Community Guidelines explicitly say: You may not include music you dont own in your Twitch streams or VODs.

What Is Mobile Streaming And How To Start It

Streaming from computers and gaming consoles like Xbox One or Sonys PS4 will ensure high image quality during broadcasts, but this shouldnt stop you from sharing live streams of mobile games on Twitch. Mobile streaming enables you to share live gameplay videos on this platform directly from your iPhone, iPad, or Android device.

There are two different ways you can broadcast mobile games on Twitch. You can either install an app that is compatible with the operating system on the Smartphone or tablet youre using or you can install computer software that lets you cast the screen of the device you intend to use for streaming to your computers display.

Besides the Twitch account, and a mobile video game youll also need to install the live streaming app on your device. If you decide to broadcast your mobile streaming video through a computer, youll need to have a microphone, a webcam, and the necessary software that enables you to connect your Smartphone or tablet to a computer, as well as a live streaming software.

Lets have a look at the actual steps youll need to take in order to start your first mobile game stream.

Twitch Plays Pokemon Crystal: The Final Battle

The campaign for Twitch Plays Pokemon Crystal has come to climactic end. As Id hoped and others predicted the final match against the Champion Red the protagonist from the first game was fought with the original team we raised. So in this match of Gods vs Mon, Lord Helix vs LazerGator, who won?

Well if we defeated the game, we clearly won the battle and what a battle it was. With our inability to really use healing items and fighting our way through Mt Silver, we certainly came to the champion with a disadvantage. It seemed almost impossible. So much so that the developer announced the countdown clock for Pokemon Emerald and said that if we hadnt completed the game in time, too bad.

I find it hard to believe that the developer actually posted that, but with the countdown clock to Twitch Plays Pokemon Emerald already up, it seems legit. Though despite these threats and lack of faith, we did it. We defeated the Gods of old in record time and with only five Pokemon.

Whether youre a follower of Helix or choose to preserve on your own strengths, a team of five Pokemon 4 actually defeating the Champions team of six is admirable. So rejoice in our victory and wait for Twitch Plays Pokemon Emerald a generation three title. I wont be following this one as closely as I have others, but I will certainly keep up to date on the stories that will be created and make a Top 5 at its close.

The matchup in movie poster form.

Once the device is connected to Reflector, hover your cursor over the mirrored device and click the settings cog next to the device name. Ensure Always on Top and Fullscreen are toggled off. • Select Get Started and set up your mic, webcam, scenes and stream quality settings.

Game lets crowd control an old Game Boy game through chat commands

“Social experiment” has spawned Reddit blog, fan art, Twitter feed

Its creator isn’t optimistic about success

How many people can play the same video game? Not in the same video game, mind you, but play the exact same game at once?

With the help of a social-media robot, more than 80,000 people are currently trying.

A version of Pokemon Red/Blue, a 1990s game for Nintendos Game Boy, has been streaming on Twitch.tv, an online video platform devoted to gaming, for the past five days.

A user known only by the gamer tag TwitchPlaysPokemon set up the social experiment to accept chat commands as the equivalent of button pushes. You know, typing up moves your character up, down moves him down and whatnot.

Except that tens of thousands of other people are doing the same thing at the same time.

The resulting movements of the main character have been spastic, to say the least. Although the horde managed some success in the first few days, capturing several of those elusive Pokemon, the sheer number of people now tapping commands into Twitchs chat window is causing the games main character, Red, to wander back and forth over the same spot, bang into walls and check his inventory with neurotic frequency.

The page has been viewed more than 10.6 million times, with the number of active users peaking at about 81,000.

    Progression And Further Games

On 18 February 2014, after encountering major difficulties with a puzzle in the Team Rocket hideout, a new mechanic was introduced in an effort to make the game easier to play, Democracy mode. Initially, all movements became subject to a vote: all inputs received over a period of time were tallied, and the winning command would be executed at the end of that time. Users could also append their movements with numbers to specify the length of the motion, such as “right3” to mean three consecutive “right” inputs. Many people were outraged over this new system and protest broke out in the Twitch chat, many of them using the command “start9” to fight the system. This became known as “The start9 protests.” The broadcaster later reworked the mechanic so that users could vote to switch between two modes: “Anarchy”, the previous default, and this new mode “Democracy.” However, a change to Democracy mode requires a supermajority vote, while a change to Anarchy mode requires only a majority vote, as indicated by an on-screen meter. This change was considered divisive by players, who believed that Democracy mode conflicted with the original concept of the stream and eliminated the potential for randomness which had helped to drive the elaborate narrative and mythology that had built up around the playthrough.

As the experiment moved into its fifth year, having exhausted all the official Pokémon games, the channel began using more fan-created mods of the Pokémon games.

The Most Incredible Fan Art From Twitch Plays Pokemon

Dorkly writes: In the early hours of March 1st, 2014, Twitch Plays Pokemon came to an end. The thousands upon thousands of players had – over the course of nearly 400 hours – completed a single game of Pokemon. In the process, memes and religions and lore were birthed – and from that, fan art. So much fan art. So much incredible, brilliant fan art, all based around one of the weirdest and most compelling pieces of internet phenomena in recent memory And we would like to remember the brilliant fan art created by sharing some of the best examples with you now. Connecting Your Nintendo Switch Console To Your Computer

Siiiick Pokemon radiation BURN!! (Part 2)

Before you begin streaming on Twitch, you need to connect your Nintendo Switch console to your computer. You will still be able to view your gameplay on your television set as usual with this setup. These instructions are for the Elgato Game Capture HD60 S, but they will also work for other similar capture devices.

  • Make sure your Nintendo Switch is in the dock. Find the HDMI cable that runs from it to your TV. Unplug the end connected to your TV and plug it into your Elgato Game Capture HD60 S.

  • Plug the Elgato Game Capture HD60 S USB cable into your computer. This will feed the game footage to OBS Studio.

  • Find the HDMI cable that came with the Elgato Game Capture HD60 S, then connect it to the HDMI Out port on the device. Plug the other end of this cable into the HDMI In port on your television set.

Now when you play Nintendo Switch games on your TV, your computer also receives a copy of the video and audio thanks to the connected USB cable.

    How To Monitor Your Chat

Easiest way to do this is to get the Twitch app and login from your second phone. You can do this on the second phone while your using Skype and just let the Skype work on the background.

Unfortunately you cant do the same with since the app closes your webcam if you tap for an another app. But there still is the possibility to just add your voice for the stream via Hangout and open the Twitch app so you can chat with your viewers. If you know a way to keep the facecam on with Google Hangouts please share it on the comments!

How To Stream To Twitch Using A Macbook

This article is over a year in the making. Ill describe how I stream to Twitch using a MacBook Pro 15 2015 El Capitan 10.11.6. My wife streams with her Macbook 13 Pro 2015 Sierra 10.12.6. If you have a newer Mac you probably wont have any USB 2.0 or 3.0 ports only USB-C. Youll need some dongles

Warning!! Dont use this. When I first started streaming I use an Elgato HD60. Since they dont write drivers for the Mac you have to use their propriety software. Its called Game Capture HD and its not very good. Im not just saying that. Ive tested this software for over a year and it has not gotten any better. Here is the article that describes the troubles youll have if you by a Elgato and Game Capture HD. I wont go into the details, but there are video and audio problem.

    Goals

Get the Mac laptop or desktop to stream our games to Twitch.tv using OBS

    Hardware youll need

AVerMedia Live Gamer Portable 2. This is plug and play. The drivers are built into the kernel. There is nothing to configure. You literally plug it in and it works. You may need to update the firmware on the Avermedia. For this youll need a micro SD card. This is a great unit, only thing that I dont like about it is the main light blinks enough when its idle to give you seizure.

    Software youll need

Soundflower Software to stream audio from the Mac X-Chat Aqua Software to get audio notifications for chat messages
