How To Get Glaceon And Leafeon During Community Day
Eevees Leaf and Ice-type evolutions both have their standard methods of evolutions during the event.
Players will need to use a Mossy Lure Module on a Pokestop and evolve Eevee within the radius to get a Leafeon or repeat the trick with a Glacial Lure Module to get a Glaceon.
While these items do cost, Niantic has confirmed that there will be some Research during Community Day that rewards a Mossy Lure Module and a Glacial Lure Module.
Leafeon and Glaceons naming trick is Linnea or Rea .

- Psyshock is recommended for defense due to its coverage against Poison-type attackers, as well as its 3-bar move accessibility.
- Dazzling Gleam hits hardest and comes out frequently enough to be reliable.
- Moonblast takes too long to use, and Draining Kiss is weaker.

How To Evolve Eevee Into Sylveon In Pokmon Go
Sylveon was finally released into Pokémon Go on May 25th, 2021 as part of the Luminous Legends Y event.
Though it can only be used once, the easiest way to evolve an Eevee into Sylveon is to change its nickname to Kira and ensure you have at least 25 Eevee Candy.
Before you press evolve, however, make sure the silhouette for Sylveon is on the evolve button – if it’s not then you’re Eevee may evolve into a different Eeveelution.
If this does occur for the you, it can be easily fixed by closing Pokémon Go and opening it again.
Once you’ve used the name trick, Eevee can be evolved into Sylveon by earning 70 Buddy hearts with it, which means your chosen Eevee needs to be at Great Buddy Level. Swapping buddies will not reset your progress towards Sylveon, so feel free to change your Buddy Pokémon freely.
You’ll also still need 25 Eevee Candy.
This evolution method is in keeping with how you must have a high friendship level with an Eevee, along with it knowing a fairy-type move, if you wish to evolve it into a Sylveon in the main-line series.
Don’t worry about Eevee evolving into Espeon or Umbreon instead, because, thanks to gamewith_pkgo from Twitter, we know Sylveon will appear as a separate evolution option, allowing you to pick the correct Eeveeultion.
You can also evolve a shiny or flower crown Eevee to earn yourself a shiny or flower crown Sylveon.

How To Evolve Eevee Into Sylveon
The final Eeveelution is Sylveon, the Fairy-type form added to the Pokemon world in the Pokemon X and Pokemon Y generation. This one easily requires the most in-game work to obtain, and like Espeon and Umbreon it starts with making an Eevee your walking buddy.
Once Eevee is your buddy, you’ll need to interact with it in order to earn Hearts, which increases the bond of friendship between you and Eevee. 70 Hearts are needed in order to evolve Eevee to Sylveon, and you’ll know your Eevee is ready to evolve when Sylveon’s silhouette appears in the Evolve button on your Eevee’s status screen.
Activities with your Eevee that will gain Hearts include:
- Battling Together – Using Eevee in battle at Gyms, Raids, Team Go Rocket, or Trainer Battles earns two Hearts once per day.
- Feeding a Berry – Every three berries earns one Heart, up to four Hearts per day
- Finding a New Place – Activating a PokeStop or Gym that you’ve never used before earns two Hearts once per day
- Playing Together – Tapping Eevee in AR Mode allows you to pet it, giving two Hearts whenever it spins around, up to once per day
- Snapshot – Taking a picture of your Eevee will earn two Hearts once per day
- Walking – Every 2 KM walked earns one Heart, up to four Hearts per day
Also, completing a certain amount of activities will put Eevee in an “excited mood,” which doubles the amount of daily Hearts you can earn.
- * Slyveon – “Kira”

Here’s how to get Sylveon in Pokémon GO
Sylveon is one of the top Eevee evolutions by our estimations it would be in S-tier if we were making a tier list based on how cool the elemental foxes look, and not many people would disagree with us. Our personal favourite, Jolteon, is a much more controversial pick, but Sylveons adorable design and strong Fairy typing immediately secured its place in fans hearts when it was released in Pokémon X and Y.
Despite having first graced the screens of a generations 3DS consoles back in 2013, fans are only now seeing signs of the release of Sylveon in Pokémon GO. Developer Niantic recently confirmed that Sylveon will release with the Luminous Legends Y event, which celebrates the sixth generation of main series games.
As well as shaking up the Pokémon GO egg pool, introducing shiny Galarian Zigzagoon , and adding the next raid boss to Pokémon GO, Yveltal, the event will see Sylveons first appearance in the mobile game.
Whether youre a big fan of the Fairy-type fox, or just want to catch em all, heres how you can go about doing just that:

How To Get A Sylveon In Pokemon Go
Sylveon is unfortunately not able to be caught in Pokemon GO just yet. The mobile title from Niantic has just begun to add gen 5 Pokemon to its roster, so Sylveon hasnt made the cut just yet, along with other popular gen 6 Pokemon like Goodra or Zygarde. Over these last few years, Niantic has slowly started to add more and more Pokemon to Pokemon GO. So eventually, Sylveon will definitely be added to the game, but as of right now, its the only Eevee evolution that cant be obtained.
However, there is a chance that the gen 5 Pokemon could be coming to the game soon, as players datamined a Pokemon GO loading screen that featured a silhouette of Sylveon, hinting at a potential release.
How To Get Sylveon In Pokemon Go
Sylveon, the most recent addition to the Eeveelutions, and the method to obtaining it is a bit tedious but totally worth it. Trainers can check out our Pokemon Go Sylveon guide for more in-depth details, but the gist to getting Sylveon is through the friendship meter in Pokemon Go.
Trainers need to make Eevee their buddy and earn 70 hearts with it. Again, this will take a while, but as long as trainers can maximize the amount of hearts earned each day they will eventually get to that mark. Trainers will know they received the right amount of hearts when the silhouette in the evolution area of Eevees in-game information screen shows Sylveon.

How To Evolve Eevee Into Jolteon Flareon And Vaporeon
As part of Gen 1, Jolteon, Flareon, and Vaporeon have been available in Pokémon GO since the beginning and many longtime players have already snagged each of the original Eevee evolutions. However, those looking to add these three to their Pokédex for the first time can do so with a simple name trick. By renaming your Eevee, you can guarantee it will evolve into one of the following:
- Sparky: Jolteon
- Pyro: Flareon
- Rainer: Vaporeon
Unfortunately, this trick only works once, so use it wisely. Once trainers have caught the Eevee evolution in question, getting another Jolteon, Flareon, or Vaporeon is largely up to fate.
Sylveon Name Trick Method In Pokemon Go
There is an easier way to get your hands on your very own Sylveon without needing to complete the above, though.
While this is limited to only being available for one Sylveon, youll simply need to name the pre-evolution to Kira, and ensure that youve got 25 Eevee Candy available to use.
- Once youve done this, the Fairy-types silhouette on the Evolve button should appear, indicating youre able to evolve them.
- If it doesnt appear, do not press Evolve as this may result in you ending up with another evolution.

All Pokmon Go Evolution Name Tricks
With Sylveon added to Pokémon GO, all eight Eeveelutions are now in the game. For new players, it will be a grind to get one of each as a fun side mission. The easiest way is to catch a lot of Eevee and use the different name tricks. Each evolution has its own name trick, which can be used one time per account.
All Eevee name tricks in Pokémon GO:
- Rename Eevee to Kira to evolve into Sylveon
- Rename Eevee to Pyro to evolve into Flareon
- Rename Eevee to Sparky to evolve into Jolteon
- Rename Eevee to Rainer to evolve into Vaporeon
- Rename Eevee to Tamao to evolve into Umbreon
- Rename Eevee to Sakura to evolve into Espeon
- Rename Eevee to Linnea to evolve into Leafeon
- Rename Eevee to Rea to evolve into Glaceon
With the whole Eevee collection in the Pokédex, it will be possible to take on most Pokémon in fights. As Eevee can evolve into a lot of different types, its almost always possible to find an Eeveelution that will be super effective against the opponent.
What You Need To Do When Evolving Sylveon
The method is a bit easy, but it may take you a bit of time. Much like the other evolutions, you need to raise your Eevees Friendship at the appropriate amount. The catch is that the Eevee needs to have a Fairy-type move learned so that it evolves into Sylveon the next time it levels up with the right amount of Friendship.
The good thing is that Eevee from Generation VI onwards has a Fairy-type move called Baby-Doll Eyes when it reaches level 9. It can also learn another Fairy-type move at level 29 which is Charm. All you need to do is to have just one of those two, and when your Eevee has a high enough Friendship, it will evolve into Sylveon the next time it levels up.
If you have a Fairy-type move on your Eevee, then all you have to do is to just increase its Friendship. It will take priority over Espeon or Umbreon when your Eevee levels up with a high amount of Friendship. In Sword and Shield, you can actually catch a Sylveon in the Lake of Outrage during a Max Raid Battle. You have to be really lucky to encounter it, let alone catch it.

Pokemon Go Eeveelutions: Eevee Nicknames
The Pokemon GO Eevee nicknames work by renaming the Eevee you want to a specific name, then evolving it. This will force one of the eight evolutions. Beware though, because this trick only works once, so once you’ve used it, you can’t nickname an Eevee the same thing again. Here are all of the Eevee nicknames to acquire the specific evolutions:
Flareon: PyroGlaceon: ReaSylveon: Kira
Many wonder why these specific names have to be given to an Eevee to guarantee a certain evolution. Well, it’s all down to Pokemon lore.
When it comes to Sparky, Rainer, and Pyro, these are the names of the three elder Eevee brothers from the Pokemon anime, who show off their respective Eevelutions to Ash and the gang.
Sakura and Tamao also come from the Pokemon anime – when Ash meets the five Kimono sisters – Sakura with Espeon and Tamao with Umbreon.
As for Leafeon and Glaceon, their nicknames herald from trainers in the game Pokemon Sun and Moon. Linnea has Leafeon in her team and Rea has Glaceon.
Finally, Sylveon takes the name Kira from one of the Eevium Z trainers.
Don’t worry though the Eevee nickname method isn’t the only way of obtaining each of the Eeveelutions in Pokemon GO.
