Pokemon: Let’s Go Pikachu And Let’s Go Eevee

A blend of conventional RPG and Pokemon Go gameplay, Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu and Let’s Go, Eevee on the Nintendo Switch introduced a new generation of Pokemon trainers to the Kanto region, with stylish reimagining of the original Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow Game Boy games. Instead of randomly encountering Pokemon in tall grass, you can see potential companions wandering around in the wild, making it easier to complete your Pokedex. Another significant change to the series’ norm is the focus on motion controls for catching Pokemon. You can either emulate the act of throwing a Poke Ball using a Joy-Con or tilt the Nintendo Switch in handheld to aim your throw, using the same circle timing system seen in Pokemon Go. Above all else, Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu and Let’s Go, Eevee are a lovely way to experience Kanto, where it all began.

Let’s Go, Eevee/Pikachu stands out as the best-looking main-series Pokemon game by far thanks to Nintendo Switch‘s high definition graphics. The 720p handheld and 1080p console graphics are more crisp and detailed than they looked in Pokemon Sun and Moon, with extensive animations for the 3D-modeled Pokemon and their attacks. Pokemon moves still generally appear as the character model wiggling, followed by a big glowing special effect, but even then there are some very detailed and great-looking animations. For example, Eevee can learn a fire element tackle, Sizzly Slide, which includes an adorable little tail wiggle before it bursts into flames and pounces on its opponent.

The hero Pokemon, Eevee and Pikachu, particularly look good, since you’ll be spending most of the game staring at them either fighting for you or riding on your head. They’re also customizable, with shirts, hats, and glasses you can dress them up in to go with your own character’s different outfits. The game looks more in line with the anime than it ever did, as well, with trainer models matching their look in the cartoon .

Fatal Frame: Maiden Of Black Water

Previously a Wii U exclusive in the Fatal Frame franchise , Koei Tecmo’s Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water was one of the few titles that actually made use of Wii U’s central asymmetrical gimmick. That coupled with a lukewarm critical reception made a Switch port seem unlikely we gave it a 2/10 likelihood of a Switch port in our round-up of the Wii U games not yet on Switch.

The franchise has a devoted and loyal fan base, though, and Koei Tecmo has made the decision to rework the Gamepad elements and bring the game not only to Switch, but other platforms, too. A very welcome surprise!

Pokmon Sword & Shield

Connect Pokemon Go To Nintendo Switch SOLUTION! (Plus Catching Meltan)

Taking the typically portable mainline series to consoles for the first time is a daunting trial, but Game Freak delivered a decent effort with Sun & Moon. Yes, it doesnt have all the Pokémon from the past series, but thats okay with a generation of Pokémon that feels unique to the region of Galar . The game felt truly inspired by the United Kingdom as battles took place in large arenas similar to football games across the country. As a Brit myself, I loved all the different references.

The new open fields of Pokémon Sun & Moon had the developer Game Freak dip its toes into what a big open-world RPG based on the series would be. It is a tantalizing taste of whats to come, as there was plenty to find if you looked in-depth enough.

In addition, the legendaries have an amazing design, with one carrying a sword and the other having a shield. Their attacks are badass like many other Pokémon in the game. It might be disappointing for some, but Sword & Shield is a grand stepping stone for the future of the series. Oh, and did we mention that you can make your Pokémon giant? Thats a neat feature.

How To Transfer Pokmon From Pokmon Go To Pokmon Let’s Go

Nintendo Switch

When the Pokémon Go account connected to Let’s Go on Switch, approach the receptionist in Fuchsia City’s Go Park and ask to ‘Bring Pokémon’.

Next, choose a Go Park of your choice. This is simply where the creatures will arrive.

Confirm, and then it’ll begin searching for Go account activity.

Now it’s the turn of the Pokémon Go account on your phone. View your list of Pokémon, and press the Switch icon on to top right. Now any Pokémon you select will be able to be sent to Let’s Go. Select as many as you like, then when ready, select ‘Send to Nintendo Switch’ at the bottom of the screen.

You’ll then get a warning and a confirmation when the transfer is complete.

Back to Let’s Go. Once the account has been found, agree, and the transfer will take place.

With that being successful, you now have to catch the Pokémon in the Go park you deposited it in. Return to the receptionist, select ‘Enter a Go Park’ and select the specific Park you transferred the creature to.

You’ll then run around inside the park and locate the creature.

Catch it, and it’s yours!

If any of the above steps of the phone side of things was confusing, here’s a complete video of the process, from syncing to transferring, as well as the Mystery Box and Meltan reward:
