Pokemon Go: Top Counters To Defeat Cloyster

4 STAR – 11 PLAYER RAID – SNORLAX [Pokemon GO Raid Gameplay] – Raid/Boss Capture

Overall, Cloyster is weak to Electric, Fighting, Grass, and Rock-type moves due to it being a dual Water/Ice-type Pokemon. Pokemon GO trainers should hone in on these weaknesses in order to dispatch Cloyster quickly and receive the best rewards possible in a raid situation.

That covers more than a few moves and Pokemon fortunately, and matching one of these move types to a Pokemon of the same type will amplify its damage thanks to Same Type Attack Bonuses .

Adding STAB damage to the super effective damage Cloyster is already receiving is a great way to hammer away its large HP pool.

Below, Pokemon GO trainers can find a list of Pokemon that can hard counter Cloyster in raids:

  • Mega Manectric
  • Mega Ampharos
  • Mega Lopunny
  • Mega Abomasnow
  • Lucario

Defeating And Catching Kyurem In Pokmon Go

Although players have a lot of options for exploiting Kyurem’s weaknesses in Pokémon GO, the best Pokémon to use are ones that have powerful Rock, Steel, or Ground moves. These tend to be stronger TMs, and there are a lot of Pokémon with high maximum CPs that have Rock, Steel, or Ground moves, or a combination of them. Players can also use strong Fairy-type Pokémon, like Zacian or Shadow Gardevoir, but they are less common than the other types that Kyurem is weak against.

Can You Solo Tier 3 Raids

The raid mechanic introduced one of the few challenges available to trainers in Pokemon GO: soloing tier 3 raids. Soloing a tier 3 raid requires knowledge of which Pokemon to use and how to best use them in battle. A trainers goals will vary based on their trainer level and accessibility to in-game resources.

Optimize Your Pokemon: Damage Breakpoints

Due to Pokemon GOs damage formula, damage done is rounded down to the nearest integer. Because fast moves do small amounts of damage, they get rounded down to the same number until a Pokemon reaches a certain attack stat in a particular matchup, where it jumps up +1. This is called a damage breakpoint.

Fast move damage breakpoints are important because they represent thresholds where a single power up yields a 5% or more increase in DPS. Power ups beyond a Pokemons highest damage breakpoint have little benefit. The two big conclusions to be drawn from this are:

  • Powering up to the highest breakpoint achieves nearly 100% of a Pokemon’s maximum DPS

Damage breakpoints depend on the attacker species, attack IV, fast move, weather , and the raid boss. GamePress offers an on-site calculator and an off-site spreadsheet to help you find damage breakpoints.

The History Of Legendaries In Pokmon Go

Before we even heard their presence was confirmed in the big Gym rework, we already knew the various Legendaries were in the game.

That’s thanks to some good old-fashioned datamining. NesstendoYT on YouTube was one major player, who dug through the game’s files to discover that the above first generation Legendary Pokémon are indeed listed in the game:

Their absence in the game led to plenty of speculation, particularly with one of the strongest and most famous Legendary Pokémon – Mewtwo – being the focus of one of the game’s first trailers, showing crowds of people teaming up to fight it, whittling down its health as a timer ticks down before capturing the Pokémon in a packed Times Square, suggesting that Mewtwo and other Legendaries could be unlocked through public events rather than random encounters.

That’s since been confirmed of course – but it’s interesting Mewtwo pops up again at the end of the trailer… maybe that’s the Legendary Raid that needs to be tackled in Chicago?

As for Gen 2‘s Raikou, Entei, Suicune, Lugia, Ho-oh and Celebi, they’ve appeared in datamining efforts, too, with their stats showing up alongside the likes of the birds, Mew and Mewtwo.

These stats reveal them to be among the best Pokémon in our Pokémon Go tier list, with Mewtwo and Ho-Oh having some of the highest base attacks in the game, more so than existing creatures Alakazam and Dragonite.

When did we think Legendaries were coming? The Legendary teases:

    Ex Raids In Pokmon Go

An Exclusive or EX Raid is a special sort of Raid you can only participate in by invitation. Invitations are given to players who battle at EX eligible Gyms during a time of high traffic with some small bit of luck on top. Otherwise, invitations can be shared between Ultra and Best Friends. If you have a high-level friend who gets one, they can invite you to the EX Raid as well. The last EX Raid Boss was Regigigas, the leader of the Regi Titans Trio however, Niantic has currently suspended EX Raids in the interests of public health concerns.

Find Out Type & Weakness Of Raid Boss

When attempting to defeat a raid boss, it’s best to find out their Pokemon Type & level! With this information, you can easily figure out their weaknesses & use these to defeat them.

Use Party Of Strong Pokemon Exploiting Boss’s Weakness

When you know the boss’s Type, build a party of strong Pokemon with high CP & IVs whose fighting moves are the raid boss Pokemon’s weaknesses. This will damage the boss more and help you beat the raid.

Determine Raid Level By Eggs Or Stars

You can find out the difficulty of the raid by checking the egg color before the raid starts or checking the stars when the raid is ongoing. Raid levels go from 1 to 5, with 5 being the most difficult.

    Niantic Removes 2 And 4

Rewards are also being increased for one and three-star raids.

Along with releasing the list of monthly content for September, Niantic also decided it was time to shake up how raid battles work in Pokémon Go.

From now on, two and four-star raid battle tiers have been completely removed and the Pokémon that would have appeared in those raids will slot into either one or three-star raids moving forward.

Rewards for one-star raids and three-star raids are increased to what two-star and four-star raids awarded, respectively. We’ll be releasing a more detailed update on these changes soon. Thank you!

    Niantic Support

This will depend on which tier the Pokémon would have been originally classified in, so any two-star raid Pokémon will be moved down to one-star, likewise for four-star to three-star. To compensate for this change, the rewards for both one and three-star raids have been bumped up to what two-star and four-star raids awarded, respectively.

Further changes could be made in the future to define exactly what Pokémon belong in each tier, outside of Legendary Pokémon being locked into five-star raids. Reward levels could also be changed to fluctuate depending on the Pokémon being included in individual raids rather than by tiers.

Niantic will be releasing a more detailed update on these changes in the near future, but for now, you can expect little to actually change at a base level from this raid tier consolidation.

How To Accept A Pokemon Go Raid Invite

    4 STAR
  • When invited to a Raid Battle, youll either receive an in-game notification or push notification . However, youll only receive push notifications if the Raid Invitations setting is toggled on in your Settings menu.
  • You can tap the in-game notification to directly access the Raid Battle to which youre invited. Tapping a push notification will open the Pokémon GO app, after which you can tap the active raid invitation from the Nearby menu.
  • Once youve accessed the Raid screen, you can join the lobby by tapping the Battle button. Youll need to use a Remote Raid Pass if you are not within an interactable distance of the Gym or a Battle Pass if you are within an interactable distance.
  • Note: If the Raid Lobby is already full or the lobby is already hosting the maximum number of Trainers raiding remotely, you wont be able to join.
  • The invitation will disappear after the Raid Battle has started if you never joined the Raid Lobby. However, if you successfully start the Raid Battle through an invitation but encounter an error and are unable to complete the battle, the invitation will remain in the Nearby menu, allowing you to rejoin as long as the Raid Battle is ongoing and up to a few minutes after the Raid Battle is over so you can still encounter and catch the Raid Boss.

Pokmon Go : Kyurem Raid Guide

From December 16 to December 31, Kyurem will appear in Pokémon GO five-star raids, and players can use super-effective moves to defeat it.

Kyurem is a Dragon- and Ice-type Pokémon that can be battled in five-star raids during December in Pokémon GO. Players will be able to find Kyurem in raids from December 16 to December 31, and they may even have the chance to catch a rare Shiny Kyurem. Five-star raids are the hardest raid battles in the game, so players will need to invite other trainers in Pokémon GO to defeat Kyurem.

Players will need to have other trainers added as friends to invite them to raid battles in Pokémon GO. Once they’re added, players can enter the raid and use the invite button above the Pokémon team to send out invites. To defeat Kyurem, players will need at least four additional trainers to join the fight. Utilizing the right Pokémon to exploit Kyurem’s weaknesses will also be key to winning the raid battle.

Since Kyurem is a Dragon- and Ice-type Pokémon, it has several weaknesses that players can exploit. Using a Pokémon with Ground, Rock, Fairy, Steel, or Dragon moves will give players a higher chance of defeating Kyurem. Players should use caution when fighting with a Dragon-type Pokémon because, although Kyurem is weak against them, that Pokémon will also be vulnerable to Kyurem’s attacks.

    Can You Beat A 3

I suggest trying for 4-5 trainers for all 5-star and mega raids to make the fights easier and more of a certain victory. Yes 3-star raids can be soloed. In fact thus far, the only 3-star raid in Pokemon Gos history that could not be soloed was Shuckle, which was before level 50 and Mega evolutions were introduced.

    Minimize Time Required To Re

Some tier 4 bosses require more than one team of 6 Pokemon. Time spent leaving and re-entering battle is lost DPS. Use these tricks to rejoin the fray faster:

    • Leave battle before wiping out to avoid the all your Pokemon have fainted screen.
    • Use an A team battle party if you plan to revive and re-enter with your main team.
    • Use a B team battle party if you only need a little bit of damage.
    • Delete all Potions and Super Potions in order to use Max Revives without scrolling.

How To Invite Friends To A Pokemon Go Raid

CLONE VENUSAUR – POKEMON GO – 4 STAR RAID
  • Join a public or private Raid Lobby.
  • Tap the Invite Friends button on the right side of the screen.
  • Select the friends you would like to invite to the raid , then tap Invite Friends. Keep in mind that there is a limit to how many Trainers can join a Raid Battle remotely, and this limit applies to invited friends as well. While you can only invite up to 5 friends at a time, after a short cooldown period you can invite more friends to the same lobby if youd like.
  • Once youve sent your invitations, recipients will receive a notification that theyve been invited to a Raid Battle. Invited friends can join the Raid Battle even if you have to leave the lobby yourself. However, if you are the only Trainer in the Raid Lobby and you leave the lobby before anyone else joins , invited friends will no longer be able to join the lobby with your invitation.

Pokemon Go: How To Counter Cloyster In Raids In December 2021

Recently returning to Pokemon GO raids this December, Cloyster arrives from the original generation of Pokemon and evolves from Shellder.

Currently, Cloyster possesses four weaknesses and two resistances in Pokemon and Pokemon GO. This provides trainers with more than a few avenues to compose their battle teams when taking Cloyster on as a raid boss.

As a 3-Star raid boss, Cloyster can be a tough out, but not on the level of a 5-Star raid boss like Kyurem. Cloyster’s weaknesses include some of the most popular types of Pokemon as well, meaning counter play against it is somewhat easier compared to others.

Kyurem In Pokemon Go: Mia Or On The Way

For Pokemon GO players looking to truly catch them all, knowing when a Raid Boss changes rotation can motivate them to both prepare for the new Raid Boss and get their final chances at challenging the current Raid Bosses. Players will be happy to know that Kyurem is on its way to the 5-Star Raid Boss spot.

In short, Kyurem will be coming to Pokemon GO in the next rotation of 5-Star Raid Bosses on the 16th of December, 2021. This rotation also brings the first week of the holiday event, as this is when the seasonal costumes for various Pokemon will be added.

For players planning on challenging Kyurem, here are some tips and predictions for the best strategies regarding taking on Kyurem in Pokemon GO.

Kyurem is an Ice and Dragon-type Pokemon. This gives Kyurem a lot of weaknesses, as it takes super effective damage from Fighting, Rock, Steel, Fairy, and other Dragon-type attacks. Kyurem only keeps 3 of the 4 resistances from the Dragon-typing, as it is severely crippled by its Ice-typing. Kyurem now only resists Electric, Grass, and Water-type attacks.

Kyurem’s stats in Pokemon GO are incredibly bulky to compensate for its many weaknesses however, Kyurem’s weakest stat is its defense, sitting at 170. This leaves Kyurem open to super effective fast attacks like Smack Down, Metal Claw, Charm, and Dragon Tail, just to name a few.

In the meantime, Pokemon Go’s winter holiday event is underway until Dec. 31, and Kyurem is currently appearing in five-star raids. You can catch up on everything else happening in the game this month in our .

    Zygarde Is Coming Soon

    Raikou Return to Raids

On December 3, 2020, Niantic released a trailer announcing that more PokéBalls will be available from PokéStops for the holiday period. However, the final frame of this video shows new Pokémon from the Kalos region.

As you can see, Zygarde is clearly coming to the game soon, as every other Pokémon in the shot is available now. As the video has a holiday theme, we expect them to appear soon.

The likelihood is that they will be available in raids, like most other Legendary Pokémon, but well update this page with all the information when we know for sure.

Now, well answer a bunch of questions you may have regarding Pokémon Go raids.

Why Duo A Tier 4 Raid When Legendaries Exist

Tier 4 raids offer slightly more rewards than tier 3. If youre often part of the minority team, it’s not uncommon to get more reward bundles from a tier 4 duo than a tier 5 large legendary raid.

The easiest of the available tier 4 raids give you the potential for a shiny or a meta relevant Pokemon . Even if a level 20 or level 25 Tyranitar doesnt excite you, the potential for 20 candy might!

Solos are fun and come with a sense of satisfaction, but it is also wonderful to share that accomplishment with a friend! Whether optimizing your teams together or actually fighting the battle, duos provide a wonderful opportunity to play the game with others.
