How To Catch Shaymin
Although all players can receive Oak’s Letter, you must first enter the Hall of Fame and obtain the National Pokedex before you can encounter Shaymin. After completing those requirements and downloading the letter, you’ll need to meet Professor Oak on Route 224.
To reach the route, you must venture inside Victory Road and make your way to its easternmost exit. During the trek you’ll come upon a foggy cavern, where you’ll briefly team up with a character named Marley. Use the Defog hidden move to clear the mist and continue heading east through the cave until you reach the exit.
Speak with Professor Oak on Route 224 to encounter Shaymin.
Head along Route 224 and you’ll eventually encounter Professor Oak, who is examining a mysterious stone tablet. Speak with him to trigger a cutscene that opens a long, flowery pathway to the Flower Paradise, where Shaymin awaits. Interact with the mythical Pokemon to begin a battle encounter.
Shaymin will only be level 30, so take care not to knock it out before catching it. A good strategy is to bring a Pokemon that knows the False Swipe attack, which is guaranteed to leave the opposing Pokemon with at least 1 HP. You’ll also increase your odds of catching Shaymin if you inflict it with a status condition, such as sleep or paralysis. Keep these strategies in mind and you should have little trouble capturing the mythical Pokemon.

For the sake of completeness, it may be worth saying a few words about evolving Drifloon into Drifblim. Fortunately, this is a much more straightforward process than catching the Pokemon, as Drifloon will evolve simply upon reaching Level 28. Pokemon BDSPs EXP share mechanic makes doing this an absolute breeze, as players do not even need to send their Drifloons into battle to get them to the requisite level.

After ten years of Game Boy Pokémon catching and battling, the core game mechanic still holds up as an addictive game design — tons of strategic depth and gameplay that’s incredibly rewarding it’s one of those games that offers an enormous sense of accomplishment for even the littlest things performed. And the touch screen functions of the Nintendo DS help move things faster and easier with simple navigation menus. The developers more capitalize on the system’s capabilities in function and interface rather than visual and audio presentation. Sure, there are elements going on here that couldn’t be done on the Game Boy Advance, but it’s hard to argue that the game looks and sounds a heck of a lot like the past portable versions. 8-bit limitations drove the game’s original style, but now that the limits are no longer there it’s a little bit of a letdown that Game Freaks played the whole Pokémon production conservatively instead of pushing something more epic. Shining Pearl Exclusive Generation 1 Pokemon
Brilliant Diamond has some great Pokemon exclusives from the first games, but so does Shining Pearl. Weedle, Kakuna, Beedrill, Sandshrew, Sandslash, Vulpix, Ninetales, Slowpoke, Slowbro, Magmar, Pinsir, Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres are the first-generation Pokemon exclusive to Shining Pearl.
The standouts of that crowd are the legendary birds. Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres are some of the best legendaries the series has ever created, mixing elemental powers with Flying-type Pokemon for example, Zapdos is a very good Electric/Flying-type combo. How Do Natures Work In Pokemon Brilliant Diamond And Shining Pearl
Simply put, natures form a mechanic that increases one of the six primary attributes of a Pokemon, while also decreasing another attribute at the same time. There are a total of 25 natures in the game, with five of them being neutral natures. All adjustments to stats through natures are equivalent to 10 percent of the relevant stats.
For example, take a Garchomp with a Jolly nature. Said Garchomp will have 10 percent more Speed, while losing 10 percent of its Special Attack. Meanwhile, a Garchomp with the Adamant nature will have 10 percent more Attack while losing 10 percent of its Special Attack.

Every Pokemon in the game has a nature. Upon their introduction in Generation III, each Pokemons nature was determined at random. Natures are still determined randomly in Generation VIII otherwise.

Unfortunately, it seems that the Global Wonder Station is still not ready for the public. There hasnt been any confirmation or details leading up to when this place will be accessible. However, all we have for now is speculation.
Pokemon HOME, the cloud-based storage app for transferring your Pokemon between Sword/Shield, the Lets Go games, and Pokemon GO, is going to have support with BDSP sometime in 2022. When the Sinnoh remakes do get support with HOME, it would not be that much of a surprise if the GWS opens.
More people trading in the game will give players more of an incentive to go out and catch more Pokemon. Over time, our boxes are going to fill up in our PCs, so we might need that extra bit of cloud storage to transfer some mons over, or even between games.

A new Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl update was released lasted night via Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite, and Nintendo Switch with a major new feature and patch notes that revealed and detailed everything developer Game Freak changed. That said, while digging through the files of the update, dataminers have discovered that the update did more than just what the patch notes reveal, which isn’t uncommon, as developers add work to the game that hasn’t been finalized and released yet.
Taking to Twitter, a prominent Pokemon dataminer relayed word evidence that suggests that Pokemon Home transfers are finally coming soon. We knew the feature was coming to the game, and coming this year, but there’s been no hint at when exactly the feature would come to the game, but now it looks like it’s going to be very soon.

Fly to Canalave Island.
Talk to the mother and child.
Walk to the right and enter the forest.
Cresselia will flee and leave behind a Luna Feather. Pick up the Luna Feather.
Enter the Sailor’s house and talk to the child.
Now open your Pokétch by pressing the R button and use the to locate Cresselia.
If you don’t already have the Marking Map app, you can get it by entering the Pokétch Company Building in Jubilife City and talking with the president on the ground floor. He’ll only give it to you if you have at least three gym badges.

There is no beating the Pokemon from the original games, Red and Blue. They are classics, and even the smaller Pokemon may set the hearts of fans aflutter. Caterpie, Metapod, Butterfree, Scyther, Electabuzz, Seel, Dewgong, Ekans, Arbok, Growlithe, and Arcanine are all exclusive to Brilliant Diamond.
All eleven of those Pokemon have merits to them. Butterfree has great moves, like Sleep Powder, which can help catch Pokemon. Finding a Pokemons nature in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl is easy. Simply open a Pokemons summary page, then scroll over to the second tab from the left. Youll see the Pokemons nature in plain text there.
If you scroll over to the next tab from there, the stats affected by its nature will show up in red and blue and have arrows next to them. These arrows indicate which stats the Pokemons nature increases and decreases, respectively.

ILCAs faithfulness to the original Diamond and Pearl extends to the original pairs weaknesses, too, and nowhere does the commitment surface more conflicting emotions than in the roster of Pokémon you can build your team from. Diamond and Pearl have an utterly bizarre slate of Pokémon partners, skewed heavily toward a handful of types that make it challenging to assemble anything resembling a balanced group without being railroaded into using a few specific staples .
Thats still mostly the case in the Brilliant and Shining versions. ILCA devoutly stuck to the original roster monsters for the main story, with the rest unlocked in post-game and, frankly, some of the original Diamond and Pearl Pokémon line-up kind of stinks! While Platinums expanded roster is available for capture if you make enough visits to the Grand Underground and hunt long and hard enough, they dont appear on the surface where most of the story takes place, and it can be tricky to sniff out the exact partners you want to balance your team. Meanwhile, above ground, every other Pokémon is a Geodude, and there still arent enough fire-types to properly counter the hundred or so Bronzor youll inevitably have to fight.

If you want to collect Mystery Gifts in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, you must first unlock the feature. This can be done in the Jubilife TV Center anytime after you’ve earned the first Gym badge and defeated the two Team Galactic Grunts at the northern exit of Jubilife City.
With these feats completed, visit the Jubilife TV Center and take the elevator to the third floor. Here you’ll find a man who, when talked to, will ask you what kind of programming you’re interested in.
