Another dark Pokémon fan theory claims Ash doesn’t age because he died in the first season, and he is actually a ghost possessing his own body.
One of the most talked about theories among Pokémon fans revolves around why the shows protagonist, Ash Ketchum, never ages. Ash first started his journey to become a Pokémon Master back in 1997. Twenty-three years and 7 seasons later, Ash is still portrayed as a 10-year-old boy.
Its easy to just dismiss Ashs perpetual youth as an intentional trope to maintain a sense of continuity over the last couple decades, not dissimilar to Matt Groenings The Simpsons. However, fans have thought of more clever theories to explain Ashs seemingly immortality. Whether hes been in a coma since Pokémons premiere or has been granted the wish of eternal happiness by the legendary Pokémon Ho-Oh, theorists have had a lot of fun contemplating Ashs ageless mystery.

A few years back, Reddit user u/askthetyrant2 brought up the popular theory that Ash is actually dead, and gives some compelling reasons to back this claim. One episode in particular supports this theory: Pokémon season 1 episode 22, The Tower of Terror, in which Ash does appear to die.

When I finished the Indigo League I did a top 10 best and worst post. I wasnt sure if I was going to do something similar since the season was so short. After some thinking I realized that yes, there were notable bad and good episodes. So I might as well talk about them. This will really be a short tidbit on each episode and a link to my full review. These episodes arent nearly as bad as the worst in the Indigo League, but still deserve a dishonorable mention.
5. The Wacky Watcher!
I wouldnt call this a bad episode. Really none of the episodes in the Orange Islands were bad. It was just boring. Yeah its cool seeing magikarp fleshed out, but at the end of the day its still just an episode about animal migration. Even an eccentric scientist who sounds strangely like Ray Romano couldnt save this one.
4. Stage Fight!
The plot is a Raichu who has stage fright because its trainer is a spaz. As soon as Kay threw her Raichu it was pretty over for me. The theater troop felt barely there and they were supposed to be the focus. Probably the only episode on the list that isnt boring, its just so poorly executed.
3. Fit to be Tide
Its a gym leader episode, it shouldnt be bad. The animation really lets this episode down. Its a big fast paced race, the animation shouldnt be so choppy and cheap looking. It takes all the excitement out of the episode.

The hosts were Mayumi Iizuka as Kasumi and Yji Ueda as Takeshi . They were regularly joined by Kaba-chan, Manami Aihara, Bernard Ackah and Rex Jones as the comedy team “Shio Kosh”, Megumi Hayashibara as Musashi , Shin-ichiro Miki as Kojir , and Inuko Inuyama as Nysu . The show ran from October 15, 2002, to September 28, 2004, when it was replaced by PokémonSunday.
Why Is Pokemon Still Relevant Today After All These Years
This question has no real answer, but its clear that the franchise has taken on a life of its own. There are many reasons why people adore this series that started in 1996. Pokemon has always been fun for kids and adults alike with its unique art style, characters, story, and collectibles that can be purchased.
Even though pokemon is for everyone, it has always had its main base in children. For this reason, the franchise continuously introduces new generations of people to its world through video games, television shows, movies, toys, and card games. And every child who gets into pokemon becomes an adult fan eventually.

First Episode Of Pokmon: Twilight Wings On
The first episode of Pokémon: Twilight Wings, Letter aired on YouTube yesterday, hitting fans with its TM29. The animation by Studio Colorido is somehow reminiscent of their 2018 movie Penguin Highway, the older Pokémon anime style and the Nintendo video games all at the same time. Personally, the vibrant and smooth visuals of the six-minute episode left me yearning for a full-length anime, at least a film.
The Art and Animation style of #PokemonTwilightWings is simply gorgeous. It has this simple and clean line work combined with consistent lighting that just makes everything glow.It has this warm, nostalgic vibe and I cant pinpoint why.. but I love it.

Twilight Wings tells the story of John, a hospitalized kid who looks up to the Champion Leon. Leon is the final boss that the player faces off in Pokémon: Sword and Shield and is not the only character from the game to appear in the series. The short series is based in Galar region and so, it was expected to include characters from SwSh, and that it does. If you have played SwSh, the anime will give you a deeper look into the characters from the game. For viewers that havent played the game, the series might still prove to be enjoyable as a short spin-off to the original anime.
I feel like Pokemon Sword and Shield missed some opportunities for character work, especially when it came to Rose, so I’m excited for the rest of Twilight Wings! I can’t wait to see more of these characters!

The history of Pokemon began with one single japan man named Satoshi Tajiri. It was his hobby. Over time he decided to put his idea of catching creatures into practice, to give children the same thrills he had as a child of catching insects and tadpoles. Tajiri and friends worked a lot of hours on designs and Tajiri even went with unpaid hours to make his dreams come true for the game. It nearly drove partners bankrupt, and several employees quit due to financial conditions. The first Pokemon games, Pokemon red and green, came to Japan on February 27, 1996, which fulfilled Tajiris dreams. Because of the success rate in Japan with the Pokemon games, they released it overseas.
The anime, as well as Pokemon Yellow, marked Pikachu as the most popular and recognized creature in Pokemon history, turning it into the franchises mascot. This led to a small spin-off game called Hey You, Pikachu!, which was released in Japan on December 12, 1998, and in North America on November 6, 2000. This was a virtual-pet game, utilizing the Nintendo 64s Voice Recognition Unit to let the players interact verbally with Pikachu. When the anime finished following the games story with Ashs defeat in the Pokémon League in January 1999, it started a new season in a new region called the Orange Archipelago.

Pokmon: Pikachu And Ash Died Way Earlier Than You Realized
In Pokémon, Ash Ketchum’s journey to catch ’em all almost ended before it ever really started.
In the world of Pokémon, main protagonists, Ash Ketchum and his partner Pikachu are far from immortal. Though they appear to be ageless and time seems irrelevant, the two have died more than once. Ash’s most famous death came when he ran between the crossfire of Mew and Mewtwo in the Pokémon: The First Movie, which turned the trainer to literal stone — only for him to be restored by the tears of Pokémon and clones alike.
However, that wasn’t the first time Ash perished. He also died in the Pokémon anime near the start of his Indigo Adventures. In the Lavender Town, Ash and Pikachu were murdered in a series of ghostly events that culminated on Ash and Pikachu becoming spirits and pulling spirited pranks on Misty that, from her perspective, came straight out of a horror movie.

Team Rocket Vs Team Plasma
Two episodes from the series’ fifth season, Black & White, remain unaired. The two-part “Team Rocket vs. Team Plasma!” event would’ve pitted the titular organizations, two of the best villainous teams in the Pokémon franchise, against each other. It would’ve featured the debut of Team Plasma and the returns of Looker and Giovanni.
However, the Japanese network postponed the two episodes following the 2011 Thoku earthquake and tsunami. The episodes were never dubbed and remain unaired. The 112th episode of the Best Wishes anime, “Team Plasma’s Pokémon Power Plot,” effectively erases the events of “Team Rocket vs. Team Plasma” from the anime’s continuity.

When Did The Pokmon Anime Series First Air
The Pokémon anime series first aired on the Fox Kids Network in the United States, July 18, 1999.
The anime first aired in Japan on April 1, 1997 the Pokémon anime series made its television debut in the United States on September 7, 1998 as part of the Fox Kids lineup.
After a couple of schedule changes it eventually landed on Saturday mornings at 9:00 AM Eastern time, where it would remain until the shows initial run ended on January 21, 2000.
As for when it started airing in other countries, Canada was the first country outside of the United States to air an episode of Pokémon , and France was the last country in Europe to premiere a Pokémon episode .
The first season of the show is the only one to have been produced by both a Japanese animation studio and an American animation studio , with OLM ultimately taking over production duties for all subsequent seasons.

Episode Of Pokmon Wont Air In The Us Over Blackface Concerns
The 64th episode in the Pokémon Sun and Moon series, titled Touchdown of Friendship!!, will not air in the United States because Ash Ketchum is pictured in blackface, Polygonreports. The episode already aired in Japan, but Disney XD, the network that airs the show, has chosen to skip ahead to the next one in the season. The move will mark the first time a Pokémon episode has been unaired in the U.S. since 2002.

The episodes plot involves Ash getting to know a tribe of Passimians, a kind of Pokémon. He develops a need to protect and support the creatures he gets so close to them, in fact, that he ends up acting like them by walking on all fours, for example. He also decides to wear a costume to make himself look more like a Passimian, a move that includes painting his face black.
This isnt the first time race has caused a Pokémon episode to be banned in this country. A 2002 episode featured Jynx, a Pokémon some thought to be an offensive African-American caricature. Jynx was eventually updated to have a purple face. However, since the original episode still features the original look, it did not air in the U.S. and has been banned from re-airing. Other Pokémon episodes have not aired for various other controversial issues not having to do with race.
Has anyone else noticed that Jynx wears blackface and is also the only Pokemon who is weirdly sexualised?

New Pokemon Journeys Titles Tease A Surprise Trade And Bea’s Debut
Pokemon Journeys has been back in action for a few weeks now following its delay, and fans have never been happier to see the show. After debuting late last year, Pokemon’s new anime has shaken up the formula used by most other seasons before it. Now, some brand-new episode titles for the season have gone live, and they promise to introduce some intriguing new stories.
Recently, social media was flooded with translations of the Pokemon Journeys titles after they surfaced in Japan. Fans were quick to translate the titles, and Playerking95 shared them with fans on Twitter:

As you can see, the three titles are succinct, but they pack a lot of info. The first episode named, which airs on August 16, plans to feature some sort of Pokemon trade. In Japan, the official term used for trading is exchange, and that same language is used in the title of episode 33.
There is no telling which Pokemon might be traded, but fans are curious if it might go down between Ash and Goh. After all, the latter has caught a lot of small-time Pokemon, but his recent acquisition of Sobble did stir up debate in the fandom. That is why fans are wondering is Ash might trade one of his monsters for Sobble, but that is hard to imagine given how attached he is to his team.
Third Game And Discontinuation In North America
The third game bought back the original cast from the first two seasons and the first two games, while Griffin Burns would reprise his role as Nate one final time.
Nathan Adams has moved from the upstate American city of Springdale to the southern town of BBQ after his father was transferred . The Yo-kai around BBQ have corresponding American looks and abilities. Unlike the first two games, the player is not given the choice to select between Adams and an equivalent female protagonist, Katie Forester.
Meanwhile, back in Springdale, which served as the setting for the first two games, Hailey Anne Thomas is now a playable character who has formed a ykai detective team. The third game only sold around 4,000 copies in the west, due to its rarity and many stores in North America only receiving two or three copies.
When I first reviewed the game I later found out that the original cast from the first two games and the first two seasons reprised their roles one final time instead of the whole season 3 cast.
And the reason why the Yo-kai Watch franchise failed in North America? Heres why:
The anime series faced a decline in viewership of the show, with the increase of recurring scrappy characters, toilet humor, the derailment of several popular Yo-kai from the games, Flanderization of several characters, and, in the case of the English dub, replacing the entire voice cast due to said budgeting issues.
