Pokemon Go October 2020 Field Research Tasks And Rewards
This year, in Pokemon GO, October will be a month full of events, new Field Research tasks, and a new Research Breakthrough encounter.
Each time you complete the 7 days of Field Research tasks, you will encounter the Pokemon called Shedinja. There is also a big chance that this encounter will have a Shiny Shedinja, which will give you a motivation to keep on completing more Field Research tasks.
It is known by now that you get tasks through spinning PokeStops. There is also a bonus one given by the game itself. Right now, there isnt any limit on how many tasks you can complete per day, but this does not matter because you only get one stamp per day.
Once you obtain seven stamps, you will have a Research Breakthrough, which will grant you an encounter with Shedinja.

Everything Else You Need To Know About The Secrets Of The Jungle Event In Pokmon Go
The main attraction of the Secrets of the Jungle event in Pokémon Go is the release of the Search for Zarude special research quest. If you complete this special research quest, you’ll be able to add Zarude – a mythical Pokémon from Gen 8 and one of the stars of the Secrets of the Jungle movie – to your Pokédex.
There is, however, a catch – Search for Zarude can only be unlocked during the Secrets of the Jungle event. This means you must play Pokémon Go at least once during this event, because, if you don’t, you won’t be able to catch Zarude.
Thankfully, once you’ve unlocked Zarude, you’ll have it forever, so you don’t need to rush to complete it.
Jessie and James will also be spreading double trouble from their Meowth balloon from the start of the event till Friday, 15th October at 10am . Make sure you stop by to say hello!
Caterpie, Oddish, Diglett, Mankey, Hoothoot, Aipom, Larvitar, Combee, Roggenrola, Drilbur, Cottonee and Dwebble – all Pokémon connected to the Secrets of the Jungle movie – will be appearing more frequently in the wild. Explorer Pikachu is also back in full costume and you might even be able to catch a shiny one!
Finally, the line up for raids is getting a shake up for this event. For one-star raids, you’ll be able to battle Explorer Pikachu, Larvitar, Roggenrola, Foongus and Rufflet. Meanwhile, in three-star raids, you can fight Lickitung, Chansey, Pinsir, Ludicolo and Flygon.

Typically, you can receive Field Research tasks by spinning the Photo Disc at PokeStops. The tasks you receive will be randomly drawn from a larger pool, which is refreshed at the start of every month. You can see October’s Field Research tasks as well as their potential rewards, as compiled by The Silph Road, below.
Pokemon Go Field Research Quests
Field Research Quests are one of the key cornerstones of the game.
If you’re new to the game or joining again after a length stint away, then lets recap how these Field Research Quests work and why they’re so important.
In Pokemon Go players spin PokeStops and in return, collect field research quests from Professor Willow.
These are completely random and the quest for each PokeStop changes every 24 hours.
Completing field research earns rewards for players. This could be anything from Pokeballs to random Pokemon encounters. It all depends on the research task you complete.
Naturally, Pokemon encounters are most popular, especially when the Pokemon available is more rare.
Complete Field Research Quests and you’ll also earn a stamp. Collect seven stamps and you’ll unlock an additional field research breakthrough. Normally this means a chance to capture an extra special Pokemon with better rewards to boot.
And that’s it. You’re all set to go complete some Pokemon Go Field Research.

How Pokemon Go Field Research Works
If you’re new to the world of Pokemon Go, Field Research is essentially a quest that you can obtain. The tasks you’re set can range from things like “Catch 10 Pokemon” – which is clearly very easy – to “Make 3 Excellent throws in a row”, which is much more difficult. The rewards you earn vary from one task to another, and we have the complete list here.
To obtain Field Research in Pokemon Go, you simply have to spin a Poke Stop. You can hold up to three Field Research tasks at any one time, and to earn the Research Breakthrough, you need to complete seven Field Research tasks. You can only progress through the Research Breakthrough once per day though, so to maximise your efforts, you should only be redeeming the reward for one Field Research task per day.
Accessing The Field Research Menu
To get to your Field Research Menu, tap on the circular icon with binoculars in the bottom right corner of the screen. You’ll automatically be brought to the Field Research and you can swipe to the right-hand menu to see special, long research quests or swipe to the left-hand menu to see event-related research, your Pokemon in Gyms, and special boosts.

What Is Special Research
Special Research are tasks that are typically story-based or tied to an in-game celebration. Players who log in during events such as Go Fest or Valentines Day will get a set of unique tasks and objectives.
While Field Research tasks are obtained at random, these limited-time quests are the same for all players, and will often lead to encounters with Mythical Pokemon such as Mewtwo or Rayquaza. Its a very similar concept to Field Research, except with bigger rewards.

These tasks will be switched out starting on December 24th. As trainers look towards 2021, they have the upcoming Johto Tour to look forward to. While these Field Research tasks provide trainers with Johto Pokémon encounters like Swinub, that event will also offer the chance to capture all of their Shiny forms. Similar to the Pokémon Go Kanto Tour event that happened last year, this one will be a celebration of all things Johto. Until then, the second half of the holiday event will keep players occupied.

Are There Any Additional Rewards Associated With January 2022s Research Breakthrough Encounter
Somewhat. Niantic initially planned that each Research Breakthrough encounter in January 2022 would also reward Trainers with Steelix Mega Energy. Unfortunately, ue to an unforeseen issue, this reward distribution will not be handled this way. Instead, Trainers can earn up to 200 Steelix Mega Energy throughout January via a special Timed Research task .
The task is to Catch 7 Pokémon and the reward is 25 Steelix Mega Energy . This can be repeated up to 4 times from Saturday, January 1st, 2022 at 12:00 a.m. to Monday, January 31st, 2022, at 11:59 p.m. .
