Top 3 Pokemon Go Leads In The Ultra League
A good Pokemon GO lead in League battles is a crucial part of any team. They are the first Pokemon thrown into the battle and can affect the rest of the match’s flow. The best Pokemon GO leads make all the difference in the Ultra League.
There are two versions of the Pokemon GO Ultra League: the standard Ultra League and the Premier League. Both versions cap the Pokemon used at 2500 CP. But in the Premier League, Legendary Pokemon are not allowed.
For this list, the standard Ultra League is how the Pokemon GO Leads will be ranked, so Legendary Pokemon can undoubtedly change how the battles are played. However, that doesn’t cut the standard Pokemon out of the best possible selections.
Things To Know About Putting Together A Premier Cup Team In Pokmon Go
Unlike the main three leagues, any and all legendary and mythical Pokémon are banned from the Premier Cup. This means that many favourites, such as Dialga and Giratina, can’t be used in the Premier Cup.
Instead, you’ll have to find new favourites amongst Pokémon like Togekiss that have already become popular, or unexpected ones, such as Tangrowth.
There might also be a CP restriction. This usually depends on the league running alongside it. If you want a starting point, a recommendation is to look at the respective league with the CP restriction – see below for our best team recommendations – and go for creatures that aren’t Mythical or Legendary:
- All Great League recommendations
- All Ultra League recommendations
- All Master League recommendations – or see the section below
Of course, the meta will change without Mythical or Legendaries – but know the choices above should still serve you well if you want to jump in and start experimenting.
If you want another suggestion, starter Pokémon with Community Day moves also become a good choice again when building a Premier Cup team, because the exclusive moves they know help them replace the powerful legendary and mythical Pokémon that are now unavailable.

Pidgeot Politoed And Bastiodon
If youve been waiting since Season 8 to try out Pidgeot, the Pokémon team has now made it possible for all trainers to use it. We recommend giving it a try in the Lead role. You want to bring Politoed in the Switch role and then Bastiodon in the Closer role for backup.
- Pidgeot: Gust , feather dance, and brave bird
- Politoed: Mud shot , weather ball , and earthquake
- Bastiodon: Smack down , stone edge, and flamethrower

Altaria Has Great Type Coverage
Altaria is a Dragon and Flying type Pokemon. At Level 50, its Max CP is 2,266, its Attack is 141, its Defense is 201, and its Stamina is 181. Altaria evolves from Swablu with 400 Candy. Its best Quick move is Dragon Breath . It has three great choices for Charge moves: Sky Attack , Dragon Pulse , and Dazzling Gleam .
It is not only bulky but strong in the Great League. Altaria has fantastic resistances, so the only thing trainers should watch out for are Ice type moves, which pose a huge threat.

How Are Pokemon Go Pvp Tier Lists Evaluated
Before you go through our carefully calculated great, ultra, and master league Pokemon Go tier list, you should know some basics. Ideally, the following parameters are considered while placing any Pokemon in a tier list.
Moves: The most important factor is the amount of damage any move can do. For instance, some moves like thunderbolt are more powerful than others.
Pokemon type: The type of Pokemon also plays a vital role. You might already know that some Pokemon types can easily be countered while others have fewer counters.
Updates: Niantic keeps updating Pokemon levels to have a balanced Pokemon Go PvP tier list. Thatâs why the current nerf or buff on any Pokemon would change their position in the list.
CP levels: Since the three leagues have CP limits, the overall CP value of any Pokemon is also vital to place them in a tier list.

Master League: 35 / 5
Swampert’s relatively low max CP prevents it from maintaining its dominance from the other two formats. While its incredibly powerful moveset gives it some wins against common Steel-types in both Open Format and Premier versions of Masters, its general lack of stats and poor matchups against some incredibly meta Pokémon leaves the mudboi outclassed.

Lick + Body Slam And Superpower Or Earthquake
Lick is Snorlax’s only real option with regards to its fast moves.;Zen Headbutt is really bad.
Body Slam is pretty much a requirement in order to use Snorlax for PvP. Without it;Snorlax is unable to pressure shields effectively, and has no real options to shield-bait. Your secondary charged move of choice is going to depend on the format.;Superpower;is at its most notable in formats heavy with Steel-types , though the Fighting-type coverage is very often relevant.;Earthquake;is meaningfully slower, but it’s a solid nuke where needed, and it helps solidify a strong matchup against Giratina .;Outrage;and;Skull Bash;are generally considered outclassed, though they have seen experimentation and can catch your opponents by surprise.

The first is the Great League Remix, which runs during the first Great League from Monday, 30th August to Monday, 13th September. For this cup, you’ll be unable to select the Pokémon which were most used in the Great League by players at the Ace Rank or above last season.
The second special Cup is the Ultra League Remix, which, like the Great League Remix, bans a selection of Pokémon that were most used in the Ultra League by players with the Ace Rank or above last season. You’ll be able to compete in the Ultra League Remix from Monday, 13th September to Monday, 27th September.
Next is the Master League Classic which runs during the first dedicated Master League period for Season 9 – Monday, 27th September to Monday, 11th October.
If you want to partake in this league you must ensure none of the Pokémon in your team have been powered up with Candy XL.
The Little Jungle Cup is the first new special cup for Season 9 and will run from Monday, 27th September to Monday, 11th October.
For this cup you’re only allowed to use bug, dark, electric, flying, grass, ground and poison-type Pokémon or are a combination of these types. The Pokémon you choose must meet or be beneath the CP limit of 500 and can evolve. It’s important to note, however, that you can’t use Shuckle or Smeargle.

How Do You Actually Play Out The Pvp Battles In Pokmon Go
In the trainer PVP fights, two players with three Pokémon each compete which is a big change from the typical Pokémon games, which normally allow both sides to have six Pokémon in their group. Players can adjust their battle group early and then select it after the battle begins. Then the players select the Pokémon to use for the fight and send it out to fight each other. Battles are not turn-based! Players can switch between their three Pokémon as they wish, although a decay timer prevents them from constantly switching between their groups.
The Ultra League Remix Tier List In Pokmon Go Season 9 September 2021
The Ultra League Remix works a little bit differently than the original Ultra League in Pokémon Go. A majority of the rules still apply, such as only using Pokémon that do not exceed the 2,500 CP requirement, and you need to use a team of three, but there are 10 Pokémon that have been banned from this division. Because youre going to have fewer options, youre going to be forced to changes things up. Here are some of the best Pokémon that you can select among the Ultra League Remix in Pokémon Go during September 2021.
When picking a complete team to use in a Battle League fight, you want to consider your options of using a Lead, a Switch, and a Closer Pokémon.

Mud Shot + Hydro Cannon* And Earthquake Or Sludge Wave
Mud Shot offers the highest energy generation in the game at the cost of low damage output. Due to how powerful Swampert’s charge moves are, this move is recommended. Water Gun offers more damage output and is meant more for general coverage, but is not recommended due to its inferior energy generation.;
Hydro Cannon is a move limited to specific events such as Community Day, as well as Elite TMs, and is mandatory due to its lesser energy cost and very high Damage Per Energy value. It also completely blows Surf out of the water. Earthquake;and Sludge Wave;are both viable options, with Earthquake giving more power against Steel-types and Sludge Wave letting you hit Fairy-types harder.
Bastiodon Is Another Defensive Superstar
Bastiodon is a dual Ground/Steel type Pokemon. At Level 50, it has a Max CP of 1,741, an Attack of 94, a Defense of 286, and a Stamina of 155. Bastiodon evolves from Shieldon with 50 Candy. The best Quick move for Bastiodon is Smack Down , and the best Charge moves are Stone Edge and Flamethrower .
It is obviously used as a wall in Great League battles, due to the ridiculously high defense. The only way Bastiodon goes down is from Fighting, Ground, Water, and Fire type moves. It may be slow, but Bastiodon is pretty decent offensively and has decent coverage with its attacks.

Bubble Or Hex + Bubble Beam And Shadow Ball Or Ice Beam
Both fast moves are similar in performance;;Bubble offers slightly stronger Water-type coverage, while Hex sports slightly faster energy gains with Ghost-type coverage. Either moveset can be viable.
Bubble Beam;costs less energy than other options, making it useful for baiting shields, in addition to its debuff utility. Shadow Ball benefits from STAB to deal significant damage, which is largely unresisted against most of the meta. Ice Beam offers useful coverage, including against Jellicent’s weakness to Grass-types, but its damage output is less impressive.;
Using The Pokemon Rankings
In the top-level rankings, you’ll see a score for each Pokemon. This score is an overall performance number from 0 to 100, where 100 is the best Pokemon in that league and category. It is derived from simulating every possible matchup, with each Pokemon’s most used moveset . Use this score to compare overall performance between Pokemon; for example, the difference between the #1 and #50 Pokemon may not be the same as the difference between the #50 and #100 Pokemon. This score also allows you to see the parity in different leagues and categories.
Trainer Battles feature a wide variety of scenarios, especially involving shields. In order to give a fuller picture, our overall rankings are derived from additional sets of rankings, where battles are simulated with different roles in mind. You can explore rankings for each of the following categories:
Different Pokemon may succeed in different scenarios, so use these categories to help determine when a particular Pokemon would be the most valuable.
Within each ranking, you’ll see four separate detail sections:
- Fast Moves – Which Fast Moves the Pokemon uses most in the league and category.
- Charged Moves – Which Charged Moves the Pokemon uses most in the league and category.
- Key Wins – Which battles the Pokemon performs best in, weighed by the opponent’s overall score.
- Key Counters – Which significant opponents perform best against the Pokemon.

How To Battle In Pokmon Gos Great League
The newest Special Research storyline in Pokémon GO, A Seven-Colored Shadow, has a particular challenge for its third step: earning a Charge TM by battling another Trainer in the Great League. Because its the lowest rung, the Great League is sometimes forgotten by enthusiasts for the game, but if you want to finish that storyline, youre gonna have to downsize a bit. Heres how to battle in Pokémon GOs Great League.
Unlike the Master League, where you can use any Pokémon you want regardless of their CP, the Great League has a hard cap of 1,500 CP on all entered Pokémon. In theory, this is to keep the League low-level and make it easier for newer players to take the games PvP features for a spin. If youre a seasoned player, though, it becomes something of a puzzle: whats the strongest team of Pokémon you can employ without going over the limit? Solving that puzzle is the key to victory in the Great League. Technically, you dont actually have to win to earn the Charge TM for the storyline, but hey, if were gonna do this, were going all the way with it.
