Pokmon Go: Best Movesets August 2021

How to Get Magnezone, Leafeon, Glaceon, Probopass in Pokémon GO! Rankings, Best Movesets

While it may seem like Combat Power or stats are the most important factors in Pokémon Go, movesets play a critical role as well. Movesets are the combination of the fast attack and charged attack your Pokémon uses in battles.

The wonderful, terrible thing about movesets is that they’re usually determined at random. The good news is that, with Technical Machines and Elite TMs, you change your old, terrible moves. But how do you know which movesets will help your Pokémon win at PvP Trainer Battles and decimate Gyms and Raids and which will make a fight simply unwinnable? Here’s the newly updated list! And be sure to check out our best Pokémon Go accessories to take your game to the next level!

The Best Sylveon Moveset In Pokmon Go

It might not be at the level many expect right away.

With Sylveon now available in Pokémon Go, players have access to a powerful Fairy-type that has seen a lot of competitive use in the main series Pokémon games over the years.

The stat distribution and small movepool seems to have made Sylveon less viable as an option compared to its mainline counterpart, but that doesnt mean you shouldnt still consider it for your team.

Sylveon has 203 attack, 205 defense, 216 stamina, and a max CP of 3,470 at level 50, which puts it slightly above average in each of those categories. This means it is usable in all three variants of the Go Battle League, but it wont be a standout in its role.

It is a fine option for PvE battles since it can take a hit and strike back with a powerful combo of Charm and Dazzling Gleam. Its the only moveset you will want to use in that scenario since it is the fastest and most powerful option.

In PvP, you are likely going to want to ditch Dazzling Gleam in favor of Moonblast for the first Charge Move and then pair it with Last Resort for a non-Fairy-type option. Charm is still your best bet for a Quick Move since it is significantly more powerful than Quick Attack.

Overall, Sylveon is a solid option, especially if you dont have easy access to a competitive Togekiss or other Pokémon that outclass it. Once it gets access to more moves, however, the Fairy-type Eeveelution could jump up in usage.

Razor Leaf Or Bullet Seed* + Leaf Blade And Last Resort*

Razor Leaf and Bullet Seed are almost polar opposites of each other. The former features very high raw damage with STAB, while the latter offers neutral below-average damage for much higher energy gains. Quick Attack lacks STAB and can’t be Super Effective against anything.

Leaf Blade is Leafeon’s best charge move, as it gets STAB, costs low amounts of energy, and has a high 2.0 DPE . It’s also superior to all of Leafeon’s other Grass-type charge moves. Last Resort is recommended as the second choice due to it providing neutral coverage.

When Can We Evolve Eevee To Sylveon

We will still have to wait a bit to get Sylveons evolution in Pokémon GO, the only one of Eevee that is missing . This is a sixth generation Pokémon, so considering that we are still enjoying the fourth, which came to the game in October 2018 , it seems that at least until 2020 we will not see it.

Have these methods worked for you to get Eevee evolutions? What is that you like?

What About Secondary Charge Moves In Pokmon Go

Best Pokémon Go gym defenders and strategies to get coins ...

With PvP Trainer Battles, Niantic also introduced secondary Charge Moves. You can buy them with Stardust and Candy, and TM them to whatever it is you need. So, what do you need? Typically, variety. If the best Charge Move is a full bar, get a secondary that’s multi-bar. If there are two possible types for the Charged move, get both. For example, a Mewtwo with Shadow Ball or Psystrike is incredible, but one with both? Gamebreaker! However, adding a second Charge Move is expensive so make sure there is a good secondary move before spending on this upgrade.

How To Evolve Eevee To Glaceon

While standing within spinning distance of the PokeStop, players need to go into their Pokemon collection and select an Eevee. Assuming they have at least 25 Eevee candy and are within spinning distance of the PokeStop, they should now have the option to evolve Eevee into Glaceon.

As one might imagine, getting Leafeon in Pokemon GO is handled in largely the same way, except with the Mossy Lure Module instead of the Glacial Lure Module. The Mossy Lure Module costs 200 coins as well, and so it will require the same money or time investment for anyone looking to add all of the Eeveelutions to their collection.

Vaporeon: Scald Ice Beam Wish Heal Bell

Many veteran Pokémon players and Water-type fans talk at length about bulky waters. With their lack of weaknesses, tanky Water-types make for vital parts of many team cores and Vaporeon fills this role well. Its strengths are its titantic HP and solid Special Defense . It doesnt really appreciate taking physical hits, but its high Special Attack allows it to retaliate much harder than foes may be expecting.

This set aims to make the best of its strengths, offering a lot of offense as well as healing and team support.

How To Use Poke Radar For Pokemon Go

How to get Leafeon & Glaceon in Pokemon Go! | New Eeveelution Name Trick | How to use the new Lures!

Now that you understand how Poke Radar for Pokemon Go works , you must also know how to use it. To find out, you first need to activate your GPS and connect to the Poké Radar. If you have an iOS or Android device, you can also download the free Poké Radar app from the iTunes Store or Google Play.

When you connect, Poké Radar should find your location and show you on the map. If it doesnt, check your GPS or go to the point on the map where you want to see what Pokémon are there. Now you will see orange, yellow or green areas . If you select one, the map will be enlarged and more will appear. At the same time, you will see the Pokémon that have been sighted in this area. When you see the one you care about, pick one. Otherwise, use the filters to focus your search.

Once youve spotted it and selected it, youll see the Pokémons name and when it was sighted . Then you can use the Get Option Directions choose to get directions and this on Google Maps display. Once you have the GPS coordinates you can get an idea of how Poke Radar for Pokemon Go works and how to use it.

Once youve extrapolated this information, its time to start looking for the Pokémon. Once you are near the marked location, all you have to do is open Pokémon GO and walk around to find Pokemon nearby. Most likely, you will see it within minutes.

What Does Shiny Eevee Look Like In Pokmon Go

Community Days in Pokémon Go are, due to the increased spawn rate, the perfect opportunity to hunt down the shiny version of a Pokémon.

Youre far more likely to find a shiny version of the highlighted Pokémon on its Community Day not only because the shiny rate will be higher, but catching more of the same type increases the likelihood of finding one too.

Its easy to tell when youve found a shiny Pokemon because the encounter will begin with a flurry of stars, a shiny icon will appear next to its name, and its colouring will be different.

Shiny Eevee isnt new to the game weve had an Eevee Community Day before, back in August 2018 so chances are youve already seen these on your travels, or even got a few shinies yourself. But heres a preview of all the shiny Eevees you can collect:

Thanks to VozMicke on reddit for the shiny Sylveon image above.

If you want to evolve a shiny Eevee and use that evolution for competitive reasons, we recommend waiting until the tailend of the Community Day to ensure you have one with the best IVs. You discover which is the best Eevee by searching your Pokémon collection using 3* and 4*.

Dont forget you have until 10am PDT / 6pm BST on Monday to earn the exclusive move via evolution. After that, youll have to use an Elite Charged TM.

Take Advantage Of Its Low Hp And Knock It Out With Super Effective Damage

Although Glaceon has high Defense and Special Defense, its HP is middling, allowing a heavy-hitting Rock- or Steel-type attack to take it out with relative ease.

As it frequently holds Mirror Coat, its important to watch out when trying to hit a weak point with a Special attacker.

How To Get Glaceon In Pokemon Go

Glaceon Pokemon Go is one of the many evolutions by Eevee. This pokemon can be evolved into a number of different types of evolutions depending on the way that has been used to evolve Eevee. Heres how to get Pokemon Go Glaceon from Eevee:

  • The first way to get Glaceon from Eevee is easy. Players will have to rename Eevee as Rea to evolve it into ice-type Glaceon
  • The second way of evolving Eevee into Glaceon is by giving Eevee a Glacial Lure to hold.

Pokemon Go: Leafeon Move Analysis

Pokemon Go: How To Evolve Eevee Into Leafeon Or Glaceon

After taking a dive into all the moves Leafeon has available to it in Pokemon GO, the move list is broken into two Fast Moves, three Charge Moves, and a Legacy Charge Move:

Fast Moves

Legacy Charge Moves

  • Last Resort

Since most Pokemon retain five total moves on their move list, Leafeon has a little bit more diversity, albeit one move being a hard-to-obtain Legacy Charge Move. Picking the right moves can be tricky, but thankfully Pokemon GO’s community has compiled stats on Leafeons movesets so that trainers can make the call for what moves they need.

As of July 2021, the best overall combination of moves for Leafeon with regards to damage are Razor Leaf and Leaf Blade for both PvE and PvP. These moves provide the highest Damage Per Second and Total Damage Overall when compared to all other possible movesets for Leafeon at this time.

Razor Leaf in general is just a great Grass-type move, especially for Grass-type Pokemon able to take advantage of its STAB damage bonus. While Leaf Blade doesn’t hit as hard as Solar Beam or Energy Ball, it charges significantly faster by comparison and can often be used multiple times per bout when charged quickly enough with a move like Razor Leaf.

When it comes to Damage Per Energy , Leaf Blade also holds up well over the other options.

In the event an opposing Pokemon is resisting Leafeon’s Grass-type attacks, having a Normal-type move like Last Resort is beneficial.

How To Catch An Eevee In Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl

Raising Pokemon has always been a multistep process, and that process has begun more often than not with the fine art of tossing Poke Balls at their heads until they relent and join your party. In Pokemon BDSP, you must find an Eevee first before you can obtain a Leafeon. Lets go over how exactly to make that happen.

Eevee doesnt show up on any regional routes or even in caves of any kind. Instead, you will need to fulfill a considerable qualification before you can receive one you need to become the Sinnoh Champion. Put another way, you cannot get an Eevee in Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl until after youve beaten the game.

Its a bummer, but its also true to form this is how things were in the original Diamond & Pearl, after all. Thankfully, once youve become the champion theres very little left that you need to do.

  • Fly to Sandgem Town and strike up a conversation with Professor Rowan.
  • Now fly to Hearthome City, enter Bebes house, and have a chat with her.
  • Bebe hands you an Eevee, no questions asked!
  • Not exactly an arduous endeavor.

    Ice Shard

In contrast to the previous build, this build instead takes advantage of Glaceons high Defense and Special Defense to make a set that holds the line through enemy fire, then lashes out with its own barrage. Special attackers can be dispatched with Mirror Coat, while Freeze-Dry serves as its main weapon.

Its primary weak point is dealing with Special Defense tanks like Gyarados and Togekiss, who wont keel over even after taking a super effective attack head-on. Try to avoid these matchups instead of falling prey to them.

    About Glaceons EV Spread

The EVs here are organized to allow it to maximize the possible damage from Mirror Coat, placing 252 EVs in HP. On the Defense end, its got the numbers to survive a Fishious Rend from a Jolly Dracovish with a Choice Scarf, while on Special Defense it can survive an Overheat from Heat Rotom as long as it doesnt have Choice Specs.

Its Special Attack stat wont change regardless of if it has 76 or 80 EVs, so the remaining 4 have been placed in Speed so they dont go to waste and allowing it to outspeed other Pokemon with a base 65 Speed.

    Other Viable Moves

Prevents opponents from using Glaceon to set up. When used together with Mirror Coat, Max Mindstorm can overwrite Electric Terrain and Misty Terrain to prevent negating Yawns effects.

The intriguing new phenomenon of Dynamax leaves players with a lot of questions. Questions like, what new wrinkles will the Crown Tundra DLCs Dynamax Adventures add to the mix? Not to mention: Wait, Dig is actually a decent competitive moveset option?

Thats right. Dig is a single-turn Dynamax Ground move that can be a huge boon when it comes to coverage. In this case, Leafeon can finally hit Fire- and Steel-types decently hard. Its best used as a surprisingly tanky physical attacker , and this set allows it to perform that role quite well in and out of Dynamax.

Before we continue, lets just say that in every of the five types that the Eevee family covers, there are already better attackers available. How do they fare against the Raid Bosses that they would most often face? Are they still useful for filling gaps in your WaterFireElectricPsychicDarkGrass and Ice type battle teams? Lets find out!
