It has 8 different steps and may take a while depending on the availability of Magikarps in your area , but eventually you will find your very own Mew and be able to capture it with a 100% success rate!
How To Photograph Mew In New Pokmon Snap
To lure Mew out of hiding in New Pokémon Snap, players will need to begin the Founja Jungle stage at Research Level 2. At the start of the level, before moving, players should turn the Neo-One around. They will see two Morelull.
Playing a Melody toward the Morelull on the research cameras music player will cause a magenta bubble to emerge from a cave behind them. Players will need to hit the sphere with a Fluffruit to get Mew to emerge from the orb for a few seconds. They will need to snap a quick photo before Mew returns to the orb and continues moving.
If players want to get a four-star shot of Mew at the end of the level, they need to hit the orb with a Fluffruit again and get more photos of Mew as they progress forward. If they dont manage to hit Mews orb or snap a photo, Mew will float deeper into the forest and disappear. Hitting Mew with Fluffruit and grabbing pictures ensures they will follow the player all the way to the end of the course.
Once players reach the ancient ruins and the waterfall, they will need to play the Melody again. Mew should then appear right in front of the Neo-One without the bubble. Players can take this opportunity to get a good close-up shot, which usually results in a four-star photo. Alternatively, they should be able to toss a Fluffruit to Mew and get a four-star photo of Mew eating it. By the end of the stage, players should have photos of Mew at all four possible star levels.
New Pokémon Snap is available for Nintendo Switch.

In the second part of your quest, you’ll be asked to earn two Candies by walking with your buddy, making 10 great throws, and hatching three eggs. The game allows you to choose one Pokémon who will accompany you outside their Poké Ball. If you walk a certain distance with your buddy, you will be rewarded with Candies. Since rarer Pokémon require greater distances before you are rewarded, it’s best to use the most common creatures you can find.
When trying to catch Pokémon, you can tap the screen at a certain time in order to improve the throw and increase the chances of catching it. When encountering a Pokémon, you will see a glowing ring moving inward. The smaller the circle is when you tap, the better the throw, so keep this in mind when you’re trying to get a great throw multiplier.

What’s The Best Moveset For Mew
Mew can learn Fast and Charge Moves of all types, making picking the best moveset equal parts math and feels. Mew won’t be topping any attacker or defenders charts, so go for what the numbers say is best or your personal favorites.
Since, given the variety, it will take a ton of TMs to get what you want anyway, and it won’t make a huge difference given Mew’s stats, you can simply keep what you get. If you really want to try your luck in the TM lottery, go for something that works well against whatever you typically fight the most, and have fun with it.

The Mew Quest Evolution Of Magikarp
Dont give up now because you will regret it for a long time if you do.
Reach Level 25, Battle in 10 Raids
Since you have come this far through the game, you have most likely taken things to the 25th level of the game. You have also attempted to catch Ditto in the previous task and participated in different events, so my best guess is that two tasks of this set have already been completed.
Evolve a Magikarp
To evolve a Magikarp, you need to have a massive amount of 400 candies in your stock. This task will also take time as gaining 400 candies is not something that will happen overnight, but if you stuff your Magikarp with plenty of Pinap berries, it will double the number of your candies.
Rewards: 3000Xp for each task, 6000 Stardust, 5 Rare Candy, and 3 Incense

> Here’s Exactly How To Track Pokemon Using Those Footprints At The Bottom Of Your Screen
While we’re all desperately trying to find where on earth the likes of Articuno, Zapdos or Ditto are – three Pokémon no-one’s seemed to have found – the elite of the Pokéfans out there have come up with a pretty-valid theory as to where to find Mew.
It’s well-known that the digital creatures can be found in a location based on their traits. Just try to walk ten feet through Leicester Square without being bombarded by Rattatas or Pidgeys. It’s impossible. Based on this theory, Mew has to be where Mew would reside.
Now jump back to the days of riding your bike with stabilisers, being scared you’ll catch cooties if you sat next to someone of the opposite sex and – most importantly – spending 97% of your life playing on the Game Boy. In the Pokémon video game, an old researcher of the creatures noted in his diaries that they’d found a Pokémon – which they named Mew – in the jungle of Guyana, South America.
So that is 110% scientific proof that Mew is legitimately in the rainforest of South America, and that we should all go there immediately. It’s definitely not a screen grab that someone posted on Tumblr to troll everyone, is it?

Special Research Quests Explained
Special Research are story-driven quests that require you to perform eight different stages of objectives, which generally cover all aspects of the game from evolving Pokémon to battling in raids. They aren’t to be confused with Field Research quests, which offer quick-fire daily quests for a little reward.
While you have to complete objectives at the point you unlock them, you can prepare for certain tasks ahead of time. Good examples of these are earning medials, reaching a certain level, or evolving certain Pokémon.
To help you prepare, we’ve got a list of every single objective, organised by stage, below. So go ahead and check what you have to do to beat the quest. We’ll pop an asterix by the quests you can work on ahead of time so you can instantly recognise them.
The Mew Quest Hatch Eggs
You are doing good, my friend. You are just a few steps away from your prize.
Earn 2 Candies
As you level up the quest, your tasks will also start to progress and require you to put in the extra effort. For this task, you need to set Caterpie or Magikarp as your buddy and start looking for the candies. Earn the candies but keep one thing in mind: you cannot use them to evolve your Pokemon.
Make 10 Great Throws
The next step will require you to be precise with your throwing technique. You have to throw it so that it will hit the bullseye circle right in the middle. Although you dont have to worry, even if you go a little small, it will still get counted as a great throw.
Hatch 3 Eggs
This step is also pretty easy and wont take much of your time and effort. You have to hatch three eggs to complete this task, with each egg having a specific distance for hatching. Select your lowest distance incubator, place your egg and then take a short trip with your buddy.
Rewards: 1000XP for each challenge, 2000 Stardust, 3 Incense, and 20 Great Balls.
