Pokmon Legends Arceus Trailers

What Comes Next for Pokémon After The Crown Tundra?

Frenzied Nobles trailer

Released on September 28, 2021, this Pokémon Legends Arceus trailer shows off new gameplay features, such as being able to ride Pokémon in the wild across land, air and bodies of water. You can even pull off trick shots with Pokéballs while riding to catch wild Pokémon.

New characters, known as Wardens, are introduced. It’s unclear as to how these characters will impact the game, but they seem integral to elements of the story.

A new Pokémon named Cleavor will appear as what the game is calling a ‘frenzied noble’. These Noble Pokémon act as boss fights, and it seems like the player trainer will have to calm them down through battle in order to catch them.

Finally, character customization has been confirmed, and players are able to dress their trainer in period-appropriate attire, as well as change up their hairstyles back in the hub area of Jubilife Village.

Gameplay trailerDebuting at the August 18, 2021 Pokémon Presents livestream, this trailer gave us a more in-depth glimpse at what we can expect from Pokémon Legends Arceus. We got a better look at exploration, and how wild Pokémon can interact with the playable trainer.

Reveal trailerPokémon Legends Arceus was arguably the biggest news from the Pokémon Presents showcase, where it debuted alongside a trailer showing off some early in-engine gameplay.

Pokmon Presents Reveals Character Customisation And Hideaways

The Pokémon Presents livestream, which you can watch in full below, revealed that a few new additions will be coming to the Pokémon Diamond and Pearl remakes.

You can read the full rundown of new features for Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl in our guide, but if you’re a fan of the Underground, character customisation, and Pokémon appearing in the overworld , then you’re in luck.

Wrapping Up Sword & Shield

Game Freak still has plans for Pokémon Sword & Shield before the end of the year. Naturally, the most substantial is the upcoming Crown Tundra DLC, which will wrap up the two-part expansion pass that began with June’s Isle of Armor. In addition to that, a complete edition of both Pokémon Sword and Shield is slated for this November, offering the respective base games and DLC in one package.

Bearing this in mind, it’s unlikely that Galar will receive a third version, similar to Pokémon Platinum. That follow-up to Diamond & Pearl was the last third version, as both Black & White and Sun & Moon received dual follow-ups, while X & Y simply ended the Kalos adventures there. As such, it doesn’t seem likely that the third version trope will pop up again here. Likewise, since Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon launched only a year after the base versions, it seems fairly clear that the development of the Expansion Pass has taken the place of a sequel game. That is perhaps for the better, as it frees up more development resources which can be allocated to Gen IX.

Age Divisions And Qualifications

Both the Pokémon VGC and TCG were divided into three age divisions: the , the Senior Division , and the Masters Division . For the Pokkén Tournament invitational, players were grouped into either the Senior Division or Masters Division .

The process of obtaining an invitation is primarily based on Championship Points. Players could earn Championship Points by performing in select online and live tournaments held throughout the 2016 season . Players from Japan and South Korea were excluded from this rule as these countries had their own method of qualification not based on Championship Points.

Play! Pokémon divided players into five different rating zones: US and Canada, Europe, Latin America, Asia-Pacific and South Africa. Different zones had different Championship Points requirements due to the distribution of events around the world.

There are two possible invitations players could obtain:

  • a regular ‘Day One’ invite, and
  • a ‘Day Two’ invite, which allowed players to acquire a ‘Day One’ bye and automatically enter the second Swiss tournament.

‘Day Two’ invites were usually accompanied by travel awards and stipends paid by Play! Pokémon.

All Pokmon Games On Nintendo Switch 2021

There are so many fun Pokémon games on Nintendo Switch right now. Whether you’re looking for a core RPG, a challenging spinoff, a simple puzzle game, or fun DLC, this list of every Pokémon game for the Switch is here to meet your needs. A few of these titles are even considered the best Nintendo Switch games of all time. If you haven’t played any of them yet, jump on in and see what all of the hype is about!

Who Is Arceus Anyway

What’s Next After Pokemon Sun and Moon?! – My Future Predictions!

And finally, there’s the titular Arceus itself. If you’re wondering who is Arceus in Pokemon, well it’s safe to say it’s very important indeed. It’s said to have shaped all there is in the world, and it’s clearly going to have quite an important role to play in this new game. This Normal-Type Pokemon was first introduced during Gen 4, and could be found in Diamond and Pearl by playing the Azure Flute in the Hall of Origin.

However, because that wasn’t an item that could be found in the game organically, but rather was released as an event-exclusive item, players have been on quite the journey to actually get the Mythical beast in their games at the time. In fact, it wasn’t even officially recognized by Nintendo until 2009 when its debut movie arrived.

It was then known as “The Original One”, and is even thought to be the Pokemon that created the Sinnoh region, if not the Pokemon universe itself, including a whole host of other mythical Pokemon such as the lake guardians and the creation trio.

We can’t wait to learn more about this Mythical Pokemon in Pokemon Legends: Arceus when it arrives in early 2022.

What The Next Pokemon Game Might Look Like

It’s almost been a full year since the release of Pokémon Sword and Shield, and here are some ideas for what might come next in the series:

It’s been less than a year since the release of Pokemon Sword and Shield, but fans have been eagerly awaiting what Game Freak has in store next for the Pokémon franchise. The Isle of Armor and the upcoming Crown Tundra DLCs have given the Sword and Shield games a ton a replayability, but the lack of story in the inaugural DLC has left some fans wanting more specifically, a new game.

There have been several Pokemon Direct presentations this year, but the reveals were lackluster. Apps like Pokemon Sleep, Pokemon Smile, and Pokemon Cafe Mix all seemed to be aimed towards younger, more casual Pokemon fans. Meanwhile, games like New Pokemon Snap and Pokemon Unite are sure to excite some fans, but probably not the core fanbase.

This upcoming Pokemon Day, February 27th, 2021, will mark the 25th Anniversary of Pokemon Red and Blue. If Game Freak commemorates the occasion at all like Nintendo did for 35th Anniversary, it’s safe to expect several new Pokemon titles. Seeing as neither have an official release date yet, it’s likely New Pokemon Snap and Pokemon Unite will be released as part of the 25th anniversary celebration, but what other games might be announced on Pokemon Day? The one fans are likely crossing their fingers and their toes for is a remastered Pokemon Diamond and Pearl.

Here Are The Highlights In The Pokmon Presents

The free-to-play MOBA game, Pokémon Unite is set to release on Android and iOS on September 22. If youve started on the Switch while waiting for your friends, dont worry. The mobile version will have a cross play feature with the Switch version. Moreover, there will be two more playable Pokémon coming to the Pokémon Unite universe: Mamoswine and Sylveon.

Next, the touch-based puzzle game, Pokémon Cafe Mix will be getting a major revamp for the Nintendo Switch renamed to Pokémon Café ReMix. The game will include brand new puzzle elements, more Pokémon, and excitingly new dress-up options. But, the best part about this update is that the Pokémon get to eat!

There will also be a remake version of the classic Pokémon Diamond and Pearl on the Nintendo Switch. According to the presentation, the remake will stay faithful to the originals. The Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl game which was originally came out on the Nintendo DS back in 2006 will see the return of the original mini games, including Pokémon Super Contests, The Underground with the dowsing and Secret Base.

Additionally, players can customize their trainers outfit as well as their Poké Balls with collectible stickers which adds visual effects to throw animations. A brand new Nintendo Switch Lite console will also be released alongside the games, they feature Dialga and Palkia.

Is Pokemon Legends: Arceus Open

Nintendo officially confirmed that Pokemon Legends: Arceus is an open-world game in the most trailer detailing the upcoming adventure. Set in the Hisui region, which will one day come to be known as the Sinnoh region, the latest look at the game’s setting of the Hisui region, we get to see some of the diverse natural environments we’ll get explore, and also check out some of the different terrain types and weather conditions, including snowy climbs, rainfall over lush green vistas, and desert lands.

As this is a game set long before the events of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, with the Sinnoh region itself based on the Japanese island of Hokkaido, there’s plenty of history both within the game lore and its source material to explore. We get to see some glimpses of the old ecosystems of the region, with Jubilife village being your main base, and different Pokemon inhabitants in the various areas. The initial reveal trailer also mentions mountains and seas – the mountain of course being Mount Coronet, which has always been the center of the Sinnoh region.

Game Freak promises that “this is a Sinnoh unlike anything Trainers have experienced before as they embark to create the regions first Pokédex”.

Release Date: February 12th 2020

Pokemon Emerald Ep 25

Perhaps this is a little unfair considering Pokémon HOME isnt a game per se, but its still an official Pokémon application available on the Switch, so we decided to include it anyway. Its completely free and acts ascloud-based storage for Pokémon.

There is a mobile version of the game and of course, a Switch version. The Switch version boasts some exclusive features, including access to the Basic Box where 30 Pokémon can be stored. Pokémon from Lets Go Pikachu!, Lets Go Eevee! and Pokémon Sword & Shield can all be stored here.

A key criticism of HOME is that if you really want to use the full breadth of it and if youre a hardcore Pokémon player, theres a good chance that youll have to pay for the Premium plan which allows you to store up to 6,000 Pokémon. A 30-day subscription will cost you $2.69 while a full year will put you $14.39 out of pocket.

Yet another remake, coming in at second place, is Pokémon: Lets Go Pikachu! and Lets Go Eevee!, a remake of Pokémon Yellow. These games are unique because theyre made to be a good entry point for new fans as well as older fans who played the original back in 1998.

The return to Kanto did its job in providing nostalgia for the original fans. Fans and critics alike applauded the capture system and Pikachu and Eevee as protagonists.

Pokmon Ruby And Sapphire

Coming in at number fourteen on our complete Pokémon games list are Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire.

They were released on the Game Boy Advance in Japan in 2002 and internationally in 2003.

Give Gold And Silver The Lets Go Treatment

Whats Next For Pokemon

Between the major new entries in the franchise, Game Freak has a tendency to keep the Pokémon fandom engaged by releasing snazzy new remakes of our old favorites. The last of these projects resulted in Pokémon Lets Go: EeveeandPokémon Lets Go Pikachu, which were Nintendo Switch reimaginings of the Generation 1 experience. After revisiting Kanto with Pikachu and Eevee, it seems sensible to assume that a trip to Johto could be on the cards next.

This would mean revisiting Generation 2 which consisted of Pokémon Gold andSilver and the sequel Crystal on the Nintendo Switch, giving Chikorita, Cyndaquil, and Totodile a chance to shine with modern graphics and features. This would also allow a new generation of players to experience the thrilling twist at the end of Gold and Silver you also get to surf over to Kanto to tackle the original eight gyms in a whole new way.
