Pokemon Go Friend Ranks
Each time you send a gift to a friend, trade or battle in a raid together, your friendship level increases.
You can only increase your friendship level once per day, so it won’t matter if you battle and send them a gift in the same day, the rank only will still only increase once.
There are four different friendship ranks, denoted by how many hearts are next to each Trainer’s name.
Friends can be one of four ranks:
- Good Friends – 1 Interaction
- Ultra Friends – 30 Interactions
- Best Friends – 90 Interactions
It’ll take approximately 90 days to reach Best Friends status if you do one interaction every day.
Giving And Receiving Gifts
If you send a gift to each other and open it every day, youre increasing your friendship growth ever so slightly. Doing so regularly, where you give and receive a gift every single day, youll soon be up to Ultra friends in a matter of 30 days. But youll need to make sure you have enough gifts to give, so stock up or be sure to collect one from a nearby Pokestop once a day.
Pokemon Go: Best Fighting
Fighting is currently one of the best types in the game. It’s dominated by Pokemon that hit fast and hard, and it serves as the weakness to many strong Pokemon, including Dark- and Steel-types, as well as the ever-popular Normal-type gym defenders like Blissey and Slaking. It looks like Fighting will remain a dominant time for the foreseeable future, as well, unless there’s some extreme meta shift, which is unlikely.
The best Fighting-type is probably no surprise: Shadow Machamp. This Gen I punchy friend has long been considered one of the best Fighting-types in series history, and its Shadow boost just makes it even better. With access to some of the best Fighting-type moves, as well as Rock Slide for coverage against Flying-types, Sh. Machamp isn’t going down without a fight. Even without the Shadow boost, regular Machamp sits at the top too, just slightly behind some newer introduced Pokemon like Lucario, Blaziken, and Mega Lopunny. But, it’s fast, has decent bulk, and hits hard, so it’s still a terrific option, especially given how abundantly common Machop is.
The first of many Fighting-type Mega Evolutions to see release in GO is Mega Lopunny. It’ll likely lose some places in the ranking when others like M-Lucario and Mega Mewtwo X are released, but for now, Mega Lop is a sure bet. With a max Attack stat of 282, it’s definitely a Pokemon worth adding to your team, even if it won’t be one the best for long.

How To Get Best Buddy In Pokemon Go

Adding Friends In Pokemon Go
Every trainer in Pokemon Go can add up to 200 Friends at once .
Players add each other using Pokemon Go Friend Codes that are 12 digit random codes that are assigned to each trainer.
You can find your own Pokemon Go Friend Code by going to your Profile in the Pokemon Go App. Select the Friends Tab and then the Add Friend Button.
From there you’ll see your Trainer Code at the top of the screen, which you can then give to your friends to add you.
Once they add you, you’ll get a Friend Request that you can accept and then they’ll be added to your Friends List. You can delete any friends you don’t want also.

Fastest: Battle In Raids And Gyms
The final way to increase your friend level quickly is to join together to battle in gyms and raids. Once per day, if you work together you can get a boost to your friend level with each person you are in a Raid or gym battle with. Of course, they have to be your friends to start with, so use your QR code to become friends before you battle.
Obviously, this only works with friends you are close to locally but it has the advantage that it works in bulk. If six or your friends are in a raid with you then all 6 of those friends will receive a boost to their friend level. This means you can work together en masse to reach Ultra friend status and get to battling remotely from the comfort of your couch.
Make Way For Friends Trading And Gifting In Pokmon Go

The Friends feature will start rolling out to Trainers later this week, allowing you to connect with your real-life friends and keep track of their adventures in Pokémon GO. Youll be able to send them items, earn bonusesand even trade Pokémon!
In order to add a friend in Pokémon GO, you must first ask them to share their Trainer Code with you. To invite a Trainer to become your friend, simply enter their Trainer Code and then send them a request. If they accept, youll become friends, and youll see them in your Friends List.
When you spin a Photo Disc at a PokéStop or Gym, you have a chance of receiving a special Gift. Although you cant open the Gifts you receive from PokéStops, you can send them to a friend on your Friend List. Inside the Gift will be a stash of helpful items, which your friend will receive along with a postcard showing where you picked up your Gift. Gifts can also include a special surprise: an Egg that, when hatched, will contain an Alolan form of a Pokémon originally discovered in the Kanto region!

To unlock upgrades for your Buddy Pokémon, youll need to complete daily activities you can only complete one activity a day, and each one can get you a heart. But, you can swap your Buddy Pokémon up to 20 times a day. That means you can level up 21 Buddy Pokémon at a time.

So it sounds like older Pokémon in your collection, if you trade them, will have a better odds of being a Lucky Pokémon.

How Do I Make Friends In Pokmon Go
The Friend List is accessible from the trainer profile. Click on your avatar in the lower left-hand corner of the screen to open up the profile. From there, you can swipe over to the Friends menu, where youll see a prompt to add a friend.
From there, you can either input someones Trainer Code or copy and share your own. Once you have accepted a request, which youll find both in the notifications menu and in the Friends List, youll automatically become buds.

Pokemon Go Lucky Friends Guide
There are currently five levels of player friendships in Pokemon GO: Good, Great, Ultra, Best, and Lucky. Essentially, once players become friends in-game, they can raise their friendship level by battling each other, completing raids together, trading pokemon, sending gifts, and a few other things. The more friends do these activities, the higher their friendship level will get. To quickly and effectively raise friendship levels, players will need to complete some of the tasks in the list above daily. Further, friendships can only be leveled up once per day.
To become Lucky friends in Pokemon GO, players will first need to become Best friends with another player. Once youve done that, simply continue to send gifts to each other and battle together and eventually youll reach Lucky friend status. If youre just starting out with a new friend, this process will likely take a long time and will require daily dedication, so be patient and try to find a good routine. Its also worth noting that once you become Best friends, youll only have one shot at becoming Lucky friends each day, so dont worry about trying to spam friendship leveling activities multiple times a day.
Pokemon Go: Best Flying
There are a ton of good Flying-types in Pokemon GO, thanks in part to the abundance of Flying-type Legendaries. As one of the few counters to the ever-dominant Fighting-types, and a double resistance to Ground, Flying-types can make great all-rounders, too.
Without competition, Shadow Moltres takes the top spot here. It’s not just the best Flying-type, it’s also just one of the best Pokemon in the game in general. With 19.87 in DPS and 856.19 in TDO, this Pokemon is a terror in the skies. It’s outclassed by Shadow Dragonite, Shadow Zapdos, and Mega Charizard Y, but none of them have a full Flying-type moveset, and Sh. Moltres does, which launches it over their heads.
Inching ahead of Shadow Moltres in DPS but not TDO is Mega Pidgeot, which might not be as powerful, but doesn’t have a double weakness to Rock and isn’t locked behind GO Rocket event exclusivity. Additionally, M-Pidgeot is one of the cheapest Mega Evolutions in the game, both in terms of Mega Energy requirements, but also evolution candy costs. One more bonus is that it boosts other Flying- and Normal-types in raids when it’s on the field. So, while Sh. Moltres might be more powerful, you can get more mileage out of M-Pidgeot in many instances.

What Else You Need To Know About The Friends Feature In Pokmon Go
There are many quirks to the Friends feature you should know about:
- There is a Friends List cap of 400 in Pokémon Go – up from 200 at launch – which is more then enough to start building Friendship Levels with both close friends and several Raid groups.
- If you copy the Trainer Code message received from a Friend and paste it into the Trainer Code box, it’ll just post the code itself. Handy!
- A red dot will appear in the home screen, above the Trainer icon in the bottom left of the screen, to notify you a Gift or Friend request is pending.Notifications for Friends and Gifts can be turned off in the settings, if you don’t want them showing up.

What Are The Benefits Of Each Friendship Level
Reaching Best Friend status with another player isnt just a point of social pride. It also grants players several bonuses, including some impacting another new feature, Trading.
- Good Friends get a three percent damage bonus during Raid battles with friends. They also receive 3,000 experience for reaching this status
- Great Friends get a five percent damage bonus, as well as one extra Premier Ball to use during Raids. They get 10,000 experience upon unlock as well, alongside a 20 percent trading discount on the amount of Stardust required to exchange Pokémon
- Ultra Friends get a seven percent damage bonus and two more Premier Balls for Raids leveling up awards both players 50,000 experience, and also offers a 92 percent discount on the amount of Stardust needed to trade Pokémon with each other
- Best Friends get a 10 percent damage bonus and four added Premier Balls they receive 100,000 experience and a 96 percent discount on the Stardust needed for a Pokémon trade

Is A Lucky Pokmon Like A Shiny Or Is There Any Real Advantage
The Pokémon itself doesnt have a different color, like Shiny Pokémon do, but they do have a special advantage:
It seems that Lucky Pokémon require less Stardust to power up, which means they can reach a higher CP much faster than other Pokémon. Plus, a Lucky Pokémon can be detected by the Pokédex, so you can keep track of them!
More precisely, it seems like Lucky Pokémon only require half the Stardust and Candy to power up as a regular Pokémon, making them much more efficient to power up.

Is This How You Should Use The Buddy System
When Niantic designed the system, Im pretty sure they didnt have this kind of gameplay and strats in mind. In fact, this is not enjoyable at all. Its tedious, repetitive and boring.
However, the Platinum Best Buddy Badge requires you to get 200 Best Buddies. Two. Hundred.
I will crunch the numbers for you. If you play casually with your buddy, youll probably get 6-8 hearts per day on average. If you want to complete all 3 Battles, then youd get ~8-10. Remember that getting your buddy excited without Poffins is not easy, unless you follow a very strict regimen like the one I described. At this pace, it would take you ~1.5 months to get a new Best Buddy , ~1 month if you get all Battle hearts. Getting the Platinum medal would take you ~24 YEARS or ~17 YEARS if you get all the Battle hearts.
Now lets say you train two buddies per day. On average, youd probably get 10-12 hearts per day, 12-14 if you complete all battles > ~15 years . 20 hearts per day? > ~8 years.
Even if you maximize the number of hearts you can get by swapping your buddy 20 times a day, itd still take a lot of time. Thatd mean 4 hearts per buddy . 4 * 20 + 6 = 86 hearts per day > ~2 years. Assuming you get all your battles done, 6 * 20 + 6 = 126 hearts per day > ~1.3 years.
And worst of all, assuming it takes you ~45-60 minutes on average per day to follow the full regimen, this would mean ~25 days of your life petting, feeding and walking buddies just to get the platinum badge. Yikes.
