Supposedly! With the new Pokémon Go Gym system, you motivate friendly Pokémon by feeding the Berries Razz, Pinap, Nanab, or Golden Razz. Once in a very rare while, you get a Candy for the kind of Pokémon you feed. So, for example, if you feed a Blissey, you get a Blissey Candy.

I’ve fed hundreds of Berries to Pokémon on Gyms, though, and I can’t recall getting a single Candy, so it’s likely very rare.

• 1 Candy, very rarely, from feeding a friendly Pokémon on a Gym.

Once you have rare candy, you can use it on any Pokémon you wish.

The first, and arguably most important, part of this update addresses the issues of Mega Evolution sustainability and monetization it’s now possible to walk your Pokemon to obtain energy for them.

Energy requirements for Beedrill and Gengar

Players will receive 5 Mega Energy per Km walked in-game, with the hand-out period tied to a given Pokemon’s candy distance. However, this only works for Pokemon that you have already Mega Evolved previously. So if you don’t farm enough energy to Mega Evolve a given species initially, then it won’t be farmable. While we don’t have any information on the 5k and 20k distance tiers, the way that this system is built suggests the following energy gains:

Again this is not yet confirmed, but it seems likely given the confirmed 1k and 3k Mega Energy generation rate.

How Many Trainers Are Needed

Mega Beedrill can be defeated with two trainers, but if you cannot guarantee the top counters with maxed-out CP and the best moves, your best bet is to make sure you have three or more players.

Using the Circle Lock Technique to guarantee Great or Excellent throws, along with Golden Razz Berries, is the best way to catch Pokémon. However, I personally suggest trying Pinap Berries for the first few throws, as you can multiply the already increased number of Candies that an evolved Pokémon like this will yield.

Pokmon Gos Latest Update Allows Trainers To Get Mega Energy By Walking A Buddy

Mega Energy is much easier to get now.

Pokémon Go has received an update that adds a new way to get Mega Energy. Now, trainers can get five to 15 Mega Energy every time they earn a candy.

This only works with Pokémon that already have a Mega Evolution and at least one Pokémon from that family has to have Mega Evolved before to unlock this new system. So you can set a Weedle as your buddy Pokémon and it will still grant you Beedril Mega Energy since its from the same Pokémon family.

The update also adds bonus candy for any raid or when catching Pokémon that are the same type as your active Mega Evolution. Heres the list of all the Pokémon that can Mega Evolve in Pokémon Go right now:

How To Get And Use Mega Energy

To mega evolve a Pokémon, you first need to collect mega energy.

Like candy, each Pokémon that can mega evolve has its own mega energy.

If you want a Mega Charizard, youll need to scrape together enough Charizard mega energy. But you cant use another Pokémons mega energy to get Mega Charizard.

To get mega energy, you can:

• Battle mega evolved Pokémon in raids, where youll earn the mega energy of the Pokémon youre fighting. Youll get more mega energy the faster you complete the raid
• Complete certain research tasks that reward you with mega energy for a particular Pokémon
• You can also earn mega energy by walking with your buddy Pokémon. To get this bonus, you must have previously mega evolved a Pokémon in your buddys evolutionary line. So if Mega Blastoise is in your Mega Pokédex, and you make Squirtle your buddy, youll get mega energy when walking with your buddy

You need a lotof mega energy to get a mega Pokémon, and it will take a long time before you have enough.

To make things trickier, mega evolved Pokémon are not always available in raids which is a pain as battling them is the quickest way to get mega energy.

When a mega Pokémon disappears from raids, it may be a long time before it comes back.

So when a mega evolution is starring in raids, make sure to stock up on mega energy before it leaves.

You can only carry a maximum of 2,000 mega energy per Pokémon species. But as mega energy is hard to get, this is unlikely to ever be a problem.

How Can Pokemon Go Trainers Mega Evolve Charizard

As of now, the primary way everyone can get Mega Energy is through Mega Raids. Trainers who defeat Mega Raid bosses will be rewarded with a fair amount of Mega Energy. The amount usually depends on how quickly the raid is defeated, so its good for trainers to bring their strongest Pokemon and try to win in as little time as possible.

One important thing to note about Mega Raids is that defeating a Mega Pokemon will only yield the energy for that specific Pokemon. Therefore, the only way to get Mega Charizard Energy is waiting for a cycle where Mega Charizard is a raid boss and then defeating it. Sadly, at the moment Mega Charizard is not a raid boss.

Anyone who has already Mega Evolved a Charizard before, however, is in luck. They can gain some Mega Energy simply by walking with a Pokemon in that evolution line as their buddy.

‘mega Gengar’ Dates And Times In Pokmon Go Explained

Mega Gengar is a special Timed Research questline running during the 2020 Halloween event and rewards you with Mega Gengar Candy.

You’ll only have access to NAME if you managed to complete the previous Timed Research questline, Mega Buddy Challenge.

The Mega Gengar quest is only available during the Halloween event which is running between Friday, 23rd October to Tuesday, 3rd November and has the following ending times:

• UK – 2am
• East Coast US – 9pm
• West Coast US – 6pm

The Mega Gengar quest consists of three quest steps, with rewards for every challenge and overall step. This questline is shorter than most research quests, because it’s a Timed Research quest and, once the Halloween event ends, you’ll never be able to access it again.

The purpose of this quest is to introduce Mega Gengar by rewarding you with a good amount of Mega Gengar Candy, which is used to conduct this Mega Evolution.

To round off the end of the year is the Holidays 2021 event, the Season of Heritage, the Stardust Challenge and a refreshed Go Battle League.Ongoing are Arlo, Cliff, Sierra counters and Giovanni counters.Other major updates in the past year include a level cap increase, the introduction of XL Candy, boosts to some XP sources and the addition of Platinum Medals.

How Mega Evolutions Work In Pokmon Go

Mega Evolutions are an additional, more powerful evolution that certain Pokémon – such as the original Kanto starters – can undertake.

To Mega Evolve a Pokémon in Pokémon Go, you need a resource named Mega Energy. Once a Pokémon has been Mega Evolved, it will stay in that form for a limited amount of time and can be used in a variety of battles.

Once it has returned to its normal form, the Mega Energy you need to Mega Evolve it again later will be decreased.

Some Pokémon evolutions take as little as 12 Candy, like Pidgey others can take 50, 100, or even 400 . Typically, the more Candy you need, the more powerful the evolution. You can’t use Dratini Candy to evolve Bulbasaur or vice versa.

Most recently, it’s also needed along with stardust to buy your Pokémon second Charge Moves for Trainer Battles, Raids, and Gyms. There, it ranges based on rarity, with common Pokémon only requiring 10 candy and Legendary, 100.

You can, however, use the new Rare Candy, often awarded when you win Battle Raids or complete Field Research, to power up any kind of Pokémon.
