How Does Pokmon Home Benefit Pokmon Sword And Shield
Using Pokémon Home, you can transfer Pokémon that were previously unavailable in the Switch game into to Sword and Shield. Those include Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Litten, Rowlet, and Popplio as well as their evolutions plus Mewtwo, Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Cobalion, Terrakion, Virizion, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Keldeo, Cosmog, Cosmoem, Solgaleo, Lunala, Necrozma, Marshadow, Zeraora, Meltan, and Melmeta, as well.
You can also transfer Alolan and Kantonian forms of existing Pokémon to Sword and Shield now.
What Pokmon Games Can I Use With Pokmon Home
As you can see above, Pokémon HOME is fully compatible with Pokémon Sword and Shield – you can transfer your Pokémon to and from the app at will.
You can also transfer Pokémon between Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee! via Pokémon HOME, and transfer compatible Pokémon to from those games to Sword and Shield, although only monsters that are part of Pokémon Sword and Shield’s Galar Pokédex . Additionally, once they’re in Sword or Shield, they cannot then be transferred back to Let’s Go, Pikachu or Eevee.
Once transferred to Pokémon HOME, your Pokémon will be listed in the National Pokédex . Remember, Pokémon Sword and Shield has it’s own Pokédex and is not compatible with every single Pokémon, although with the additional Pokémon from the Expansion Passes, Sword and Shield will support over 600 Pokémon.
It is not currently possible to transfer Pokémon from Pokémon GO to Pokémon HOME, although the feature is coming. It should be noted that transferred Pokémon cannot be moved back to Pokémon GO once they have been moved to Pokémon HOME.
For previous generation games, all Pokémon must be transferred via Pokémon Bank on 3DS. While it is possible to transfer Gen 1 and Gen 2 Pokémon from the 3DS Virtual Console releases of the original Game Boy games , it is not possible to move Pokémon from original Game Boy cartridges to Pokémon HOME.

Exchange Pokemon Home Points For Battle Points
Points can be earned by transferring Pokemon into HOME and leaving them there, but weâre unsure of the exact math that determines how many points youâll get for what at this moment. We got 3,000 points for transferring our first Pokemon into HOME from Bank.
Select the Points icon and then select the game you want to send your Battle Points to. You need 30 Pokemon HOME Points to get 1 Battle Point.
You can use Battle Points at the BP shop to buy rare and valuable items. You can even use them to get Nature changing mints. You can turn BP into items at the Battle Tower.
How Much Does It Cost To Transfer Pokmon

If a Pokémon would cost more than the maximum 10,000 energy to transfer for instance, a shiny CP 2400 mythical Pokémon it counts as using all of your energy but may still be transferred.
Energy takes time to recharge , or you can immediately charge it with PokéCoins. This costs a Coin per ten energy and your maximum energy is 10,000. So it will cost 1,000 PokéCoins to fully recharge your Transporter.

Is Pokemon Bank Free 2020
In order to allow users to capture Pokémon from their 3DS games without having to subscribe to the Pokémon Bank until March 12th, 2020, the Pokémon Bank and Poké Transporter will be made accessible for free until that date. You will, however, require a Premium Home subscription in order to transfer them from Bank to Pokémon Home.
How To Trade In Brilliant Diamond And Shining Pearl
Until Pokémon HOME releases, players will only be able to trade with each other using Diamond and Pearl’s in-game trading options, located on the top floor of Pokémon Centers. Note that players must have a Nintendo Switch Online subscription in order to participate in any online activity. Here are the ways you can trade:

Transferring Pokémon from Switch games are the easiest of all transfer options available, and requires just the use of Pokémon Home software on Switch.
Load up Home on Switch and on the main Pokémon Home menu there are two main options – Pokémon and Pokédex.
Selecting ‘Pokémon’ will display your save files from any local Switch games, as well as your online Pokémon Home box.
Choose a save file to reveal two boxes side-by-side – Pokémon Home on the left, and your Pokémon Sword and Shield or Let’s Go Pokémon on the right. Simply drag and drop your Pokémon, then once done, press the + button to save your settings.

Will Pokmon Home Work With Future Pokmon Games
You’d hope so, wouldn’t you? Although from past experience perhaps we can expect an entirely new system that will unify the previous systems in a totally new and even more complicated manner.

Can I Use Pokmon Home To Transfer My Original Gen 1 And 2 Pokmon From Pokmon Red / Blue / Yellow / Gold / Silver / Crystal On Game Boy To Pokmon Sword And Shield
Unfortunately, no. The Pokémon you first caught two decades ago are forever trapped on those original Game Boy cartridges or on Pokémon Stadium. Of course, using various shady tactics and compromised hardware, enterprising Poké Trainers have been known to dump their original saves from the Game Boy carts, upload them to the 3DS Virtual Console versions of Pokémon Red and Blue, and then move those to Pokémon Bank, but we shall not delve into those dark arts here.
No, it seems that ‘Stinkypoo’ the Pikachu, ‘Wormy’ the Weedle and ‘Metapoo’ the Metapod will die on our Game Boy carts along with the battery. Probably for the best, to be honest.
Pokmon Home: How To Transfer To Pokmon Sword And Shield
First, make sure you have Pokémon HOME set up on your Nintendo Switch. If you need help with that, we have a full guide on how to sign up for Pokémon HOME.
Press A to get past the start screen.
This screen will appear. Select Pokémon.
Choose the game you want to transfer to.
Select Yes
Your Pokémon Boxes will appear. Select the Pokémon you wish to transfer.
Note that you can transfer both into or out of Pokémon HOME at this point. If the Pokémon cannot be transferred to Sword or Shield, a red circle with a line through it will appear on the top right side of the Pokémon.
Deposit the Pokémon into one of your Boxes.
When you’re done selecting Pokémon, press the + button to exit.
Select Save changes and exit.
Press A when the screen reads “Your Boxes have been saved!” You’ve completed the transfer. Now you can either use those Pokémon in Sword or Shield or interact with them in Pokémon HOME.
Keep in mind that if you’re trying to transfer Pokémon from older Pokémon games like Let’s Go, Pikachu! or earlier titles via Pokémon Bank, you might not be able to bring every Pokémon into Sword and Shield. Only Pokémon that are already available in the Galar Regional Pokedex, those that arrived in the DLC updates, and a handful of legendaries and other special Pokémon can be brought forward. However, any Pokémon that is available in Sword and Shield can be stored in Pokémon HOME.

How To Transfer Pokemon From Go To Sword & Shield
It’s important to mention that only Pokemon from the first generation are currently allowed to be transferred from Pokemon Go. This also includes the Pokemon’s Galarian form if the original is from the first generation. The player will need a copy of Pokemon Go, Pokemon Home, Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu or Eevee, and a copy of Pokemon Sword or Shield. Here’s how players can do it.
- Step 1: Reach Fuchsia City in Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee or Pikachu.
- Step 2: Head into the Safari Zone. This will unlock the ability to transfer over Pokemon from Pokemon Go.
- Step 3: Head into the menu and navigate to the Pokemon Go section to connect them.
- Step 4: Open Pokemon Go then head to the settings and connect to your Nintendo Switch.
- Step 5: Speak to the person in the Safari Zone to select which Pokemon to bring over. Confirm on both the phone and Switch.
- Step 6: Play a small mini-game to capture them all.
- Step 7: Boot up Pokemon Home and connect with Pokemon Let’s Go.
