Using Stardust To Trade
Trading Pokémon with friends also costs Stardust, with Legendary and new Pokémon costing more. As you rank up your friendship, the Stardust cost of the trades decreases.
Stardust trade costs vary, depending on what youre trading. Trading a Legendary or Shiny Pokémon that your friend doesnt have yet can cost up to 1,000,000 Stardust. The trade cost decreases to 800,000 for Great Friends, 80,000 for Ultra Friends, and 40,000 for Best Friends.

Initially there were rumors indicating that Evolution Items were guaranteed rewards for 7-day Pokestop streaks, but that has been discredited. Evolution items are incredibly rare and have less than a 1% chance of being found at Pokestops.
However, as of an app update in late March 2017 you are now guaranteed an Evolution Item for a 7-day Pokestop streak.

A Pokmon Master’s Guide: Collecting Stardust
Joseph has been playing Pokemon Go since 2016, and been a fan of the Pokemon series since Pokemon Red and Blue.
Since the start of Pokémon GO, stardust has been a crucial resource to collect. Originally, it was only used as one of two items needed to level up your Pokémon . Nowadays, not only is it still used for that, but also for purifying Shadow Pokémon, teaching a second charge move, and as the cost for trading.
As stardust has gained more uses trainers have also gained more ways to earn this resource. In the early days, the only ways to obtain stardust was from catching Pokémon and hatching eggs. You can still gain stardust from those two methods listed, but now you can also collect it from:
- Daily Catch Streaks
- Beating Team Leaders or other Trainers
- Beating Rocket Grunts/Leaders/Giovanni
- Feeding berries to Pokémon in Gyms
- As a reward for a win streak in GO Battle League
- As a set completion reward in GO Battle League
- As a rank-up reward in GO Battle League
- Completing Researches and Special Researches that give stardust
- Achieving a Research Breakthrough
- Adventure Sync
- Occasionally from Gifts
The amount of stardust you receive from each of these activities is different, and Ill get into each one throughout this guide, but as you can see Niantic has made the stardust grind much less tedious and much easier for all of its trainers. However, it is still very easy to run out of stardust so the grind for it never stops.

How To Prepare For The Kanto Tour Event In Pokemon Go
Here is what players should do to prepare for the Kanto Tour event in Pokemon Go.
- Make a List: Create a strong list of the Pokemon you are missing from the Kanto region. As the day goes by, remove Pokemon from the list as you capture them to keep track.
- Shiny Pokemon: Create another list of specific Shiny Pokemon you want to capture. While it will be hard to capture all of them, maybe a specific few will make the day a bit easier.
- Use Star Pieces and Lucky Eggs: These will increase the amount of Stardust and EXP players will get. Since players will be capturing tons of Pokemon, these numbers will start to add up.
- Understand each version: Red version comes along with Ekans, Oddish, Mankey, Growlithe, Scyther, and Electabuzz while Green Version brings along Sandshrew, Vulpix, Meowth, Bellsprout, Magmar, and Pinsir. Select the one that better suits what you need.
- Purchase Raid Passes: Zapdos, Articuno, Moltres, and Mewtwo will be returning to the raid battles.
This is a great way for players to experience the first generation Pokemon if they joined much later into the game’s life. The Pokemon series changed the world when it released Pokemon Go back in 2016. The game continues to host tons of events for its players and that won’t change with the rest of 2021. More tour events will likely occur throughout the year.
Pokemon Go is available now on iOS and Android.

Pokemon Go New Appraisal System Chart And Guide Plus A Glitch
Theres a new set of updates in the mix today for Pokemon GO, and weve got a full rundown here for you including a chart for the new Appraisal System! The Appraisal System Update for July 2019 changes the way we use the game to gain deeper insight into each Pokemon. Since the beginning of Pokemon GO, thereve been 3rd-party apps thatve gone the extra mile in identifying IV numbers in Pokemon, thereby showing their literal range and spot in that range. Finally, three years later, Niantic just baked that functionality into the game.
Niantics newly-updated Appraisal System Update requires the same of the end player as the original. All you need to do is open up a single Pokemon and tap the three-line button in the lower right-hand corner. This button shows several options, one of which is Appraise! Tap Appraise and your Team Leader will tell you whats up.

Skill Bars: Attack Defense Hp
The new Appraisal System includes a set of three bars. Theres Attack, Defense, and HP . Each of the three categories includes a bar with three sections.
The three sections are further divided into five levels, giving you a total of 15 levels for any one of the three categories of skill in which your Pokemon can be ranked. Look to the following example and see how well my Wheezing fares:
My Wheezing is a pathetic example of a fighting Pokemon, but he excels at having one massive amount of hit points. Hes got mass going for him, to be sure. Both his Attack and his Defense are at 7, and his HP is at 15.
My Snorlax is just about as perfect as a Snorlax can get. She has full attack, full defense, full HP, and a three-star rating. The star ratings each have a hidden range, starting with 100%.
The Best Way To Get More Stardust In Pokmon Go
There are several ways to get more Stardust in Pokémon Go, but the quickest and easiest way to do so is through catching Pokémon.
Starting with the February Gen 2 update, you get more Stardust the higher in the evolution chain the wild Pokémon is:
- First in evolution chain – 100 Stardust, 3 Candy
- Second in evolution chain – 300 Stardust, 5 Candy
- Third in evolution chain – 500 Stardust, 10 Candy
Whatever creature’s you’re catching, with the relative ease you can catch Pokémon in city centres and any populated area, getting out there and catching is by far your best option.
Aim for low-level areas to catch the weaker, more common Pokémon – they’re the easiest to get a hold of, and the quickest, and so grinding through a field of Pidgeys, Zubats and Rattatas is your safest bet. You’ll also want to think about ways to find Pokémon faster, such as dropping lures and incense, so that you can get the very most out of a quick grind session.
If you think about the numbers, it’s possible to catch around one Pokémon a minute when really trying – at 100 Stardust per Pokémon, that’s 3,000 Stardust in half an hour’s catching, which isn’t bad.
It’s also worth remembering to combine any Stardust hunts with seasonal events that may increase drops and encounter rates, such as the Thanksgiving update that doubled all Stardust drops for a whole week.

Can You Get Stardust In Pokmon Go From Research
Field Research tasks require you to do things like catch certain Pokémon, hatch some number of eggs, make throws either in total or in a row, etc. Rewards include Pokémon encounters, items, and, yes, Stardust.
The amounts can vary greatly, from 100 Stardust for winning a Gym Battle to 4000 Stardust for catching a Ditto.
- 100-4000 Stardust for completing certain Field Research tasks
Once you complete seven Research tasks, you get a breakthrough that also includes Stardust.
- 2000 Stardust for completing seven days of Field Research
Special Research is far less frequent but also far more rewarding.
- 2000-10,000 Stardust for completing stages of Special Research
Feed Pokmon Berries At Gyms
When you started playing Pokémon Go, you were asked to choose your team. Your character is in this team for the duration of the game. When you encounter a gym controlled by an opposing team, you can battle there to weaken their Pokémon and take over.
If a gym is already under the control of your team, great job! Feed berries to the Pokémon at the gyms. It will heal them, give them a Combat Power boost, and net you some of that valuable Stardust. The more berries you feed, the bigger the rewards! Each Pokémon can accept ten berries at a time from you.

Getting Stardust From Pokemon
The reason youll already have some Stardust even if you dont really know what it is is because you get 100 Stardust for each Pokemon catch. In the economy of Pokemon Go, 100 Stardust isnt really very much, although over time it will add up. Also, if you catch a Pokemon every day for seven days, youll get 3000 Stardust, and this can be repeated every week.
Youll also get some Stardust for hatching eggs and defending Gyms. How far the egg distance is will influence how much Stardust you get, but again, these are the small totals which add up in the long run. As for defending Gyms, you get 20 Stardust for every Berry you feed to a Gym defender, though there is a cooldown which stops you from earning more than 100 Stardust every five minutes.
Considering all of these are the basic functions of Pokemon Go, its impossible to play the game and not gain Stardust, even if you dont really know what it is or what its for.
What’s The Fastest Way To Get Stardust In Pokmon Go
The most reliable and fastest method is to do what you do best: catch Pokémon.
The amount of stardust you get when you catch a Pokémon is determined by its evolution. You get 100 for the first, 300 for the second, and a massive 500 for the third.
But in all likelihood, you’ll have a much easier time catching a Pokémon in its first evolution, so we recommend starting there. Also, target heavily populated areas like city centres.
Why? So you can catch as many as possible within a short timeframe. That way you’ll have a plentiful supply of stardust whenever you need it.
