How To Get Leafeon & Glaceon In Pokemon Go
For the Gen IV mon, Leafeon and Glaceon, youll need to either buy or earn a Glacial Lure Module and a Mossy Lure Module. They can both be bought in the in-game Shop for 200 PokeCoins, but can very rarely be earned via tasks.
Once youve got one in hand, follow these steps:
- Go to a nearby PokeStop and place the Lure down on it: Glacial for Glaceon, and Mossy for Leafeon. They each last for 30 minutes.
- Then, you can simply click on the usual Evolve button on Eevees page and itll transform into whichever one youve picked.
How To Evolve Eevee Intoflareon
Flareon is a Fire-type Eevee evolution, and is one of the original three Eeveelutions.
To evolve Eevee into Flareon, simply give it a Fire Stone.

The simplest way of getting a specific evolution is to just change your Pokemons nickname. Each evolution has a nickname tied to it, and you can use that to guarantee a single evolution. So if youve already used this trick on a given account, it wont work again. So while this will likely be less useful for most, here are those:
- Flareon: Pyro
- Glaceon: Rea
- Sylveon: Kira
After that, most of the evolutions have an alternate, more involved method for forcing the evolution. Here are those:
- Flareon, Jolteon, Vaporeon: These ones are pure RNG, so best of luck.
- Umbreon: Walk an Eevee 10km as your buddy, then evolve it at night while its still your buddy. Update: this requires no walking distance during community day, just equip as your buddy at night and evolve.

How To Evolve Umbreon & Espeon In Pokemon Go
Unlike the previous evolutions, however, Umbreon and Espeon dont evolve from Eevee at random, requiring specific actions to get them.
- Espeon: For the Psychic-type, youll need to make Eevee your Buddy and walk 10km with them. After this, the mons Evolve button should show the silhouette of Espeon during the day.
- Umbreon: This method is almost identical for Umbreon, except you need to evolve the Pokemon at night.

Unfortunately Jolteon, Flareon, and Vaporeon all evolve randomly from Eevee. However, Umbreon, Espeon, Glaceon, and Leafeon have alternative methods.
Umbreon and Espeon both evolve after walking with the Eevee as your buddy Pokémon for 10 kilometers. Once thats done, the buddy Eevee evolved during the night will yield Umbreon while the day will yield Espeon. Note that when you evolve Eevee, it still needs to be your buddy Pokémon for this trick to work.
Leafeon and Glaceon can both be reliably evolved from spinning a Mossy Lure or a Glacial Lure, respectively. After spinning a Pokéstop with these Lure Modules active, the next Eevee you will evolve will become its leaf or ice form. Note that you need to be in range of the Lure Module. You can collect Umbreon in multiple ways.
In the Pokemon universe, Eevee, the Evolution Pokemon, can be evolved into eight different pocket monsters, and seven of those are currently available in Pokemon Go . The only Eevee evolution that isnt available in Pokemon Go is Sylveon.
Since Eevee can be evolved into so many different Pokemon, it has a unique evolutionary system in Pokemon Go. That is, while many other Pokemon can be evolved by simply collecting enough Pokemon Candy, Eevees evolution works differently.
Heres what you need to know about evolving Eevee into Umbreon, Eevees Dark-type Evolution.
As reported by Eurogamer, if youve never evolved Eevee into Umbreon before, the easiest way to evolve one is to simply rename Eevee to Tamao before evolving it. However, this trick will only work once.
If you want to evolve another Eevee into Umbreon after that, youll need to complete a few steps, according to Pokemon Go Hub:
- Make the Eevee you want to evolve into Umbreon your Buddy.
- Walk 10 km with that Eevee as your Buddy so that you earn two Eevee Candy .
- Evolve that Eevee at night while it is still your Buddy.

Pokemon Go Eevee Community Day Perks
Aside from the usual increase in spawns and the higher rate of finding a Shiny, this weekends Pokemon Go Eevee Community Day event will give trainers even more perks. From Friday, August 13 at 1 p.m. EDT to Monday, August 16 at 1 p.m. EDT, when Eevee evolves into its many evolutions they will learn an exclusive move. Below are the Pokemon-exclusive moves that will be learned during Community Day:
- Vaporeon: Scald
- Sylveon: Psyshock
- Eevee caught or hatched during this time will know Last Resort.
Also, evolving Sylveon will be much easier during the two-day event. More information on Sylveons evolution method is below, but obtaining the Fairy-type will only require seven friendship hearts instead of the usual 70.
Glacial Lure Mossy Lure And Magnetic Lure Explained And What Pokmon They Attract Explained
Three types of elemental Lure Module are available in the game:
- Glacial Lure Module – A frosty Lure Module that attracts Water and Ice Pokémon for 30 minutes.
- Magnetic Lure Module – An electronic Lure Module that attracts Electric, Steel and Rock Pokémon for 30 minutes.
- Mossy Lure Module – A natural Lure Module that attracts Bug, Grass and Poison Pokémon for 30 minutes.
- Rainy Lure Module – A wet Lure Module that attracts Water, Bug and Electric Pokémon for 30 minutes.
Using a Lure provides three uses:
1) Once used at a PokéStop, Pokémon of that type are more likely to spawn around that location.
2) Exclusive Pokémon can spawn at Lures. To date, there is only one Pokémon that debuted exclusively with a Lure enabled – Gen 5‘s Cryogonal, available during December 2019’s holiday event using a Glacial Lure – but note that has been reported to no longer appear in lures and can spawn in snowy weather.
3) Each Lure can also offer special evolutions, some of which are exclusive. When in use, you can go to the respective pre-evolution and evolve it into the following:
- Magnetic Lure evolutions: Magnezone and Probopass
- Mossy Lure evolutions: Leafeon
- Glacial Lure evolutions: Glaceon
- Rainy Lure evolutions: Goodra
Note – both Leafeon and Glaceon can also use Eevee evolution names if you prefer .
The above methods are similar to those in the main games – requiring proximity to magnetic fields, for example, to evolve certain creatures.
