How To Increase Pokemon Lets Go Shiny Odds With Lures

Going Barefoot in Pokemon GO to Increase Shiny Chances! POKEFACT OR POKEFICTION?

Aside from Catch Combos and the Shiny Charm, there is another way to increase your odds of finding shiny Pokemon. Lures are items you can buy in any Poke Mart throughout Kanto after beating the Gym Leader in Cerulean City. At first, only standard Lures will be available to buy, but the more Gym Leaders you beat, the better the Lures you will be able to purchase.

There are three types of Lures to buy: standard, Super Lures, and Max Lures. They dont come cheap, however, with your standard Lure setting you back 400 Poke Dollars, with Super and Max costing 700 and 900, respectively. To use a Lure, just head to whatever area youd like, open up the Item Menu and place one down. They only last a short while, with limits of steps you can take before they run out, but they increase your odds of finding shiny and rare Pokemon dramatically. With any of the three Lures activated , the odds of finding a shiny increase to 1 in 2048, rather than the normal 1 in 4096.

Of course, stacking together all three areas of shiny hunting listed in this guide will be your best bet at finding shinies. Own the Shiny Charm, hit a Catch Combo of 31x, and using a Lure will increase the odds of finding shiny Pokemon to 1 in 273. Hopefully, youll be finding green Cubones, purple Lapras, and blue Psyducks in no time at all. It shouldnt take ages to find shiny Pokemon when you know all the tricks needed to incrase the Pokemon Lets Go shiny odds.

Complete Pokemon Go Shiny List

All of the Pokemon on our Pokemon Go shiny list below can be found as shinies in Pokemon Go, including how you obtain them all, as some are exclusive to raids or eggs. Currently, all evolutions cannot be caught as shiny – the only exceptions to this are Pikachu, Nidorina, Nidoqueen, and Alolan Exeggutor.

How To Increase Pokemon Lets Go Shiny Odds With Catch Combos

Catch Combos are a new addition in Pokemon Lets Go. Essentially, the more times you catch a single Pokemon in a row, the more likely you are to find ones that have maxed out IVs and even shinies. Its simple and quick enough to do when you no longer battle wild Pokemon in Lets Go. You just need to make sure that the Pokemon doesnt run away, or that you catch a Weedle in the middle of a Caterpie hunt.

Every time you catch another of the same Pokemon species in a row, its Catch Combo will increase. In order to improve the shiny odds, however, youll need to catch at least 11 of the same Mon in a row. Catch Combos of 11x, 21x, and 31x will improve your odds of finding a shiny Pokemon incrementally. The odds do not raise after a 31x Catch Combo, however, so you dont need to worry about hitting ridiculous combos. Along with having the Shiny Charm and using Lures , a 31x Catch Combo will increase the odds of finding encountering any shiny Pokemon to 1 in 273.

Remember, your odds of finding any shiny Pokemon will increase with any Catch Combo, its just that if you catch a shiny Ratata after a 31x combo of Geodudes, your combo will reset. Our advice? Head to a spot full of easy-to-catch Pokemon and build up a Catch Combo of 31x. Then, head to an area of the Pokemon youre after and search for a shiny. As long as you escape from a wild Pokemon encounter before they run away, your Catch Combo will remain.

It is possible to cheat in Pokémon Go, but some cheating can get you banned. In fact, the games developer Niantic is really cracking down on cheating.

Currently there are no maps which display the location and stats of all Pokémon, and there has been little to no progress from the hackers which had previously managed to reverse engineer the games API very quickly.

Plus, the in-game Pokémon tracker has been improved and prioritises Pokémon you havent yet caught and added to the Pokédex. This has made it much, much easier to catch regional Pokémon when youre travelling, so maps arent quite as essential now.

The tracker can still be improved, though, and its still an issue for rural players in particular.

‘pokmon Go’ Shiny Magikarp Odds: How To Increase Your Chances Of Getting Golden Pokmon

Pokémon Go‘sWater Festival event brought with it the arrival of shiny Pokémon, specifically golden Magikarp and red Gyarados. But here’s the kicker: unlike eyeballing a Magikarp’s gender based on the color of its whiskers, you can’t tell if a Magikarp you encounter in the overworld is shiny until you tap on it and initiate Pokémon catching mode.

Naturally, this has made some players wonder whether or not Niantic has a hidden mechanism for determining whether a Magikarp is shiny based on player data.

What Does A Shiny Pokemon Look Like

Shiny Pokemon have a different visual appearance when compared to the normal versions. Youll also find that shiny Pokemon have a shiny icon next to them which is three stars. If you encounter a shiny Pokemon in the wild this icon with three stars will appear near the Pokemons CP. If you catch a Shiny Pokemon you will also notice that the name is a different color in the game.

Anytime you are in the Pokemon GO overworld you cannot see whether a Pokemon is shiny or not. It will only reveal itself to be shiny once youve attempted to capture it. So then how will you know if a Pokemon is shiny or not? Well, you simply need to tap on as many Pokemon as possible. Many say that using the games AR Mode is the fastest way to see whether a Pokemon is shiny or not in Pokemon GO.

What Pokmon Go’s Shiny Rates Are

The Shiny rates in Pokémon GO have been calculated by the people at The Silph Road after immense observation. Although the rates are estimates, theyve shown themselves to be consistent enough to be accurate. On average, theres a 1 in 500 chance, or .2%, for a wild Pokémon in Pokémon GO to be Shiny, although the rates change depending on various circumstances. The rate appears to be eight times higher – a 1 in 62.5 chance, or 1.6% – for very rare wild spawns, certain Shadow Pokémon, and certain raid Pokémon. Less rare encounters seem to have a smaller boost of four times, or a 1 in 125 chance .

Legendary and Mythical Pokémon in Pokémon GO instead appear to have a 1 in 20, or 5% Shiny rate. The featured Community Day Pokémon has an increased Shiny rate of 1 in 15, or 4%, and the featured Pokémon in the three-hour Raid Days have been observed to have a 1 in 10, or 10%, chance of being Shiny, the highest observed in Pokémon GO. Other special Pokémon, such as those featured in Special Research events, GO Fest, and Safari Zone events, also have an increased Shiny chance, although their rates seem to fluctuate between events.

    What Are Shiny Pokmon

Shiny Pokémon are short versions of Pokémon that are differently colored than their regular versions. They have a unique appearance and are extremely rare to find. For each Pokémon, only one shiny version exists. An icon above their CP can identify a Shiny Pokémon. However, in the Map view and Sightings view, Shiny Pokémon look the same as their regular versions. They appear in their shiny form on the Encounter screen and on the Summary page, where they also have an aura of stars around them and a shiny icon above their CP.

Shiny Pokémon is unique to each player, so one player might encounter a Shiny Pokémon in a particular area. In contrast, another player might encounter its regular version in the same area. The probability of finding Shiny Pokémon is higher in special events like Community Days or Pokémon GO Fests. In some cases, Shiny Pokémon can also be hatched from eggs.

Total Pokmon Fought Battle The Pokmon You Want A Shiny Of

At the time I took this screenshot, I had fought Wooloo 616 times.

Another way to increase your chances is by having battled a Pokémon several times during your game. You can check to see how many times you’ve fought a specific Pokémon by checking your Pokédex. Your chances of finding a shiny increase incrementally when you’ve fought the same Pokémon 1, 20, 50, 100, 200, 300, or 500 times total. That means that the best way to increase your chances is by having fought the same Pokémon 500 times during your game. That’s definitely a lot, but for the serious shiny hunter, it’s worth it. If you’ve gotten to the end of the game, you might have gotten close to that number. Otherwise, it will take a lot of work to battle a Pokémon that much.

Fun fact, I’ve been shiny hunting for Wooloo for over 17 hours. In that time, I’ve fought well over 1,000 of them. However, the Pokédex stops counting once you’ve fought 999 of the same Pokémon.

But Wait What The Heck Is A Lucky Egg

Its an egg thats lucky! Really, its filled with happiness and most importantly, grants you double the amount of experience points you can gain for 30 minutes at a time.
