How Much Is The Cp Boost
When a Buddy reaches the Best Buddy status, part of the best benefits attained here is the CP Boost they get when used in combat. However, the calculations for the CP Boost can get quite tricky at first glance but are thankfully straightforward. Heres how it works:
- CP Boost Equivalent: When a Best Buddy is used in combat, it gets a CP Boost that is the equivalent of two extra Power-Ups, or a single-level up. For instance, if a Best Buddy Pokemon is at Level 50, its CP Boost will put it at a CP equivalent to a Level 51 Pokemon.
- Only Applies To The Buddy: However, its important to understand that this CP Boost only applies if the Pokemon in question is assigned as the Buddy. As such, players cant have a team that theyre Best Buddies with and with all CP Boosts. They need to choose only one Pokemon to receive the said boost.
Pokmon Go Buddy: How To Choose The Very Best
Just like Ash chose Pikachu, Pokémon Go gives you the ability to choose Buddy Pokémon to take with you on your adventures. Sadly, the Buddy Pokémon doesn’t appear on the map with you when you walk around at least not yet! but it does appear with you on the avatar button and on your player screen.
When you walk with your Buddy you get candy that you can use to evolve it, power it up, or both. Walk a Larvitar, get candy you can use to evolve Pupitar and Tyranitar, and power up Tyranitar. Walk Chansey, get candy you can use to evolve and power up Blissey.
You can get a lot more candy from hatching an egg or catching a Pokémon in the wild than you can walking a Pokémon, of course. But you never know when you’ll catch or hatch a specific Pokémon, and some Pokémon can’t be hatched from eggs at all.
So, your Buddy should be a Pokémon you want to evolve, power up, or both, and one that’s rare, so it’s candy is hard to come by any other way. Here are my recommendations!

Pokmon Go Walking Hack On Ios
There are instances when walking might be too taxing or inconvenient, especially for those with disabilities. To compensate for that, you could utilize software like MockGo, which allows you to move in the game without actually moving in real life. This also allows you to catch Pokémon that can be found in hard-to-reach areas such as water and find rare kinds.
However, with pros there are cons to this. First and foremost is that you might have to jailbreak your iOS device, which is something that some people may find uncomfortable doing. This allows you to download the necessary software for your device to make the hack work.
Another thing is that your account may get banned for suspicious activity. Niantic is pretty strict in terms of hacks and exploits so the moment they find you instantly teleport from place to place, they are going to warn you or sometimes ban you immediately.
If you find these risks worth taking, then you can proceed with the hack. The MockGo app is pretty simple to use. As mentioned earlier, you might have to jailbreak your iPhone to use these hacks, but with MockGos, you wouldnt actually need to.
Here are the steps on how you could use MockGo to change your location in Pokémon GO:

How To Play With And Feed Your Buddy In Pokmon Go
Let’s start with the basics. To play with your Buddy in Pokémon Go, make sure you’re first Trainer Level 2 and have a Buddy assigned, then tap the Buddy icon in the lower left corner of the screen, next to your Trainer Profile.
Next, press the Play! button. Your phone camera will then activate. If you are in AR mode, you must find a flat surface. Point towards it until yellow footprints appear, then tap.
If it then says you are too close to your Buddy, back away a step or two, and it should appear.
If you’re struggling, remember you can disable AR mode in the Settings, so the Pokémon will simply appear on the screen.
With the Pokémon visible, you can play by rubbing it. You can also feed it by tapping the Berry icon.
Unlike during the catch phase where berries are simply tapped, on the Buddy screen they must be thrown like a Poké Ball to your Buddy’s mouth. You don’t lose your Berry if you miss however, so keep trying!
Once they are fully fed, they will join you on an Adventure, where they can start earning Hearts for that day…

Back To Basics: What Is A Buddy
Before players understand the intricacies of Buddy CP Boosts in Pokemon Go, it helps to remember how the Buddy System works first. At its core, the game lets players assign a Pokemon as their Buddy Pokemon, essentially a favorite Pokemon that appears beside player avatars as they conduct adventures in the game world.
Players can change their Buddy Pokemon whenever they want to, and Buddy Pokemon can confer various benefits to players depending on how strong their bonds are. Buddy Pokemon can become a Good Buddy until the Best Buddy Rank, with multiple reward options and intricacies along the way. The Best Buddy, in particular, will confer CP Boosts to help Trainers earn the advantage in Pokemon Battles!
How To Make Your Buddy ‘excited’ With Or Without A Poffin In Pokmon Go
When in Adventure mode, performing activities with Buddies increases their mood. The highest level mood, ‘excited’ can also give you benefits for a limited time.
When your buddy is ‘excited’ – as indicated by a cheering icon surrounded by Hearts – then you’ll receive the following benefits:
- Candy distances will be halved
- Your daily Heart cap increases to 20
Getting a Pokémon excited, then, has its perks. To get it excited, there are two methods:
To make a Pokemon ‘excited’, you can either:
- Use Poffin – a shop-only item you can purchase from the shop for 100 Coins – which also fills all feeding heart meters for the day
- Perform enough actions to reach a certain threshold
Though the second one is ‘free’, it’s neither easy or particularly obvious from the outset. You must collect 32 ‘points’ from performing various activities, but you cannot do them at once – each individual activity has a 30 minute cooldown, with the exception of walking.
Here’s how many points you get from each activity :
Some clarifications on the above, thanks to TheTraveller on reddit – you can get multiple Battle points within a half hour if you Battle different ways and Souvenirs, Presents and visiting new Stops have no cooldown, just like walking.
It’s also important to note that, with the introduction of the Season of Celebrations on Tuesday, 1st December, the number of hearts you can earn daily from battling was increased to three.

How Much Candy Do You Get For Walking A Buddy Pokmon
Buddy candy is based on distance. Some Pokémon require you to walk 1 KM, others 3 KM or 5 KM to earn a candy. The distances are roughly but not exactly related to the distance of the Pokémon Eggs they hatch from 2 KM hatches tend to get a candy every 1 KM, 5 KM hatches every 3 KM, and 10 KM hatches every 10 KM, though there are some exceptions.
Here’s how walking a Buddy Pokémon compares to other methods for getting Candy in Pokémon Go:
- 1 Candy per Buddy distance walked.
- 1 Candy per Pokémon transferred to the Professor.
- 3 Candies per base-level Pokémon caught in the wild.
- 6 Candies per base-level Pokémon caught in the wild while using a Pinap Berry.
- 5 Candies per second-level Pokémon caught in the wild.
- 10 Candies per second-level Pokémon caught in the wild while using a Pinap Berry.
- 10 Candies per third-level Pokémon caught in the wild.
- 20 Candies per third-level Pokémon caught in the wild while using a Pinap Berry.
- 5 to 15 Candies per 2 KM Egg hatched.
- 10 to 21 Candies per 5 KM Egg hatched.
- 16 to 32 Candies per 10 KM Egg hatched.
Again, walking a Buddy Pokémon isn’t a fast way to get a lot of Candy but it’s a consistent way to get a steady stream of Candy.
How Do You Evolve Wurmple Into Dustox And Beautifly
Wurmple is like the Caterpie of Gen 3. Its a little bug that only requires 12 candy to evolve into its second stage. Unlike Caterpie, Wurmple has a split second-stage evolution: It can evolve into either Cascoon or Silcoon.
Split evolutions are something weve seen since Gen 1, also with Eevee. Evolve an Eevee and you could get Flareon, Jolteon, or Vaporeon. Picture that, but with only two second-stage possibilities and with each of those possibilities having a third stage evolution.
Important: Unlike Eevee in Gen 1, theres no trainer name trick you can use to guarantee control of at least one of each evolution. Unlike Eevee in Gen 2, theres also no Friendship mechanic and day vs. night trick to guarantee control over all evolutions. With Wurmple, second stage evolutions seem to be totally and completely random.
