Joining A Raid Battle

TOP 10! TIPS & TRICKS YOU NEED TO KNOW POKEMON GO (2020)

Raid battles are arguably Pokemon Gos biggest feature. Once you hit level 20, you can access raid events in which a powerful Boss Pokemon appears at certain times of the day. If there’s a raid happening close to you, you get a notification and have the chance to join. But if you walk right up to a gym, youll be disappointed when the bouncer at the door asks for a Raid Pass or Premium Raid Pass and you don’t have one. These can be gotten by going to a gym and spinning the photo disc. Only one raid pass can be used per day, otherwise, you need to purchase a Premium Raid Pass from the shop to participate in raid battles more often.

How To Get Pokemon Candy And Evolve Pokemon

Pokemon don’t level up in the traditional sense in Pokemon Go. Instead, you power up and evolve your monsters by feeding them candy. Each time you capture a Pokemon, you’ll earn candy for that species for example, catching a Bulbasaur will net you three Bulbasaur candies. You can then feed that candy to the Pokemon from its status screen to increase its Combat Power or evolve it. This encourages you to capture as many Pokemon as you can, even if you already have a monster of that species. You can also double the amount of candy you earn from a wild Pokemon by feeding it a Pinap Berry before catching it.

You need to catch lots of Pokemon to earn enough candy to power up and evolve them.

Since candy is required to power up and evolve your Pokemon, the best way to stockpile candy is to “catch and release” — repeatedly capture wild Pokemon and transfer ones with poorer stats to Professor Willow. You can view a Pokemon’s stats by tapping Appraise from its status screen. If the monster’s not to your liking, tap Transfer to send it away. This will remove the Pokemon from your collection permanently, but you’ll receive one candy in return.

How To Make Friends And Trade Pokmon

New to Pokémon Go is the ability to trade Pokémon with friends a feature players have been clamoring for. Trading is a complicated system, though, and requires you to put in a lot of effort to make it work.

First, theres a new Friend tab on your Trainer menu, which allows you to add friends using a Friend Code. You can add friends regardless of physical proximity if you have the code, and you can interact with them in some ways even if theyre not around to play with. Your capabilities with friends is determined by your Friendship Level the higher the level, the better, specifically for trading Pokémon.

You can only trade Pokémon with people youve added to your friend list, and they have to be physically close to you in order for the trade to happen. Trades will also cost you Stardust, but making trades earns you candies for the Pokémon type you trade. Common Pokémon you already have in your Pokédex are relatively cheap and easy to trade, but Legendary Pokémon and Pokémon you dont have in your Pokédex already require Special trades, and you can only execute one of those per day.

Focus On Xp Before You Power Up Pokemon

It will take a lot more Candies to power up your Pokemon if you have low XP, and therefore may be prudent to wait until you have more XP.

Some quick ways to initially gain a lot of XP are to catch Pokemon , interact with new Pokestops and add friends and send them gifts. Adding friends is especially useful because you can get a lot of XP whenever you move up in friend levels with someone. When you become Best Friends, you get a Lucky Egg, which, when used, can double any XP you get.

Evolve Your Low Level Duplicates For Big Xp

Best Pokémon Go tips and tricks for August 2020

If you want a better chance of finding rare and legendary Pokemon, you need to keep increasing your overall player level. Although it can be quite a grind trying to get this number up, theres already a pretty reliable way to earn XP quickly. Essentially, you want to capture as many common, low level Pokemon as possible. For our purposes, Pidgey, Weedle, and Caterpie are probably the best bet, as they can be found anywhere and everywhere. The reason for this is that they only require 12 candy to evolve and every time you evolve one, you get 500 XP.

If you have a Lucky Egg in your possession, this exploit becomes even more lucrative, as cracking one of those nets you double XP for a 30 minutes. Once you have a good number of crap Pokemon and candies saved up, pop a lucky egg and start evolving them like mad. You can easily net yourself anywhere between 50,000 and 90,000 XP, which means that it actually pays to keep catching those garbage Pokemon.

Use Your Golden Razz Berry Or Silver Pinap Berry With Purpose

The Golden Razz Berry and Silver Pinap Berry are basically the ultimate berry. They’re really good for helping catch important Pokemon that just don’t want to be caught. If you’ve been after something for ages and nothing is working, the Golden Razz Berry will probably make it happen. The Silver Pinap Berry will give you extra candies too when you catch that Pokemon.

However, you can also feed the Golden Razz Berry to Pokemon you have in a Gym. When your Pokemon is feeling miserable and needs some attention – basically to keep it in top fighting form – then the Golden Razz Berry takes it right back to the top. If you want to hang onto that Gym, this really helps.

Throw Your Pokeball Right

Most players struggle while catching a new Pokemon because they throw their Pokeball wrong. In case you didnt know, there is a trick to do it right. The best way is to throw a curveball.

Once you are ready to throw your Pokeball, you need to spin the curveball before tossing it. Using this technique, you can also get an idea about the type of Pokemon you are capturing. If you can do this right, you will be able to catch Pokemon in the first throw.

How To Train And Evolve Your Pokmon

Your goal may be catching one of every Pokémon, but you need to grab many Pokémon to be successful in Pokémon Go. The only way to power up and evolve your Pokémon is by feeding them candies and Stardust, which are collected by catching Pokémon, hatching Pokémon, making a Pokémon your buddy and walking with it, and by transferring them to Professor Willow. You can transfer Pokémon you dont want by highlighting them on the Pokémon Menu Screen and choosing the Transfer menu option, and you can evolve Pokémon by choosing Evolve when you select one on the Pokémon Menu.

Evolving your Pokémon is one of the main goals of the game, but it takes effort. In order to evolve, say, an Eevee, you will need 25 Eevee candies, which only come from catching or hatching Eevees or from Pokémon that evolve from Eevee. Every Eevee you catch nets you three candies, and transferring them grants you another per transferred Pokémon. So, for each extra Eevee you catch and transfer, you get four candies, meaning youll need to catch seven Eevees in total to evolve just one.

Different Pokémon evolutions require different amounts of candies. Evolving a Ghastly to Haunter, for example, only requires 25 Ghastly candies, whereas evolving a Haunter to a Gengar will require another 100 Ghastly candies. If you want to evolve a Magikarp to a Gyarados, youll need a whopping 400 Magikarp candies.

    Walk Around To Spawn Pokemon

How To Manage Your Pokemon Storage In Pokémon GO! (2020)

The most basic way to spawn and catch Pokemon is to walk around the area! Simply walking around will make Pokemon appear for you to encounter them.

Increase Spawn Rate With Lures & Incense

Items such as Lures and Incense increase the spawn rate of a Pokemon. Lures are dropped onto Poke Stops to draw Pokemon near them while Incense lures Pokemon near you when you are walking around.

Tip #: Farm As Many Resources As Possible

Theres no right amount of balls/Pinaps to save for CD, it all depends on how much youre willing to play. If you want to play as much as possible during both days, Id strongly recommend to farm 2000+ balls and some berries while youre at it.

Some CD Pokémon dont have very high catch rates, so Id try to get as many Ultraballs as possible as itll make things easier and youll be able to catch Pokémon faster. You wont have much time to restock on Pokéballs again between Saturday and Sunday, so its better to be prepared ahead of time.

Gen V: An Ounce Of Preparation

Much like the Sinnoh Stone in Gen IV, now that Gen V has been added to the game, players can also obtain the Unova Stone. This evolution item only works for a handful of Pokémon so far, but more are likely to be added down the line. Using the Unova Stone and 100 candies, you can evolve:

There’s A Range Of Daily Activities To Complete

Field Research tasks were introduced in 2018 and are a great way to keep yourself busy in Pokémon Go.

Each task is basically a little challenge for you to complete. It could be anything from catching 10 Normal type Pokémon to hatching 5 eggs. You’ll receive a reward for completing a Field Research Task, which including encounters, Stardust, Rare Candy and other rewards.

You receive Field Research Tasks by spinning PokéStops and you can have up to three different Field Research Tasks active at one time.

Completing a specific Field Research Task is also the only way you can encounter Spinda – a Normal type Pokémon from Gen 3. Every month a new form of Spinda is released and every month it is hidden by specific, usually quite hard, Field Research Task.

Also, for every day you complete a Field Research Task, you’ll receive a stamp – seven stamps equals a Research Breakthrough. Not only will this supply you with even better rewards, possibly including a Sinnoh Stone, but you will get the chance to catch either a very rare or Legendary Pokémon.

Don’t forget to collect your daily and weekly experience bonuses from catching your first Pokémon and spinning your first PokéStop of the day either!

Kick Any Pokmon Out Of A Gym In Pokmon Go

How To Manage Your Pokemon Storage In Pokémon GO! (2020) | BEST Tips & Tricks Nickname Strategy!

If you have three players with you and you need to kick a Pokémon out of a Gym, even a fully powered Blissey, you can do it. And not even Golden Razz can stop you. Just follow these easy steps:

  • Start a Gym battle with three players.
  • Players one and two drop out immediately while Player three keeps battling.
  • Players one and two join a new battle.
  • Player one drops out immediately while Player two keeps battling.
  • Player one joins a new battle and keeps battling.
  • Players one, two, and three all finish the battle at the same time.
  • Because Pokémon Go treats all the battles staged this way as separate encounters, it calculates all three sets of damage separately, knocking the Pokémon out immediately. No chance to Golden Razz.

Choose A Team And Switch If You Want To

When you reach Level 5, you can visit a Gym and join one of the three teams: Team Mystic/blue, Team Valor/red, or Team Instinct/yellow. Each team has a leader and represents one of the three Legendary Birds: Articuno for blue, Moltres for red, and Zapdos for yellow.

If you want to switch your team later in the game, you can do so by purchasing a team medallion, which is roughly $10, and a single-use item that can also be earned through regular play. But note that after you swap teams, any Pokemon that are defending the Gyms will be returned to you with zero PokeCoins once they are defeated.

Gym Battling And Raids In Pokmon Go

Gyms are the home of two very important activities in Pokémon Go – Gym Battles and Raids.

Like PokéStops, Gyms are scattered across the map and has a specific colour depending on which Team is currently holding it – blue for Mystic, red for Valor and yellow for Instinct.

If you’re team is protecting a Gym, then you can add a Pokémon to its defense team. Depending on how long your Pokémon guards the Gym for, you’ll be rewarded with some PokéCoins.

You can also support your fellow teammates by feeding their Pokémon Berries, increasing their motivation to stay defending the Gym.

If a rival team is holding a Gym, however, you can battle their Pokémon until they’re all knocked out, granting you the ability to take over the Gym.

Gyms are also where Raids take place.

Raids are when you can fight a specific Pokémon, by yourself or as part of a team, with the hope that, once its defeated, you’ll be able to catch it.

The Pokémon available in Raids regularly change and can be anything from a Legendary Pokémon, like Entei, to a terrifyingly large Magikarp. There are also special Raid events, such as Raid Hour, where certain Pokémon are more likely to appear.

Use Html To Change Pokemon Names

When choosing what to nickname your pokemon, there are more subtle choices than you might think. While you edit a name, you can insert specific HTML code to change how your pokemon’s name looks, making the name either bold or italic.

To make a pokemon’s name italicized, enter nickname, and the pokemon’s name on its personal page will have the altered font. However, it won’t change when looking at the list of pokemon in your storage, instead showing the full string of HTML formatting.

To make a pokemon’s name Bold, enter nickname, and the pokemon’s name will be noticeably more bolded in their own page. Again, it won’t change when looking at all the pokemon in your storage, instead showing the brackets until you tap on that pokemon.

It’s Well Worth Practising Your Curveballs

Throwing, and catching, a Pokémon in a Curveball will grant you some extra experience and make it easier to catch difficult creatures – such as those in Raids or Shadow Pokémon encounters.

Curveballs are PokéBalls you’ve spun before throwing and then, upon their release, curve in the direction you’ve rotated them in. A PokéBall rotated clockwise, for example, will curve in a clockwise direction.

The trick to throwing Curveball is the starting by rotating the PokéBall around. You then want to drag the PokéBall down into the left-hand corner of the screen, continuing the spinning motion, and then release it when the PokéBall is at the same height as the Pokémon.

Assuming the Pokémon doesn’t move, the PokéBall should land on target.

Below you can watch YouTuber MegaToysCollector show the L-throw technique in action:

You can also receive extra bonuses for Nice, Great and Excellent catches, which are achieved by throwing PokéBalls within a shrinking circle.
