With Darkrai being a Dark-type Pokemon, the best option is to use Bug, Fairy, and Fighting-type moves as Dark-types are weak against them, with each type dealing 160% damage. When it comes to Bug-type Pokemon, we recommend Pokemon such as Buzzwole, Arceus , Volcarona, and Mega Beedrill. For Fairy, we would go with Zacian, Arceus , Xerneas, and Magearna. And finally, for the Fighting-type, we would choose Zamazenta, Buzzwole, Arceus , and Marshadow.

It is worth noting that if any of your Pokemon have secondary types that include Normal, Rock, Steel, Ice, and Dark-types, then they may be weak against Darkrai so only use them if you think they will be beneficial in your party.

Darkrai In Pokemon Go: An Analysis

Many Pokemon GO players who missed out on their chance to catch Darkrai before will be given a chance in October. After capturing the Mythical Pokemon, players will be able to use it in battle. But which moves are best for Darkrai to use?

Darkrai has a couple of different options for fast attacks in Pokemon GO. Feint Attack and Snarl may both be Dark-type moves, but they have different characteristics.

Snarl is typically ran over Feint Attack for the sole reason that Snarl generates more energy. The damage difference between the two attacks is 0.2, a difference that small is almost unnoticeable.

Darkrai’s charged attacks are where things get a little more interesting. Darkrai has access to Dark Pulse, Shadow Ball, and Focus Blast in Pokemon GO.

Dark Pulse, being a Dark-type move, is given a boost to its power due to Darkrai’s Dark typing. However, Shadow Ball is typically ran over Dark Pulse. This is because it uses the same amount of energy as Dark Pulse but provides a higher damage output and gives coverage against more Pokemon.

As far as Focus Blast goes, it deals the most damage out of the rest of Darkrai’s charged attacks in Pokemon GO and would be considered by some to be superior to Shadow Ball. However, Shadow Ball can be used a lot more than Focus Blast due to the energy cost, meaning that the opponent is more likely to burn up their shields from Darkrai’s attacks.

Snarl + Dark Pulse And Sludge Wave Or Gunk Shot

This is Alolan Muks best, most generally useful moveset. Snarls great energy generation allows it to leverage a fairly expensive set of charged moves with very solid coverage. Dark Pulse is mandatory as A-Muks Dark-type move. Sludge Wave and Gunk Shot are both totally viable options for your secondary. Sludge Waves lower energy cost can make it a little less punishing if it gets shielded, though Gunk Shots stronger if it lands .

Muk is known for dealing out some pretty significant damage in Pokemon GO, and Muk can certainly take a hit, which can throw other players off in battles. With the Muk spotlight that just passed in Pokemon GO, a new wave of players can use the Poison-type themselves.

When choosing the best moveset for a Pokemon, there is typically a defensive moveset and an offensive one. Defensive movesets are meant for defending gyms while offensive movesets are used for battles and everything in between. Though Muk can split into both categories, the safest route is to stick to the offensive moveset.

For the fast attack, Muk should have Poison Jab. It has the highest DPS of all the available fast attacks and the energy per second is still fairly high. A second contender would be Acid, because it has a fantastic EPS to DPS ratio, but the move is much harder to get.

When choosing a charge attack, Gunk Shot is the priority pick. The Poison-type attack deals some massive damage and can counter some heavy hitters in battles. As always though, a second charge attack can be equipped, and in that case, Dark Pulse is a great option. Gunk Shot does more damage, but Dark Pulse will charge fast and can burn some shields. It also offers some type variety on Muk.

Is Darkrai Good In Pokemon Go Pvp

Despite its Mythical status, its typing and its mean looks, Darkrai really isnt that good in Pokemon GO. At least in the GO Battle League that is.

Due to its high CP, Darkrai doesnt qualify for the Great League, and based on its ranking, it might as well not bother in the Ultra League either.

Ranking site PVPoke has Darkrai down as the 423rd best choice in the Ultra League. Although it can defeat the likes of Origin Giratina, Gallade, Cofagrigus and Jirachi, it falls to many other Pokemon.

Pokemon like Mandibuzz, Umbreon and Scrafty are much better Dark-type picks in the Ultra League. Even Pokemon like Sneasel and Cacturne are better picks for the division.

Moving onto the Master League and Darkrai does perform a little better, however, its still not great, coming in at 170th place.

It does beat a handful of threats, including Mewtwo, Giratina and Metagross, it becomes prey to the majority of the other big hitters. Yveltal, Zarude, Weavile and Hydreigon are all better Dark-type picks here.

Everything We Know About Darkrai

Known as the Pitch-Black Pokémon, Darkrai is the embodiment of nightmares.

Originating from the Sinnoh region, Darkrai is a member of the Lunar Duo, alongside its counterpart, Cresselia. Each legendary Pokémon inhabits an island that geographically sit opposite each other Cresselia lives on Fullmoon Island, while Darkrai can be found on Newmoon Island.

Darkrai has the ability to both create and inhabit nightmares. People who have cursed with dreams by Darkrai often become trapped within them, unable to wake up. If this happens, the dreamer can only be saved by the Lunar Wing from Cresselia.

If you wanted to catch Darkrai in Pokémon Platinum, you had to save Sailor Eldritch’s son from his nightmares using the Lunar Wing. You would then be able to access the Harbor Inn in Canalave City using the Member Card. Here you would fall into a nightmare and find yourself on Newmoon Island.

Best Moves And Skills For Darkrai

The fast moves Darkrai can learn are Feint Attack and Snarl, and Snarl is usually used much more often. Both Fast Moves can benefit from the same type attack bonus to take down any Ghost or Psychic-type Pokemon in no time.

As for its charged moves, Darkrai has Dark Pulse , Focus Blast , and Shadow Ball . Mostly, Shadow Ball is used as Darkrais primary charged move in fact, Shadow Ball is the primary move for most Pokemon that can learn it but there are situations where Dark Pulse can put on better performance.

In PVPs, Darkrai falls behind many Pokemon, and its unrecommended to use as there are far better Pokemon that could take its place.

The shiny version of Darkrai is available in raids now! Go ahead and challenge the raids with your friends to get a chance to catchem all!

Pokemon Go Muk Best Moveset In Battle League

Great League

Muk actually has a strong stab attack with Poison Jab. Without a doubt, it is the best pick for its Fast Attack as it not only deals a decent amount of attack to Fairy-types, but it can also generate energy quickly.

Trainers can go either two routes with its Charge attack, although we recommend investing in two moves. Its access to Thunder Punch is a great counter for Flying and Water-type mon, and Dark Pulse is also strong against Psychic creatures.

While the Kanto Poison-type isnt as strong in Ultra League, it can continue to use Poison Jab to keep popular UL choice, Wigglytuff, on its toes. Since it generates energy fast, Thunder Punch can be launched into easily.

Using the fast combo of the two moves mentioned above is a great way to bait out opponents shields. Dark Pulse is again the second-best Charge Attack, and is a great way to protect Muk seeing as its weak against Psychic-types.

Master League

Unfortunately, Muk isnt very viable in BLs Master League. Its not only outclassed in almost every way, but its not very strong against the games current Meta which heavily favors Dragon and Steel-type.
