Where To Find Rufflet

Where to find Rufflet, Braviary & How to Evolve – Pokemon Sword Evolution

Unfortunately for Shield players, Rufflet and Braviary are version-exclusive to Sword. Don’t let that hold you back, though – find a friend with Sword or go online to look for link codes. If you have Pokémon Home and another game Rufflet appears in, you can also trade from there. For players who have Sword, Rufflet can be found on Route 8 as an overworld spawn or in the Bridge Field and Stony Wilderness areas of the Wild Area. It’s most common spawn is in Bridge Field during a sandstorm , whereas it only has a small chance to be found in the Stony Wilderness during most weather. The most consistent way to get one is to look on Route 8.

Note that Rufflet and Braviary are also male-exclusive pokémon, so if you’re looking to breed them to give to friends, you’ll need a ditto.

Evolving Boldore In Pokemon Sword & Shield

Lets cut right to the chase here, after evolving your Roggenrola at level 25 into a Boldore all you need to do is trade Boldore to evolve it into Gigalith. You dont have to wait for a particular level for the evolution to occur during the trade, nor do you need Boldore to have a particular item equipped to cause the evolution to occur.

Simply find a friend, trade Boldore with them and get them to send the newly-evolved Gigalith back to you. This is the best method weve found to get yourself a Gigalith in Pokemon Sword and Shield, unless, of course, you dont mind having someone elses Boldore evolve into a Gigalith. That way, you and your friend wont have to trade back.

If youre going to trade with a friend whos in the same room as you, simply choose the Link Trade option and set your Link Code. This prevents other random nearby players for accepting your trade request instead of your friend.

Alternatively, you can just choose the Start Trading option, and your request will be sent to any trainers who happen to be in your nearby vicinity. You can also go online to trade by pressing the + button from the Y-Comm menu. Then select Link Trade, though keep in mind you do need a Nintendo Switch Online subscription to trade and battle with friends online.

The requirement of peculiar evolution steps has been a part of the Pokemon series for quite some time. At their most basic, these evolution methods boil down to using certain items on a Pokemon, but they can get as complicated as making the Pokemon survive a certain amount of damage and then bringing it to a certain location as is the case for evolving Galarian Yamask. One of the most unique evolution methods is that of Pokemon X and Ys Inkay, which evolves into Malamar when leveled up when the players Nintendo 3DS is turned upside down. While most of Pokemon Sword and Shields special evolution methods arent quite as creative, they can be just as obtuse without a guide.

How To Evolve Rufflet In Pokmon Legends: Arceus

Pokemon Sword: 10 Pokemon worth adding to your Party

Like many Pokémon in Legends: Arceus, Braviary received a Hisuian form that is significantly different from its Unovian form. Where it differs, however, is that Hisuian Braviary doesn’t require anything special to evolve from Rufflet, like Basculin or Stantler. Instead, the only thing players need to do to evolve Rufflet into Hisuian Braviary is raise it to level 54. It’s a significant level to raise a Pokémon to normally, but luckily the Rufflet that can be captured on Lake Acuity, home of Uxie in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, are all around, or even above, level 54. Be careful trying to catch one, however, as Rufflet become instantly aggressive and their close proximity to one another leads them to attack in greater numbers.

After players find and catch a Rufflet for their own, they simply need to go into their party and evolve it like they would any other Pokémon. Thankfully, Rufflet is one of the easier Pokémon to evolve into its Hisuian form in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, but don’t be fooled by its favor towards the Attack stat. The best nature to catch a Rufflet with in Pokémon Legends: Arceus is not Adamant, but rather Modest. Similar to Hisuian Zoroark in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, a Modest nature is the best nature a Hisuian Braviary can have as it raises the Special Attack stat significantly.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus is available now on Nintendo Switch.
