Jesse James And Meowth Have Blasted Off Again

How to Beat Leader Sierra in Pokemon GO | New Leader Sierra Counters In May 2021

Jesse and James are no longer available to challenge, but they are sure to return at some point in the future. Their previous line ups weren’t particularly difficult to beat, especially since neither used their shields.

Previously, Jesse’s lineup included:

  • Scyther: a Bug and Flying type, Scyther has several weaknesses, including Fire, Flying, Electric, and Ice, but it’s quad weakness to Rock is the one you’ll want to exploit. Aggron, Rampardos, Rhyperior, Golem, Terrakion, or Tyranitar all work really well here.
  • Ekans: a Poison type, Ekans is weak against Ground and Psychic types. However, Ekans is pretty weak. Mewtwo, Alakazm, or Gardevoir could all work well here. Alternatively, you could put in Metagross or whatever Pokémon you plan to use against Stantler, in order to build up their charged attack.
  • Stantler: as a Normal type, Stantler’s only weakness is Fighting types. However, because of its potential moveset, Steel and Rock types are your best bet here. Metagross, Regirock, Jirachi, or Cobalion are all great choices here.

After beating Jesse, James’ lineup included:

Upon beating Jesse, you could catch a Shadow Scyther with the potential to be Shiny, and upon beating James, you could catch a Shadow Pinsir with the potential to be Shiny.

Note: Jesse and James fulfill the requirements for beating two Team GO Rocket Grunts in Research tasks.

What Is Team Go Rocket

Team GO Rocket is the current incarnation of the criminal organization from the original Pokémon games and shows. Led by Giovanni, Team Rocket has always been lurking in the shadows of the Pokémon world, stealing any Pokémon they can get their hands on, along with all the Poké Balls and Pokémon related technology possible. They’re the bad guys. Worse even, as Team GO Rocket, they’ve invaded the world of Pokémon Go along with Shadow Pokémon, formerly good Pokémon who have been corrupted through a mysterious technique that leaves them in constant pain, forced to assist in Team GO Rocket’s criminal endeavors.

Explore The Grand Underground

The Grand Underground is one of the games new features compared to its 2006 predecessor. Its much the same as the Underground in the original Diamond and Pearl, except with a variety of new Pokemon to encounter that isnt native to Sinnoh.

Fossils, evolution stones, and Mysterious Shards can all be found in the Grand Underground. All of these items are valuable because fossils can be donated to the museum in Oreburgh City, where you can obtain all of the fossil Pokemon, albeit with some version-specific variants.

The evolution stones, on the other hand, can be useful for evolving Eevee, Growlithe, and other Pokémon that require such goods. Finally, in order to trade for slates at Ramanas Park, Mysterious Shards are required.

How To Complete Your Pokedex In Pokemon Bdsp

While exploring the Sinnoh area, you can obtain two Pokedex. The Sinnoh Dex is the first one you obtain early in the game. Its the most crucial one to complete because it unlocks a lot more content in the post-game.

Youll need to fill out 150 entries . You dont have to capture and possess all 150 Pokémon in this Pokedex, thankfully. All you have to do is come across a Pokemon for the first time and get their first-time entry. You should not skip any trainer battles while you gather gym badges and make your way to the Elite Four to quickly unlock this.

As a result, the trainers will have a wide variety of Pokemon to choose from, all of which will count towards these entries. Your adversaries, such as Lucas/Dawn, and Barry, will assist you in filling out the beginning Pokemon entries.

If youre playing Pokemon Shining Pearl and are missing Dialgas entry, you can see the Elder in Celestic Town to get it. Shell tell you about another entity that lived on Mt. Coronet and show you an image of Dialga. Unless youre on Brilliant Diamond, in which case shell show you Palkia instead.

The following are some other challenging entries that individuals may have overlooked, along with their locations:

Counter To Third Round

Shadow Drapion: Drapion is again only vulnerable to ground types. Player can use the same Pokémons used to beat Ampharos to counter Drapion. Shadow Houndoom: Houndoom is weak against water, fighting, rock, and ground types. Kingler, Terrakion, Kyogre, Rampardos, and Conkeldurr will easily beat him. Shadow Kingdra: Kingdra succumbs to fairy and dragon types. But if the Kingdra has dragon types moves, it can cause some problems. The best choices to counter and beat it are Palkia, Rayquaza, Gardevoir, Haxorus, and Dragonite.

Pokemon Go: Countering Sierra’s Pokemon

Much like the player, Sierra is only capable of bringing three Pokemon into battle in Pokemon GO. However, her pool of available Pokemon is larger, and so her second and third Pokemon in rotation can change based on random chance. In total, her Pokemon pool is as follows:

  • 1st Pokemon – Carvanha
  • 2nd Pokemon – Mismagius , Hippowdon , Porygon-Z
  • 3rd Pokemon – Houndoom , Flygon , Walrein

Against Carvanha, players will want to focus on using Pokemon with Bug, Electric, Fairy, Fighting and Grass-Type moves. Any of these will provide a super effective 160% damage increase against it. For example, trainers could use:

  • Electivire using Thunder Shock and Wild Charge
  • Machamp using Karate Chop and Dynamic Punch
  • Lucario using Counter and Aura Sphere
  • Breloom using Counter and Dynamic Punch or Counter and Grass Knot

Once Carvanha has fallen, Sierra will bring out either Mismagius, Hippowdon, or Porygon-Z. Their weaknesses are as follows:

  • Mismagius – Weak against Dark and Ghost-Type attacks.
  • Hippowdown – Weak against Water, Grass, and Ice-Type attacks.
  • Porygon-Z – Weak against Fighting-Type attacks.

Against Mismagius, savvy Pokemon GO trainers can try Pokemon such as:

  • Zoroark using Snarl and Foul Play
  • Chandelure using Hex and Shadow Ball
  • Gengar using Lick and Shadow Ball

Against Hippowdon, good matchups include:

To beat Porygon-Z, things are more straightforward:

With her second Pokemon beaten, Sierra will resort to either Houndoom, Flygon or Walrein. Their weaknesses are:

Best Groundbull Counters In Pokemon Go

Steel and Poison are both moves that cause Groundbull to have a seriously bad day, so have a suped-up Pokemon with those moves to get through this one in one piece. Victreebell is a great one to pick but you can also reuse Machamp here to do some fast and deadly damage in good time. Mewtwo is another that can beat Groundbull fairly easily if you have one powerful enough in your line-up.

Earning Or Purchasing Rocket Radars To Challenge Team Go Rocket

After you’ve constructed your first Rocket Radar, additional Rocket Radar can be purchased in the PokéShop for 200 PokéCoins each. While $2 worth of PokéCoins might seem like a small amount to pay for a Rocket Radar, previous Community Days have featured paid special research that included a Rocket Radar among the generous rewards for only $1 and other events have rewarded Rocket Radars as well. You will still need to track down the right Executives to battle, but if you don’t have to fight your way through several grunts each time, this could make completing the Team GO Rocket Special Research a little more doable.

How To Beat Sierra In Pokmon Go

Like Arlo and Cliff, Sierra has a designated partner Pokémon that shell always throw out first, followed by two rounds of one of three random Pokémon. Sierras team lineup for Pokémon GO is as follows:

  • Phase 1: Shadow Nidoran
  • Phase 2: Shadow Beedrill, Shadow Vileplume, or Shadow Slowbro
  • Phase 3: Shadow Houndoom, Shadow Marowak, or Shadow Nidoqueen

Starting with Nidoran, any decent Ground or Psychic type will make short work of it. Shadow status aside, its not a very strong Pokémon, so even without type superiority, its more just a hurdle to get over than anything. It does know Bite, though, so you might want to play it safe and use a Ground type like Garchomp or Rhyperior.

For phase 2, weve got Beedrill, a Bug/Poison type, Vileplume, a Grass/Poison type, and Slowbro, a Water/Psychic type. Taking the cross-section of type weaknesses into account here, your best bet would probably be a strong Flying type in order to get superiority over Beedrill and Vileplume. A Dark/Flying type like Yveltal would be an excellent choice here, as itll provide cover on those two Pokémon as well as Dark moves for Slowbro. Speaking of Slowbro, its got a lot of health and high defense, so good DPS is a necessity here to keep the fight from dragging too long.

Cliff Counters And Line

Here are the possible line ups for Cliff in Pokémon Go, as of May 2021.

Remember – the first Pokémon is one that, if you defeat him, you’ll be given the chance to catch, while the others are randomly selected:

First Pokémon
Hariyama Torterra

When planning your counters against Cliff, you’ll want to start your team with a fire or flying-type Pokémon. This choice depends on whether Cliff is using either Poliwrath or Hariyama as his second Pokémon, because, if he is, then your first Pokémon could cause some additional damage to them after defeating Seedot. Rayquaza, Honchrow or Moltres are all ideal flying-type counters, with Moltres having the additional bonus of also being a fire-type, which makes it ideal for defeating Seedot.

If you decide to go down the fire-type route though, but don’t have a Moltres, then Darmanitan or Entei are also good choices.

When it comes down to Cliff’s final choice, then a strong bug-type is the way to go as all three of his choices share it as a common weakness. This makes Scizor, Pinsir and Yanmega all excellent choices.

It’s important to note that Tyranitar is especially weak to fighting-types, such as Lucario, Conkeldurr and Machamp good choices, while Torterra can be easily defeated by ice-type Pokémon, like Mamoswine, Weavile or Glaceon.
