After all that walking, stage 6 seems positively relaxing. Youre on this stage for a week anyway so keeping on top of Pinap Berries shouldnt be too tricky and, if you arent sure of which Pokemon can be evolved with items, check out our Pokemon Go evolution items guide. Between a combination of the Upgrade for Porygon at the end of the previous quest and the seven day Poke Stop streak, you should enough items to complete the task. If you still have any spare Sunkerns, the upgrade to Sunflora could be exactly what you need here without the 100 candy demands of other item evolutions.

These Special Researches introduce the player to unique Mythical Pokémon. These researches reward a single non-Shiny Mythical Pokémon that cannot be traded or sent back to Professor Willow. With the exception of Mew, those Mythical Pokémon are introduced first as exclusive rewards during the paying GO Fest annual event before being available to other players, free of charge, through a different Special Research that becomes available a few months later.

What Is A Legendary Raid And How Does It Work
In Pokémon Go, there are five distinct levels of raids. The first tier of raids is the simplest to complete, but the prizes arent as spectacular. The tougher the competition becomes as you go through the levels.
Raids are usually held at your local gym and include a variety of timed activities. A raid may have up to 20 trainers, since raid bosses can be very difficult to defeat. For these events, there are both private and public raid rooms available. You may select your group and how you wish to approach each raid this way.

A Ripple In Time Part 5
You must do everything you did with Eevee in the last stage, only this time you will evolve the Pokémon at night. Assign Eevee as your buddy, walk 10 km again, and then use 25 Candies to evolve it into Umbreon at night. The only other thing you have to do to move forward is complete a trade with another player.
In order to perform a trade, you must be in close proximity to another player in real life. When determining which Pokémon to trade with another player, its important to consider the price you will have to pay for the deal. Pokémon already in a players Pokédex will cost less than if you were to receive a creature you havent seen yet.
Celebi Stats And What You Need To Know About Celebi In Pokmon Go
Celebi is the second Pokémon Mythical Pokémon and the last entry of Generation 2 Pokédex. While Legendary Pokémon are powerful beasts that are captured in the game using specific steps, Mythic Pokémon can only be added to the game via real-world giveaways and , later, online events.
Although his attacks have not yet been revealed, Celebi is both a Psychic and Grass Pokémon, making him vulnerable to Fire, Insect, Dark and Ghost attacks. This fact, together with the low statistics, make Celebi continue the tendency of Mythical creatures to be of little use in competition.
However, its rarity is enough that the time you spend completing Special Research is worth it. Whats more, this is one of the Pokémon you wont be able to trade.
More will arrive in the near future. Like Legendary Pokémon, each generation adds one or two of these creatures like generation 3- Jirachi and Deoxys, and it looks like they will arrive in the game along with their respective Special Research sometime in the future.

How Celebi Event A Ripple In Time Works In Pokmon Go
Catching Celebi works much like Mew did back in the first half of 2018, becoming available as part of a Special Research quest line named A Ripple in Time.
To get started, you need to have completed the third group of tasks for MewsA Mythical Discovery. Like Mew, theres no time limit to completing the quest line so take your time!
Celebi is also has also recieved its shiny form in Pokémon Go. This form first came available during the December 2020 Secrets of the Jungle event and, if you played Pokémon Go during this event, youd unlocked the Distracted by Something Shiny special research quest. Completing this questline would result in you catching shiny Celebi!
The quest is broken down into eight stages, with multiple challenges to complete per stage. By completing every step of the Special Research quest, the Mythical creature will be given to players as a reward.
Though these are similar to Field Research quests, the specific steps are fixed for every player so if you dont mind spoilers, you can plan ahead and learn what you need to do to complete them all catch Celebi which is useful as youll need to undertake Raid and Gym battles along the way.
If you already caught Celebi by taking part in Chicagos Go Fest, then completing the many tasks will earn you Candy to help power Celebi up.

Celebi Research Step 5 Of 8
- Walk 10 km with Eevee as your buddy
- Evolve Eevee into Umbreon at night
- Trade a Pokémon
Rewards: 1 Star Piece, 15 Pinap Berries, 1 Up-grade
Similarly to Espeon, you can rename your Eevee to Tamao to get a guaranteed Umbreon once. If youve already done this, you will have to walk the 10 km with your buddy Eevee and then select to evolve it at night to score your Umbreon. Just like Espeon, make sure to evolve the Eevee when its still set as your buddy, or you wont get the Umbreon.

A Ripple In Time Part 7
The tasks in part seven work well together, so you can earn your way to completing all three at the same time. You must catch 30 Grass- or Psychic-type Pokémon, which means you should probably hang out in a grassy area for a while. Psychic Pokémon don’t have a set area they like to populate, so you’re better of targeting Grass-types if you can.
While you’re busy working to catch those 30 Pokémon, you can also practice your throwing technique because you need to perform an Excellent Curveball Throw. When you encounter a Pokémon, you can actually control where and when you throw the Poké Ball. Time your throw when the glowing ring is at its smallest and your throw will be considered better. To perform a Curveball, you need to spin the Poké Ball in a circle and release it in such a way that it lands inside the circle in front of the Pokémon. If you do it right, you’ll perform an Excellent Curveball Throw, and you’ll pass this part of the quest.
While you’re off catching Pokémon, hopefully you’re also racking up the amount of critters you have seen before you need to earn the gold Johto Medal in order to continue on. To earn this medal, you will have to fill your Pokédex with 100 Pokémon from the Johto region.
So What’s So Special About Celebi Anyway
Looking at all of the steps involved in catching a Celebi, you might be wondering what the big deal is, and whether it’s all worth it. Well, the answer really depends on how serious you are about filling up your Pokedex, as it’s hard to argue how important it is to have a Celebi now that everyone else is picking it up. At the very least, Celebi is a mythical Pokemon so could be valuable in trades, and will likely become relevant again in the future, just like Mew has.

Helpful notes: You have to gain 2 buddy candies from walking 10km with an Eevee, while this stage of the quest is active, to be able evolve it into Umbreon. Any candies gained before starting this stage wont count towards your progress. Also, if you change your buddy part way through the task, you will have to start that 5 km again and walk further than 10km in total, to gain the two candies.

Celebi is a mythical Pokemon that cant be caught like the other normal Pokemon in the game. Getting your hands on one can only be done by completing special research tasks which will reward the players with a Celebi encounter. In total there are two questlines in the game that will lead the players to two different Celebi, one is the normal variant and the other is a shiny variant.

How To Catch Celebi In Pokemon Go
Celebi is a Mythical Pokemon that cant be caught through any normal means in Pokemon GO.
The Time Travel Pokemon cant be caught in raids or in the wild. The only way to get one is to complete special research tasks all the way through to the end, which rewards players with a Celebi encounter.
However, there are only two questlines in the game that will lead to a Celebi, one normal and the other a shiny.
The normal Celebi can be caught at the end of the research task called A Ripple in Time. Its been in the game for longer than the second one, and it also has a longer questline in comparison.
There are 8 different stages for players to go through, and each stage has three tasks, which gives a total of 24 total tasks to complete.
Like many longer research tasks, they arent about difficulty but rather about having the patience to acquire items and Pokemon.

Trainer, I have some exciting news! That funny feeling hasn’t returned, but I did some important reading and learned that the Mythical Pokémon we’re researching has the ability to travel across time! Maybe that’s why all of this is occurring…or recurring… Maybe this Pokémon is nearby?! I suggest that you collect samples over the course of the next week and experiment with some Evolution items to see whether that feeling occurs again. How To Make Excellent Curve Throw
Making an excellent curve throw requires practice. Its best to work on your curve balls and making excellent throws by practicing catching Pokemon.
Practice Throws On Legendary Pokemon
Since the capture circle is bigger when catching legendary Pokemon, its the perfect opportunity to practice making excellent curve throws.
- Evolve Eevee into Espeon during the day
- Walk 10km with Eevee as your buddy to earn candy

So no, this definitely isnt as fast as the Mew quest and you are going to have to get your shoes on again. Its a good thing you just got an Eevee at the end of the last quest, eh? Set this Eevee or any other Eevee as your buddy Pokemon and get walking.
You have to earn two candy with that buddy Eevee and walk the full 10km to tick off one of the requirements. This will also guarantee your Espeon when you evolve the during the day. Keep your Eevee as your buddy while evolving, make sure it is not night time in the game and you will get the right Eeveelution.
Note that if you have done the naming trick once to guarantee your evolution, this is not guaranteed to work again so do the walk and earn the candies to make sure it recognises the quest.
Friends wise, if youre having problems finding people, head to Twitter for new friends and then get spinning Poke Stops for gifts. Youll probably have sent 20 or so by the time you have walked your 10km with Eevee on your shoulder anyway.
Pokmon Go: A Ripple In Time Celebi Quest Guide
Catching Celebi, the Legendary, time traveling Pokémon, requires completing a large number of tasks in Pokémon Go. The long string of quests, called A Ripple in Time, can be found on the Special Research Tasks tab.
