Pokemon Go To Pokemon Home Transfer Feature Release Date
As per the Pokemon company, “Pokémon GO integration with Pokémon HOME will be available later this year!”.
Yeh, we know. But at least it’s confirmation that the feature will be rolling out before the end of 2020.
The creators of Pokemon Go, Niantic, have also given fans a bit more info on what else is planned, with a new blog post that’s gone live.
Speaking about the new Pokemon Home feature, Niantic told fans:
“When this integration goes live, limited-time events will be happening in Pokémon GO, featuring particular Pokémon.
“You will be able to activate the Mystery Box after you send a Pokémon to Pokémon HOME from Pokémon GO, and if you open the Mystery Box during the celebration event, youll have a chance of encountering a Shiny Meltan!”
Speaking of Meltan, it’s also been revealed that the unique steel type pokemon is coming to Sword and Shield.
Any player that transfers a Pokemon from Pokemon Go to Pokemon Home will receive a Melmetal.
Better still, it will also have the ability to Gigantamax.
Previously, players could only catch Melmetal after evolving a Meltan in Pokemon Go, and then transferring it to Pokemon: Let’s Go.
According to the information on the Pokemon official website, steel-type attacks used by Gigantamax Melmetal will also change to G-Max Meltdown.

Pokémon Home has finally extended its boxes to include Pokémon GO, meaning trainers from the mobile hunting game can finally transfer their mons to Home storage. The process is simple, but there are some restrictions.
To be able to transfer Pokémon from GO to Home, players will first need to have both apps on their phone. It’s possible to use the free version of Home and players can move their Pokémon from GO to Sword and Shield, as well. Just make sure it’s the right move, because once a Pokémon has been transferred from game to game, the switch can’t be reversed.
Pokémon have to be registered in the player’s Pokédex to be eligible to transfer and currently, only GO trainers at Level 21 or higher can transfer their mons.

Players who meet the requirements and can’t wait to free up space in Pokémon GO to catch more need to go to the settings in GO. There, they should select the Pokémon Home option to login and then tap Send Pokémon. This will bring them to a mandatory tutorial that shows them how to use a new item called the GO Transporter.

Pokmon Home: How To Transfer To And From Sword And Shield

The Crown Tundra is full of new and returning Pokémon that you can catch, but what about your old friends that have faithfully fought by your side in older games? Receiving these in Pokemon Home is very simple. Players should be notified upon opening the app that a transfer has been initiated and a pop-up will prompt them to accept the transfer. The only hiccups that could arise would likely be due to a lack of box space, which can be cleared up, or theres the option of upgrading to the premium service.

Pokmon That Change Form When Transferred To Pokmon Home
There are some Pokémon that will revert or change forms when transferred to Pokémon Home from Pokémon GO. The list below will help to prevent players from accidentally losing a special form of a Pokémon they got through an event or caught in the wild, and at an unfortunately steep energy transfer price, especially for Shiny or Legendary Pokémon which can cost up to the full 10,000 units of energy a player has to spend a week on transfers.

How To Transfer Pokmon From Pokmon Go To Pokmon Home
It is easy to activate, but there are some requirements you have to keep in mind.
Niantic and Game Freak have officially pushed the ability to transfer Pokémon the from Pokémon Go to Pokémon HOME live, though there are some important details you need to know.
First, you will need to link your Go game to your Nintendo Account to gain access to HOME. This can be done in the Settings tab in Go, and an option to do so should pop up once you launch the app for the first time after this update goes live.
Every transfer will use up Transporter Energy, which can be recovered over time. You will start with 10,000 Transporter Energy and it will recover at a rate of 60 energy per hour.
You can pay a set amount of PokéCoins to charge the Transported faster, but it is pretty pricy. You can also transfer multiple Pokémon at once, not just one despite the energy cost for some Pokémon being very steep.
Certain Pokémon will also be non-transferable or revert to a set form when sent to HOME from Go. No Pokémon sent from Go will be able to return once sent to Home, so double-check you selections before sending any Pokémon over.
As of now, only players that are level 40 in Go can utilize the HOME Transporter, though this is only because the feature is new.
Niantic will be rolling out the feature in level brackets just like with other new features in the past. This is to ensure that the HOME Transporter works properly before it reaches the masses.

Pokémon GO to Pokémon HOME transfer support has finally launched, but the restrictions on transfers are even worse than players expected.
The long-awaited feature allowing players to transfer Pokémon from Pokémon GO to Pokémon HOME has finally arrived, but the restrictions developer Niantic has placed on transferring are far worse than anyone had expected. Players can finally transfer all of their favorite Pokémon GO partners to the next generation of Pokémon, but it may take a few days or a few dollars.
Pokémon HOME launched in February of this year, allowing players to transfer Pokémon from their 3DS, and from Pokémon Let’s GO, to Pokémon: Sword & Shield. Since its release, however, players have begged for Pokémon GO transfer support. In September, Game Freak answered the call and announced that Pokémon HOME would be receiving Pokémon GO support later this year. The Pokémon community rejoiced for a short time before the leaks surfaced revealing disappointing restrictions. For months, Pokémon GO players have been let down by various HOME support leaks, but the restrictions on transfers are far worse than any leak foretold.

Transferring Pokmon From Pokmon Home To Pokmon Sword And Shield
You can only transfer Pokémon that you can catch in Pokémon Sword and Shield from Pokémon Home into those games. That means you cant transfer Pokémon like Wurmple to Pokémon Sword and Shield, but they can stay in Pokémon Home indefinitely, so long as you pay your subscription fees.
Mythical Pokémon like Mew and Victini can only transfer to Pokémon Sword and Shield if you already have a legitimate version of that Pokémon in your Pokédex. These Pokémon have been available through events for a number of years, but if you missed out youll need to trade with a friend before you can transfer a mythical Pokémon to the main series game.

Pokemon Go players will now be able to transfer their Pokemon creatures to another game with Pokemon Home connectivity. The feature allows players to send the Pokemon they have collected in the highly popular mobile AR game to the cloud-based service Pokemon Home that connects with other Pokemon games. Essentially, players can send their creatures to Pokemon Home on the Nintendo Switch, from where they can be used in Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield. However, it is a one-way transfer and you won’t be able to get your Pokemon back.
As described on the official Pokemon support page, Pokemon Go and Pokemon Home can be linked together. Players will need the mobile version and the Nintendo Switch version of Pokemon Home, both of which need to be linked to the same Nintendo account, in order to transfer creatures to Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield on the Switch. Also, you will need a paid Nintendo Switch Online membership to transfer Pokemon.
The Go Transporter can store up to 10,000 energy at once and players need to be at level 40 to transfer Pokemon from Pokemon Go to Pokemon Home.
Connect Pokemon Go To Your Nintendo Account
Before you can transfer a Pokemon, you’ll first need to connect Pokemon Go to the same Nintendo Account you have linked to Pokemon Home. After you’ve fired up the game, tap on the Poke Ball icon at the bottom of the screen and then select the Settings option in the top right-hand corner. Scroll down and tap Pokemon Home you’ll then be prompted to sign in with your Nintendo Account.

Receiving Pokmon In Pokmon Home
If youre using the Pokémon Home mobile app, simply open it and you should see a notification that Pokémon have transferred from Pokémon Go. Select Yes to receive the Pokémon and youll see them in your box.
If youre using Pokémon Home on the Nintendo Switch, you have to click the Pokémon Go button in the bottom right of your screen upon entering the app. Follow the instructions to complete the transfer.

Your Pokémon will know the moves it would ordinarily know at its level in Generation 8 the moves it has in Pokémon Go are irrelevant. However, your IVs will roughly match those of your Pokémon. Defense and Special Defense are taken from your Stamina statistic in Pokémon Go, Attack and Special Attack from your original Attack stat, and HP will roughly match HP. Speed is not a statistic in Pokémon Go, therefore this is entirely randomised.
Your Pokémon will also get a nature and ability, as these do not exist in Pokémon Go either.

Download Pokémon Home on your phone, launch it, and log in with your Nintendo account. Pokémon Home is available on iOS, Android, and Nintendo Switch. Pokémon Home has a subscription system. It costs $2.99 a month, $4.99 for three months, and $15.99 for 12 months. The subscription allows you to store more Pokémon. Without it, youll only be able to hold 30 at a time. With a subscription, you can hold up to 6,000 Pokémon.
You dont need the subscription to transfer Pokémon, but you will if you plan on holding more than 30 Pokémon in Pokémon Home.
How To Use The Go Transporter In Pokemon Go
The actual act of transferring your Pokemon takes place in a new menu option called the Go Transporter. To access it, you need to go to the settings menu in Pokemon Go. Scroll down a bit until you see a list of devices near the bottom. This is where you would also go to connect to a Nintendo Switch for the Pokemon Let’s Go games or a Pokemon Go Plus. There should be an option labeled Pokemon Home. Click on it – the first time you do it will ask you to sign in with your Nintendo account. Once that’s sorted, you can hit “Send Pokemon” to begin.
From here the menu should look familiar. Just select any Pokemon you wish to transfer, they’ll be highlighted in green.

Castform is a Pokemon that changes appearance and type based on the weather. The logical next step was for players to catch different Castform types based on their own local weather! It’s a pretty cool feature that increases the player’s immersion ten-fold.
Unfortunately, this hard work might be in vain if people want to send their Castforms over to Pokemon HOME. The game will let you, but it automatically changes the pokemon’s type back to its neutral form.
Pokmon Go To Pokmon Home Transfer
In 2020, Pokémon HOME was released as a storage platform for Pokémon in the main series Pokémon games. Having first connected to the main games with Pokémon Let’s Go, Pikachu! & Let’s Go, Eevee!, Pokémon GO connectivity to Pokémon HOME was released towards the end of 2020.
This transfer is only one way from Pokémon GO to Pokémon HOME so make sure that you select Pokémon you definitely want to transfer.
Certain Pokémon and Pokémon Costumes/Forms cannot be transferred. Mega Evolved Pokémon and Shadow Pokémon cannot be transferred.
After you have sent a Pokémon to HOME, they will need to be accepted into Pokémon HOME in the Pokémon HOME app where they will then be placed in the first available position in your boxes.
Once transferred, the Pokémon’s stats in the main series are calculated as they were in Pokémon Let’s Go, Pikachu! & Let’s Go, Eevee! transfer.
