Featured Pokémon: Oshawott

How useful is this Community Day?

Oshawott Community Day is, as always with the starter Pokémon Community Days, perfect for trainers who haven’t been able to add this Pokémon or their full evolution line to their Pokédex yet. With the increased Oshawott spawns and a healthy supply of Pinap Berries, you’ll quickly be able to gather all of the Candy you need to complete these evolutions.

This Community Day is also great for shiny hunters, because it sees the release of the shiny forms for Oshawott and the members of its evolution line. Here the increased spawns will help again help in tracking down the Pokémon you need!

Shiny Eevee & Eeveelution Details

Shiny Eevee has been in the game since it was featured in August 2018s Community Day, and thus, any of its evolutions that have followed have immediately been available in their shiny forms.

Pokemon Go Oshawott Community Day Start Time

Pokemon Go Community Day featuring Oshawott will begin Sunday, September 19 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. local time.;

In those six hours, trainers will be able to catch an abundance of Oshawott in the wild. Trainers can also use an Incense to lure Oshawott to their location more frequently for three hours, up from the usual one hour.;

Can Oshawott Be Shiny In Pokemon Go

The good news is that Shiny Oshawott is currently available in Pokemon Go! This rare variation of the Unova starter actually makes its debut during this Community Day, so nows a great time to find one.

Finding a Shiny Pokemon is entirely random and can be very time-consuming. Youll simply have to encounter as many of them as you can. You can use Rainy Lure Modules and Incense to help with this.

Increased Odds Of Encountering A Shiny Version Of The Featured Pokmon

How Do I Find A Shiny Eevee

Community Day events have a heightened Shiny rate for the featured Pokémon, so if youre playing, you should be able to find several Shiny Eevee. If you dont have time to play all day, you can find a Shiny Eevee by popping an Incense, and tapping each Eevee that pops up. The Shiny rate on Community Days is approximately 1 in 25, according to The Silph Roads research, so you should find a Shiny Eevee quickly.

How To Prepare For Pokmon Go Community Day

First of all, the secret allure of Community Day is the introduction of a shiny version of the highlighted Pokémon, which will have a boosted rate during the event. That, combined with the increased spawns, makes it easy to get a a handful of shinies across the six hours.

Remember, unlike high IV Pokémon, shinies don’t appear in the same place for everyone like high-IV Pokémon – there’s a random chance of each one you encounter could be a shiny. If you’re struggling, try ‘shiny checking’, by tapping a Pokémon, then backing out without catching, then moving on to the next.

Second, there will be bonus Field Research. Community Days also have their own special Field Research tasks based on the specific Pokémon the day is highlighting. The rewards are usually just consumable items – Berries and the like – but it’s an additional thing to complete as you play.

Third, every Community Day offers 3-Hour Lures. This is the perfect day to catch as many Pokémon as physically possible, and with the increased spawn rate, increase your chances of finding a shiny.

The best way to take advantage of these bonuses is to find a set of PokéStops that are in quick walking distance or one another. You can then set up a Lure Module in one and then walk between the PokéStops; taking advantage of the Lure and ensuring that you don’t run out of Poké Balls or Berries.

Pokemon Gos September Community Day event will take place on Sunday, September 19th, 2021. Event features will be available from 11am to 5pm on each day, in each Trainers local time.

Unlike the previous Eevee Community Day, the September Community Day will not take place over the course of two days it seems that was a special one-off occasion.

You need to walk with Umbreon and Espeon as your buddy Pokémon for 10 kilometers, and then evolved them during the night and day, respectively. You can only obtain Leafeon and Glaceon when theyre evolved near a Mossy or Glacial Lure, respectively. Sylveon normally requires earning 70 hearts as your buddy Pokémon, but this number has been reduced to 7 for the event.

What Is Community Day In Pokmon Go

Community Day takes place on one weekend day every month and lasts a total of six hours.

Community Days are always held on a Saturday or Sunday every month and originally lasted for 3 hours . They are typically held from 11am to 2pm or 4pm to 7pm in your local timezone

Unfortunately, there is no sure-fire way of predicting exactly when the next Pokémon GO Community Day will fall. Looking back at past dates, we can say that community days are:

• More commonly held on a Saturday rather than a Sunday
• More commonly held in the second or third weekend of the month

However, Niantic appears to schedule the event to both avoid and complement other events in their calendar. Expect Community Days to be announced anywhere between 2 to 4 weeks ahead of the event.

Over the past year or so, Niantic seems to have realised that their old Community Day model wasnt sustainable, offering players the opportunity to catch an abundance of rare/pseudo-legendary Pokemon for a period of time.

Now, the Pokemon up for grabs are a lot more conservative, with the likes of Machop, Roselia and Swablu taking the spotlight this year.

Alongside those, weve also had a handful of repeated appearances, including Charmander and now, arriving this weekend, Eevee.

Pvp Usefulness Of Eevee And Its Evolutions In Pokemon Go

The various Eevee evolutions have varying degrees of usefulness in Pokemon Go. Of the nine Pokemon, Umbreon has consistently been seen as the most useful in Go Battle League, and that doesn’t really change that much with the addition of these moves to the various Pokemon’s arsenals. The addition of Psychic to Umbreon’s moveset provides it with some additional coverage against various Pokemon, but doesn’t immensely improve it in either Great League or Ultra League. Jolteon and Flareon also receives some moderate boosts in effectiveness, while Espeon, Vaporeon, Leafeon, and Glaceon all receive either no real boosts or downgrades thanks to their new moves. Surprisingly, Sylveon is the Pokemon most impacted by the addition of Psyshock, and makes it a much more impactful Fairy-type attacker in the game.
